CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
Modern technology not long ago, daily life was dominated by burdensome, time-
consuming chores that left little time for anything else. People usually worked from home
or within walking distance of their dwellings, and only traveled a short distance away.
People were restricted to their physical capabilities. As new technology emerged, all of
this changed radically. Convenience, efficiency, and accessibility are three ways that
advancements. Everyday living has been improved, from the alarm clock in the morning
to the entertainment center at night. The automatic coffee maker makes coffee at a
computers run at the touch of a button. Washing machines and dryers, dishwashers, air
conditioners, and motorized lawn mowers provide convenience at home. Some argue
that the conveniences are not worth the extra money and effort required to maintain
these devices operational, but the majority of people choose to utilize them. With several
Technology has enhanced our lives not only in terms of ease, but also in terms of
efficiency. The time saved by machines handling the majority of the job allows humans
to focus on their personal goals or simply relax. Years ago, when doing laundry could
take a whole day, there was no time to read, go to school, or even go for a leisurely
walk.
On the other hand, some would say that people waste their extra spare time by
lazing around and watching TV. While some people have health issues as a result of
technology, lives are vastly enhanced. Thanks to the efficiency of modern technology,
people now have more time and energy than ever to simply enjoy their life and achieve
their ambitions.

voice commands has made using computers more accessible for school or work. People
with special needs now have many new options thanks to modern technology, such as
special chairs or text readers. In fact, many who use hearing aids as a result of normal
aging now have access to continuing communication and entertainment that they did not
previously have. There are numerous ways that technology has benefited lives through
expanded accessibility.

The Pangasinan Baptist Church Management System would only focus on the main
information of the members' profiles, accomplishments, and activities that can be useful
and important to the church's main objectives, which are: the staff/worker weekly report
that records Christian services such as how many bible studies per barangay, souls won
count, bible tracks distributed, kids' extension bible class, and all their names.

To be sure, there is no church growth without baptism. However, baptism alone does not

growth refers to how many people have accepted to become persons within this

2021)- This paper reviews recent articles related to human trust in automation to guide
research and design for increasingly capable automation in complex work environments.
Much study has gone towards calibrating human trust in order to encourage appropriate
capable automation and system-level outcomes like collaboration and resilience. We use
responsiveness, not to increase or even calibrate trust. This frame illustrates why future
research on automation trust should address not only individual traits and how
automation affects individuals, but also how people can impact automation and how

factors such as the high receptibility of its message on the continent. The amount of
membership that the church holds in Africa has corresponding implication on the volume
of records that its clergy and other record managers’ process. However, there are
concerns about the dependability of some of these records and how they impact the
global church statistics and decisions. The reliability of church records could be
influenced by the perceptions and certain challenges of the records creators and
managers. Therefore, this paper, using an empirical research method, investigated the
perceptions and challenges of church records management among pastors of the church
on the continent. The return rate of the survey was 56.22 percent. The study found that

SYNTHESIS
Online health diagnosis has already been developed from previous studies and it aims to
diagnose patient’s health problems based on the data provided by the patients and prescribes
diagnostic engine, artificial neural networks, and artificial intelligence to diagnose a patient.
Hence, the data and information that are needed in the development of the proposed system
shows similarity from the studies stated above. These includes collection of various diseases
with their medical information and various symptoms that manifest to a certain illness/disease.
The studies also depicted various user requirements and system requirements that could be
implemented in the proposed system. The significant functional requirements are the following:
E-Consultation. In this feature, the system will offer online consultation between the user and
to the participating health professionals through chat and video call where the user can directly
acquire medical advice from different specializations of doctors. Users can provide the result of
the diagnosis to the session of consultation that will allow the medical practitioner to validate
Report Generation. In this feature, the recipient of the system can generate various reports
according to their needs such as filtering of most selected symptoms based on gender and age
of the user and generating the most diagnosed health problem in a specified time that will help
Usability. The proposed system will be at ease of use where the users can easily access
Reliability. The proposed system will be functional and provides accessible links. It will
display accurate information and error messages will prompt once the system detects failure or
errors.

To guide the researchers in the development of the system, RAD methodology will be used
for fast development and implementation of the proposed system. To measure the usability of
the system, the researchers will use SUMI Questionnaires to assess the quality of the software
product or prototype usage that helps determine flaws in terms of the product’s usability.
Conceptual Framework
Figure 1.1 illustrates the existing process in monitoring child growth and
malnutrition, problems that were encountered in the current system, the functional
requirements of the stakeholders which all serve as inputs for the development of the
system.
Research and observation about the existing process of monitoring child growth
and malnutrition was conducted. To better understand the system requirements,
interviews were conducted. These inputs were essential factors in the generation of the
system’s specifications.
These inputs were transformed to its expected output, using the rapid application
development methodology that comprises requirement planning, analysis and design,
construction, and implementation phases. The result was the Child Growth and
Malnutrition Monitoring System. To have a better overview about the methodology used
in the developed system, please refer to Figure 3.1.

METHODOLOGY
This chapter gives an outline of study methods that the proponents followed in the
study. It also presents the research design, population and sample of the study,

Hence, Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology is used for the development
The primary advantage of RAD was the increased speed of software development
and increased quality. The speed increase could be achieved using a variety of methods
including rapid prototyping, the use of CASE tools, and other techniques. RAD took

This study should have facts with appropriate results and findings. Thus, we used descriptive
new meaning, describing what exists, describing the frequency with which something occurs,
and categorizing information. In other words, the descriptive research attempts to describe,
explain and interpret conditions of the present. The purpose of a descriptive research is to
examine a phenomenon that is occurring at a specific place(s) and time. A descriptive research

For Objective No.1, the researchers will use a structured interview as the first step in
collecting the data and information needed in the development of the system. The
interview will focus on understanding the procedures for diagnosing a patient's health
problem and determining the various symptoms they validated to come up with the
diagnosis.
