According to the literatures reviewed in the article there are various factors that determine the
project management effectiveness and schedule management planning. The article mentioned
these factors in detail and tried to identify if factors that determine schedule management
planning have direct effect on project management effectiveness. Thus, the main purpose of the
article was examining the impact of schedule management plan on project management
effectiveness.

As it has been tried to mention earlier the purpose is to find the relationship between determining
schedule management planning factors and project management effectiveness. The center of
argument for this article was if any organization aims to be successfully run, performance and
timely accomplishment of goals are highly dependent on project management effectiveness.
In this regard, schedule management is highly relevant as it is the process of controlling,
scheduling, and monitoring the overall working process of an organization. The level of impact
schedule management planning and factors associated with project schedule planning
management have on project management effectiveness been the central argument of this article.

As discussed above the article mentioned the importance these mentioned factors in both project
management effectiveness and project scheduling management. Regarding project management
factors, the article outlined the main phases of all projects as conceptualization, planning,
execution and termination. The article also mentioned the importance of time management, clear
roles and responsibilities on project management effectiveness. The article viewed economic
factors in terms of employment opportunity and economic development the project could be to
the location of the project other its financial benefit. Risk and predicting its occurrence
probability and devising a plan to mitigate the risk were also addressed by the article.

Coming to factors that affect schedule management, the article outlined effective allocation of
resource as per the plan devised and with required flexibility to match the changing
circumstances. Together with allocating resources it would also be appropriate to have
competent leadership who can prioritize various phases of the project for efficient utilization of
the resources allocated. Additionally, the article addressed the needs for a proper match in
between inventory of the resources, availability of raw materials, and delivery dates.
Factors that affect both schedule management and project effectiveness were major issues that
article mainly reviewed. Accordingly, factors that affect project management effectiveness
included Project life cycle, clearly defined roles and responsibilities, time management,
economic factors, and risk. On the other hand, the article reviewed factors that schedule
management planning such as proper allocation of resources, incompetency of manager or team,
project priority, inventory of resources, and delivery dates , and availability of raw materials and
labor.

In addressing different specific project management topics, the article did not use much theories
and approaches in the field of project management.

The article adopted different methodologies. The study used descriptive to describe the
demographic profile and general background information pertaining to the implementation of schedule
management planning in the organizations and explanatory types of study to find out causal
relationship between the antecedents which are project scheduling management factors and
project management effectiveness. In doing so, the article employed quantitative approach. The
questionnaire for the study was developed and the questionnaire was organized in to three parts.
Participants were approached by email for data collection. Finally, aiming to determine the
effect of scheduling management factors on project management effectiveness SPSS was
employed to analyze the data.

Strengths off the articles


 The article is very well structured, ideas are clear and the writing is concise and
argumentative.
 The article clearly indicated the methodologies to be followed in conducting the study.
 Graphs and tables have been used to better illustrate the findings of the study.
 Evidences have been stated to validate the findings of the study.
 Recommendations have been made in support of the purpose of the study.

Weaknesses off the articles


 The article lacks theories and approaches to support the arguments raised.
 Sample data was collected from few participants and it is difficult to draw conclusion
from such a small size of population for further use.
 The article did not formulate its conceptual framework which may serve the purpose of
the study.
 The literature review is not comprehensive and not managed to successfully discuss the
importance of the research, from both a theoretical and an applied perspective.
 Recommendations were a bit shallow.
 The abstract of the article did not clearly mentioned
