I. OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:

b. Differentiate the types of multimodal text

III. PROCEDURE

A.Lesson proper

Multimodal text are often live digital or proper waste it requires the processing of more
than one method and recognition of the interconnections between information

Paper-based multimodal text are conveyed to the reader through varying combination
of reading language and still images

EXAMPLE:

• Infograpics- is a collection of images chart and data to present a quick and clear
information

• Graphic texts- present information and data with the use of words in diagrams and
drawings

• Posters- is a large printed picture or a not is that is used for advertising or decoration

• Comics- is a medium of narration using images combined with text

• Picture- is an image or drawing that represent a certain topic

Digital multimodal text are presented through dynamic combination of various models
across written and spoken language, still and moving in visual images, audio, gesture,
and spatial communicative resources
Example:

• Films- is a form of storytelling using a series of moving images shown on the screen,
usually with sounds

• Animation- is a method of storytelling using figures that are manipulated to appear as


a series of moving images

• Slideshows- is a presentation that is based on a series of projected images are


photographic slides

• Posters - or electronic poster is a digital presentation of a study and can be accessed


through the use use of software

• Digital stories- is a multimedia presentation of non related structure containing a


variety of digital elements.

Live multimodal text are shown two combination of different modes such as gestural
and spatial audio and oral language

Example:

• Dance- expression of an idea or emotion through the use of body movement in


rhythmic way accompanied by music.

• Oral presentation- the delivery of an idea and front of a public audience

Direction: Identify the five semiotic system

2. Color, vectors, and viewpoint in still and moving images

4. Movement, facial expression and body language. Other term for this is kinesthetic
