Subject : Jurisdictional Rationalization of reorganization of

CPWD -Proposal for partial redistribution of CSS/CSSS/CSCS posts in
CPWD outside New Delhi in newly shifted units– reg

This is regarding S&D Unit’s OM no. 10/10/2022-S&D/172 dated

17.08.2022 (Pg. 102/c ) on the cited subject, wherein it has been apprised
that there will be state-wise non-overlapping geographical jurisdiction of
SDGs and ADGs. The region wise jurisdiction system has been done away
with the introduction of state-wise jurisdiction of ADGs/SDGs and
organization structure has been revised after re-arranging the units as per
geographical jurisdiction. Consequently, the following has been decided inter-
alia:

1. Post of ADG (Region Mumbai) shifted as ADG (Region Jammu).

2. Post of ADG (Region Chennai) shifted as ADG (Kochi).
3. Post of ADG (Region Kolkata) shifted as ADG (Patna).
4. ADG (Patna) and ADG (Kochi) will continue to work from Kolkata and
Chennai respectively till further orders.
5. The co-ordination unit will continue to remain with SDGs.

2 . The existing office wise position of CSS, CSSS and CSCS cadre in
CPWD (before jurisdictional rationalization of re-organisation of CPWD) is as
follows:

as per M o H UA OM No.A-32015/2/2019-Admn./IV dated 22.07.2020 and
DoPT OM No.12/2/2019-CS.II(B) dated 12.02.2019.

3. As a result of the shifting of regions and change in jurisdictional area

of different ADGs and SDGs, the posts of CSS, CSSS & CSCS sanctioned in
the ADG (Region Mumbai), ADG (Region Chennai) and ADG (Region
Kolkata) have become surplus. Also posts sanctioned in various Chief
Engineer offices located outside Delhi have to be redistributed due to the
rearrangement of the units under different ADGs/SDGs as per geographical
jurisdiction. All these posts have to be redistributed to different ADGs/SDGs
resulting from the jurisdictional rationalization of re-organisation of CPWD.

4. In view of the above, a consolidated proposal for redistribution of

posts of CSS/CSCS/CSSS cadre in CPWD is attempted as below for perusal
and consideration:

5. In the above proposal, there has been no change in total sanctioned

strength of posts of CSS/CSSS/CSCS cadre as issued by S&D unit vide OM
no. 10/10/2019-S&D/429 dated 22.10.2019 & OM no. 10/10/2019-S&D/550
dated 27.11.2019, except for the posts of SSA and JSA for which strength
has been reduced to 10 posts and 26 posts in pursuance of Ministry of
Housing & Urban Affairs OM no. A-32015/2/2019-Admn.IV dated 22.07.2020
and Office Order no. A-11019/1/2005-Admn.IV dated 09.10.2015.
