I. INTRODUCTION
Education is a systematic process through which a child or an adult acquires
knowledge, experience, skill and sound attitude. It makes an individual civilized,
refined, cultured and educated. Educators play a big role of the whole development
of a child. It requires full understanding of theories and techniques and other
philosophical approach which best to apply.
Philosophy makes a central contribution to the educational enterprise through
its demands upon intellectual activity. Education in philosophy involves becoming
aware of major figures and developments in the history of philosophy, learning up-to-
date techniques and accepted answers to philosophical questions, and learning
critical, interpretive, and evaluative skills that, in the overall scheme of things, may
be considered to be of greatest value.According to Wikipedia Learning theory
describes how students receive, process, and retain knowledge during learning.
Cognitive, emotional, and environmental influences, as well as prior experience, all
play a part in how understanding, or a world view, is acquired or changed and
knowledge and skills retained.
Education is the process of learning that can take place anywhere and at any
time. I believe that creativity and activity as well as books and lessons are essential to
the learning process. As a teacher, I hope to instill in the children a sense of
knowledge and self-worth that will remain with them throughout their lives. Education
is important not only to maintain daily life, but also to become someone who
contributes to society. Without education people have no chance to impact the lives of
others in their own community. Teachers can create specific strategies and
techniques to apply these learning theories in their classrooms. Teachers need to
first focus on getting a well-rounded education to learn about all kinds of techniques
for teaching and classroom management. Teachers need to understand learning
theories to be prepared to utilize them in their classrooms.
An understanding of learning theories helps teachers connect to all different
kinds of students. Teachers can focus on different learning styles to reach different
students, creating teaching that focuses directly on student needs and
aptitudes. Through the study of Philosophy of Education educators can be able to
learn and apply the different theory that could be best help in the success of our
institution.

PRESENTATION OF MY REPORT
SUMMARY OF REPORT
There are five main educational learning theories that educators can utilize to
help them enhance their classrooms and make them better learning environments
for all students. Here are the three of those educational learning theories:
Idealism is a very old philosophical thought and it has exercised a potent
influence on the mind of man throughout the ages. Even in modern times when
people are not inclined towards accepting any dogmatic creed or philosophy,
idealism has certain attractions which appeal to the human mind and thereby
exercise a great influence on human thinking. In education the influence of idealism
has gone a long way to restrict some of the radical thinking and establish the worth
of the eternal ideals and values of life. The word idealism is derived from two distinct
sources-the idea and the ideal. Idea means true and testified knowledge. The word
ideal stands for the perfected form of an idea or ideas. An idealist does not have
considerations for material values of life. A thinker who idolizes ‘Mind and Self’ is an
idealist. Idealism is one of the oldest schools of philosophy.
Idealism may be considered to be outmoded in the prevailing scientific world
view. Idealistic concepts like ‘spirit’, ‘mind’, ‘soul’, and ‘the cosmos’ have little
relevance in the class-room teaching. There is too much emphasis on good manners
and modesty which may be mistaken. It neglects child’s psychological nature.
Idealism does not contribute to methods of teaching. It sets unobtainable goals.
Idealistic scheme of education, by and large, pays attention to physical, industrial,
social and electronic environment of today. It neglects social aspects of life. It over
emphasizes humanity and under rates science and technology. In all, we can say
that idealistic approach to education has its own merits and shortcomings. It should,
therefore, be supplemented by other philosophy or philosophies of education.
Progressivism is a pedagogical movement that began in the late nineteenth
century and has persisted in various forms to the present. In Europe, progressive
education took the form of the New Education Movement. The term progressive was
engaged to distinguish this education from the traditional curricula of the 19th
century, which was rooted in classical preparation for the university and strongly
differentiated by social class. By contrast, progressive education finds its roots in
modern experience.-Wikipedia
CONCLUSION
I stand for No two students are alike, and the way every person learns will
vary. Our brains are all unique, and our experiences all contribute to the different
ways we learn. An understanding of learning theories will helps teachers connect to
all different kinds of students. Teachers can focus on different learning styles to
reach different students, creating teaching that focuses directly on student needs
and aptitudes.
We teachers and aspiring teachers need to be educated to be prepared for
teaching students every day, and an important part of teacher education is
understanding different ways of learning. There are many solidified learning theories
that teachers can learn from as they prepare to help students in the classroom.
Teachers who understand learning theories can use different techniques in their
classrooms to cater to different kinds of learning. This can help all students find
success in learning.
