III. ESSAY

1. Why is farm record keeping important in Swine Production? 10pts

It provides a clear image of the operations so that the degree of success may be determined
precisely. Assist in financial and managerial oversight. They're used to evaluate a farm's strengths
and limitations, as well as to plan future actions. Records show a pig farmer what has been
accomplished. They provide useful data for decision-making in order to boost your farm's
productivity and profitability. They are useful in health initiatives such as treatment monitoring and
vaccination. Farming is a business, and keeping good farm records helps the farmer plan and
forecast realistically. Keeping track of which methods work is quite beneficial. From prior year's
expenditures and sales records, the farmer may better estimate price changes in inputs and product.
