TRIBUTE TO MY WONERFUL MOTHER- IN-LAW
O death! You snatched from me my wonderful and loving mother- in-
law without any sign, permission or notice about her death. Your death make me so sad but I am encouraged that it's God’s word that is being fulfilled this day (Ecc. 3 : 1 -12) ‘’there is time for every thing, a time to be born and a time to die”. MAMA, the day you breath your last was the day God had appointed for you to depart this sinful world. Though you have gone sooner than expected, your memories linger on and on, kind gestures, compassionate nature and friendly tendencies are not likely to fade any time soon from our minds. We can’t question God for your departure. He knows more than we do. So we give him thanks for taking you to rest. May your soul rest in perfect peace. Adieu my wonderful mother- in-law Eld. Essien Ifut Ekanem (Son-in-law) TO A VIRTUOUS WOMAN THE BEST MUM EVER O what a tragedy! I don’t know if I have ever been so short of words. It still beats my mind to know you are gone. You were the best mother to me. It obvious that no matter how much I long to see you or at least hear your voice again, it cannot happen anymore. Who will fill the vacuum you have created in my life as a mother? Mummy you left me, who are you leaving me for, who will advise me, who will encourage me. your grand children are looking for you. I never dreamt to miss you now. I still find it impossible to belief that I will no longer see you on earth again. Remembering your ordeals during your youthful days to see how to meet our needs and how you brought your grand children up. You have sowed good seeds in all nooks and crannies but could stay to reap the fruit as you left us in death. I take solace in the words of God at 1 Thess. 4: 13 -14. I give God all the thanks for your life and all your achievements while on earth and not stayed to see what your children and grand children would become in the nearest future. I will always remember your motherly love advice. I love you and will deeply miss you my mummy. Enjoy your new home for all enternity. Sanga sung Eka usen mmi! ADIAHA MFO Dec. (Mrs) Nnene Essien Ifut
TRIBUTE TO MY IRREPLACEABLE GRAND MUM
Words and pages will not be enough to pay you a tribute. Death you have created a vacuum in the area of grandmother? The only one that remained, you took her away from me. If I continue to question your death, I will question the creator, but I must stop because time and season are in His hands. Grand mum I never dreamt to miss you so soon. MMA as I do call you, your demise is like a vision that is not clear. I’m told you are dead. Is it really true that you are death? I hurt so much, because you are part of what I am and what I will become. Your suffering to met our need during secondary school days, mostly during holidays with you. You trained us and hope to eat the fruit of your labour but now you are no more. Death you are very cruel to us. MMA your two words of advice were "FOCUS and HUMBLE YOURSELF” which is stuck in me. Grand mum you have left nice memories in us. This day is the fulfilment in Psalms 90: 3-6, which says ‘’you turn man back into dust. And say return o children of me. For a thousand years in your sight. Are like yesterday when it passes by, or as a watch in the night. You have swept them like a flood, they fall asleep; in the morning they like grass which sprouts anew. In the morning it flourishes and sprouts anew; toward evening it fades and withers away, and Ecc 3: 1-12, summarizes it saying.. I am consoled that you die in Christ. As it is written in Phil. 1: 21, says ‘’ To live is Christ, to die is gain. And according to Rev. 14: 13 ‘’ blessed are the dead, who die in the Lord form now on……………… And I belief that you are asleep MMA till the resurrection morning when we will meet to part no more. Bye bye mma. Your loving grand child Inyeneobong (As you fondly called me)
