Identifies and determines the functions of the different parts of the hemodialysis machine
Gathers and organizes supplies needed for the procedure
Observes appropriate PPE use
Obtains and verifies information for correct dialyzer and performs safety checks
prior to priming procedure
Performs the priming procedure correctly and systematically
Maintains the sterility of the extracorporeal blood circuit
Determines the cause of alarms and corrects alarms, accordingly
Completes necessary information on the patient’s chart
