I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of this learning session, the students should be able to:

2. distinguish the function of flowers
3. draw a flower and label its parts

STRATEGIES
A. Motivation The teacher will ask questions;
 What is your favourite flower?
 Why did you chose that as your favourite flower? Is it because of the
color? Is it because of the smell?
 Did you know that a flower has certain parts?
 What parts of a flower do you know?
B. Presentation of the The teacher will now present the lesson for today, which is the “Parts of a
Lesson Flower” and discuss the parts one-by-one.
After which, the discussion of the functions of a flower.
C. Generalization The teacher will ask somebody from the class to sum up the discussed
lesson.
D. Application The teacher will let the students label the parts of a flower pasted in the
board by choosing in the selections below.

IV. EVALUATION
The teacher will let the students draw their favourite flower and label its
parts.
V. ASSIGNMENT
The teacher will now give a homework.

Direction: Answer the following questions in 3-5 sentences each.

1. Why do you like/dislike flowers?


2. What can flowers be used for?
3. Why are flowers important?
