Application and
Reflection
Instruction /s 1. Give atleast 5 expectations in this course and how it can help you improve yourself.
2. All reflections must be personal. Copied or copy from websites will get a 70.
Refllect on the following:
1. To build up my self-confidence
2. To gain personal improvement from this course
3. How to be a responsible nursing student
There are a lot of expectations in this course. One of those is that nursing is not an
easy course. It would drain you physically, emotionally, and also mentally. This course is
expensive, from books to other school materials that are needed. A heap of school work,
weekly quizzes, and reporting in every subject. I expected that you could not do what you
used to do because you must study for an examination. You will realize that you must choose
between rest or sleep because the nursing course is tiring.
To gain personal improvement from this course I should not procrastinate. I have to
balance my time in school and other things. Learn how to communicate effectively because
communication in nursing is one of the aspects needed to maintain the interaction between
the patient and nurse.
To be a responsible nursing student, we should set in our mind that nursing is not a
job, it is a responsibility. We are responsible for taking care of our patients. We must
understand every lesson and how to apply it in real-life situations. Lastly, to be a responsible
nursing student, you must set aside your emotions, especially when you are already a nurse.

Reflect on the following
1. Choose 1 philosophy which you can apply to yourself based on expperiences.
The philosophy of Richins and Dawson states that when you are not confident about
yourself, you tend to rely on materials to boost your self-esteem. In my case, I am not that

person use objects to compensate for their low self-esteem.

compare at how others look at you through characteristics.
They see me as someone pure and innocent, but to be honest, I have lots of
thoughts going inside of my head. I always noticed every small things. I don’t particularly
appreciate socializing, but my friends help me to socialize. I am the type of person who acts
immature sometimes, but I know I am mature enough. And I really don’t care about what
other people say about me as long as I am happy and not hurting anyone.

Instruction /s What are the things that you mostly buy and write a reflection on why you prefer these
things?
What do you think are these things telling you about and what kind of satisfaction do you
get?
I mostly buy things that I can use or like, such as crochet tools. I bought a set of those
tools because I tried to make crochet, and it was entertaining doing crochet. It also helps me
to relax. Sometimes, I buy books because I find the story interesting. Ultimately, I prefer
buying things I can use daily or something I really want to try.
I think it tells how I want to try new things every time I find it amusing, and I am thrilled
about it every time I try new things.

Answer the following:
1. How do your pictures remind your sense of Filipinism?
2. Are you proud of being a Filipino, why or why not?
3. Is it true that young people nowadays have lost their sense of nationalism? Justify
your answer.
I don't think it is true that young people have lost their sense of nationalism. As a
part of my youth, I witnessed young people fight for the country's future during the
campaign election. It shows how they care for the nation, and nationalism is about
caring about the nation.
