Social media is free and some people say that it should not be prohibited, while others disagree.
This essay explores the effects social media has on people and argues against outlawing it.
Governments don't need to call for social media laws and restrictions because the majority of
people acquire their information through social media, including gossip, breaking news, and
conversations with people who have travelled abroad. For instance, our family can make free
international calls, chat sessions, and video calls. This is such that all you really require is a
stable internet connection. In the meantime, social media has seen a massive increase in users,
making it simpler for everyone to utilize. Social media has been the most common and quick
source of information in recent years. Unfortunately, some people think social media should be
outlawed since fake news may be easily propagated on it, even though it can break various state
laws and regulations.
The relatively recent controversy around Facebook's double standards was reignited by the
decision to block the former president Trump. The politician was purportedly barred for the
public's safety because he was suspected of instigating violent protests around the nation.
Facebook and its other platforms, on the other hand, have long struggled to implement fair
policies. For instance, the website encouraged offline violence and contemporary purging in
Myanmar (Stevenson, 2018). Facebook served the same purpose in Sri Lanka, as information
published there for about ten years served as propaganda and encouragement for violent behavior
(Burstein, 2020) Facebook doesn't police material or practice transparency, and it doesn't
promptly respond to human rights abuses anywhere it operates, not just in the US.
The fact that Facebook servers store an excessive amount of personal data is another issue. The
most that may happen is for governmental agencies that perform immoral monitoring to buy
people's data. Facebook was included in the list of influential organizations that Snowden
provided to journalists in 2013. (Collins, 2019). It denotes that the American corporation had
participated in the monitoring programmer alongside the National Security Agency. Tools that
were first designed to safeguard personal information are now employed to manipulate and
control people. It is impossible to survive without social networking sites, according to some
opponents.
Unfortunately, some people think social media should be banned because it made distributing
false information simple and may have violated several laws. For instance, war reporters must
abide by numerous laws in their respective countries, yet social media does not have any page or
account makers because to the prevalence of false sites and accounts. As a result, social media
was forbidden in China and other Middle Eastern nations. The quickest and most user-friendly
method available on the internet today was social media. The majority of people have the literacy
to grasp anything, thus every country must need to grow their human literacy to deal with
technology when all the reasons and instances have been taken into account and analyzed, in my
opinion. As a result, social media should not be outlawed today.

Pakistan is falling behind other nations in terms of Character Education? To what extent do
you agree or disagree??
Pre
(The building blocks of any nation's political, social, and economic development are education.
The nation can accomplish its goals thanks to a strong educational system. Education is essential
for changing people's minds and behaviors. It cultivates people's awareness and motivation,
resulting in highly civilized citizens who can guide the nation toward the road of socioeconomic
progress. The path to national growth is education. It instils a sense of accountability in people.
People's understanding of their obligations and knowledge of how to exercise their individual,
societal, and national rights are both based on their level of education. One of education's
objectives is to empower people by raising their general awareness of their rights and
responsibilities.)
The path to national growth is education. It instils a sense of accountability in people. People's
understanding of their obligations and knowledge of how to exercise their individual, societal,
and national rights are both based on their level of education. One of education's objectives is to
empower people by raising their level of awareness of their role as citizens of the world on a
national and international scale. This insight fosters a culture of trust and collaboration in
society. Education encourages economic growth, which leads to people being rich and playing
their various parts in the general development of the country. Pakistan is a nation in
development.
In Pakistan, the issue of literacy exists. However, when discussing education, we should discuss
more than just the funding levels; we should also discuss the outcomes. Since Punjab has a huge
population, it routinely spends more on education than other states. Punjab spent 40% less per
capital than Baluchistan did in 2018. One explanation is that the two nations are in various
phases of development. With assistance from the World Bank, Punjab has taken the lead in
Pakistan's effort to modernize its educational system since 2003. The outcomes of these reforms
in Punjab, the state with the highest rates of literacy, are encouraging. Pakistan lacks a middle
class, while Vietnam is currently experiencing a shortage of higher education spaces. Similar to
Pakistan, there is intense competition for university campuses due to the population expansion.
Most students only attend public universities in 15% of cases. These problems stand in contrast
to Pakistan, where 7% of students attend private and state universities combined. Vocational and
preparatory colleges are included in universities in addition to colleges.
According to Iqbal (1981), the educational system in Pakistan is not founded on a single set of
guiding principles. In the nation, several educational systems are active at once. Additionally, the
curriculum is not uniform, which has led to the emergence of numerous schools of thought. For
instance, there are vast differences. Between the mindsets of graduates from Deeni Madaris and a
select few private elite universities, as well as graduates from public educational institutions. The
rate of polarization in society has accelerated due to this trend. Zaki (1989) asserts that this is the
outcome of Pakistan's polarizing educational system. This system has greatly polarized the
country and even waded deeply into its cultural foundations.
The logical outcomes of this fragmented educational system are the latest surge of terrorism and
the growing sectarian rift. Instead of promoting unity among the people, the current polarised
educational system has caused a great social division on political, social, and economic grounds.
This social division is tearing the ideological and social foundation of the country to shreds and
is paving the way for further divisions on linguistic and regional grounds, which could
potentially harm the social fabric and cohesion of the society. The purpose of monitoring is to
expose teachers' flaws or inadequacies and to treat them harshly. The purpose of observation is to
identify teachers' flaws or weaknesses and punish them severely by sending them to faraway
locations or perhaps dismissing them from their position. The process of teaching and learning
could be enhanced by the use of efficient supervision strategies. The oversight system for
schools lacks direction. In addition to the lack of monitoring in schools, the supervision process
itself does not benefit instructors or students by transferring them to remote locations or even
terminating their employment. Monitoring of teaching and learning is what is meant by
supervision.
To conclude persons are developed by education in many areas of life, including social, moral,
spiritual, political, and economic. Every nation may attain its broad national goals thanks to this
dynamic energy. It is well known that nations with developed sound educational systems also
have sound social and political systems. They are politically and economically independent and
developed, and they value their liberties. Pakistan's educational system has not been able to
adequately contribute to nation-building. This element has aided in the escalation of social
discontent in Pakistan. Due to Pakistan's flawed educational system, which has utterly failed to
raise the country on solid economic, social, political, and moral foundations, the next generation
lacks direction. Degree holders that lack high order life skills like introspection, critical thinking,
analysis, investigation, and creativity are being produced by the directionless educational system.
Instead, the educational system has concentrated on providing students with out-of-date
knowledge and information that is less applicable to the rapidly changing world around them. To
stop education from slipping, we must avoid character education.
