UHV Activity (project) aims to reinforce Right Understanding. With this clarity you can select projects and
activities from the given topics. These activities aimed at motivating students to look at various issues present
in the society from a natural acceptance point of view and understanding that human beings can live with the
rest of nature in a mutually fulfilling manner.
Important Instructions:
● The activity is to be completed with an understanding of natural acceptance discussed during the
UHV course delivery.
● Minor changes in the project report can be made according to the project topic prior discussion
with the course teacher.
● Other topics can be taken for a project only after prior discussion with the course teacher.
● Report should be of two pages (A4 only), and handwritten. All the statements must be clearly
expressed
● Student’s own perspective should be exhibited while discussing the project topic. ● The rubrics
shared for the activity are to be kept in mind.

For Report – 10 marks
Activity 1 Vegetation
● Find out the plants and shrubs growing in and around your campus/home/locality. Find out their use
for curing different diseases. Reason for the depletion of such plants in the last few years.
● Choose any current problems of the society and suggest how they can be solved on the basis of natural
acceptance of human values. Suggest steps you will take in present conditions.
● Finding out how much water is available (rain, rivers, canals) in your area, how much water is needed
and suggest possible sustainable solutions to avoid depletion of water resource
● Collect data about power (electricity) requirements and its generation from low-head flowing-water,
i.e. without making any dams. Explore the positive and negative effects of power generation on
society & nature?
● Identify any technological innovation and explore its effect on each level such as individual, family,
society and nature. Identify the reason for adverse effects if any. Present sustainable solutions to the
problems in society and nature
Program:
CO1: Develop more awareness of their surroundings, society, social problems and their sustainable solutions, while keeping human
relationships and human nature in mind.
CO2: Develop better critical ability by developing the right understanding of reality.
CO3: Understand and become sensitive to their commitment towards what they believe in (humane values. human relationships and
human society).
