She has four 3 and lots of really sharp 4 !
2 Sally has got a beautiful parrot. The 5 on its 6 are blue and yellow and its 7
feathers are red. I love to watch it crack seeds with its 8 .
3 Dragons aren’t real, but they sound scary! They have big wings, sharp 9 in their mouths, 10
on their heads and 11 covering their bodies, just like fish.
The world of animals is really fascinating, particularly when you learn about their senses. Did you know that
squirrels use their noses to 1taste/sniff out food that they have buried under the ground? They can even
2
locate/vibrate nuts that are under a layer of snow!
Did you know that bats use echolocation to 3emit/navigate in the dark? They 4hunt/emit sound waves from their
nose or mouth and when the waves hit an object, the echo bounces back and returns to the bat’s ears.
Did you know that a spider 5detects/sniffs vibrations from the strands on its web to 6navigate/hunt its prey?
It uses the same technique to 7locate/emit holes in the web that need repairing!
