INTRODUCTION

One of the primary goals of earning a degree in higher education is to secure a job when you
graduate. The internship experience will help you develop a realistic picture of hospitality and
tourism industries, apply your knowledge based in the classroom in the practical fields, and
improve your competency in the job market.

Upon graduation, students aspire to obtain a management role in the hospitality industry. You
must be able to direct and lead employees working in hourly and supervisory positions in a
hospitality company. Having work experience will allow you to learn what these jobs entail and
what skills are needed to perform them. You will also learn about the day-to-day operations of a
hospitality company, how it is organized and managed, daily work issues, financial
considerations.

Employers will seek to hire students with significant work experience to become managers for
their companies. Internships will strengthen your skill set and help you develop your problem
solving and leadership skills- just what recruiters are looking for. The more experience you have
the stronger a candidate you will be.

With so many choices of jobs in the hospitality industry, internship will also help you decide
what segment of the industry is right for you.

Internships help you understand information presented. In the classroom and let you apply what
you have learned in a real-world setting. Both are needed to be a successful manager in the
hospitality industry.

Internships will also provide you with connections for future advancement opportunities as your
career evolves.

Written Report (Writing Assignment Guidelines)

1.) I've been taking Virtual Training with the Hospitality Institute of America-Philippines, Inc.

Since 2015, the Hospitality Institute of America-Philippines (HIAP) has been registered with the

Securities and Exchange Commission as the first foreign training center along the University

Belt. Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Technical Educational Skills

Development Authority (TESDA), and the Department of Education (DepEd) are all trusted

partners of the Hospitality Institute of America- Philippines. When it comes to e-learning

programs and hands-on training that assist students improve their skills and proficiency, the

agency is well-known. HIAP is a program that provides further training based on acceptable

global standards, promotes employability in a global setting, and prepares the Filipino worker for

a demanding future in various industries. The Face to Face Internship/Trainee Program and the

Study Program are also available. They also have a parent firm, such as the United States of

America's J1 Internship and Trainee Programs, Canada's Coop-Internship Program providing a

road to permanent residency, and Australia's trainee and study programs.

2.) F&B Management Intermediate, F&B Management Essentials, F&B ROI Improvement,

Essential Public Health: COVID-19(Restaurant), Bar and Beverage Management, and F&B

Service Professional are the employment classifications offered by HIAP. This type of training

allows us to meet new people, gain new skills, and improve our professionalism. We are all

aware that we are experiencing difficulties as a result of the pandemic; hospitality management is

one of the COVID-19 victims, thus our management ensures that we can work or train by

following health standards.

3.) I spent my internship at home, sitting and answering all of the precise questions that were

asked, as well as listening to all of the learning routes that can aid you in your future professional

development.

4.) Mr. Aaron Dale Black, our very own CEO/Owner of the Company, Ma'am Mary Jean De

Guzman, our training session supervisor, who reminds us on how we do in our learning sessions,

and Ma'am Joy Destriza, our session speaker, who also reminds us on how we do it and what

new information we should know.

5.) My responsibilities include learning all of the learning paths that they have assigned to me,

watching and understanding the films in the same way that you would if you were serving,

preparing, and performing other chores in a hotel. Every learning path has its own set of

responsibilities that you must learn and perform in the future, such as how to be positive about

yourself while working, how to serve guests without frowning in front of them, learn the history

of various beverages, how to make drinks mixed with liquors, and how to avoid a pandemic

while staying at our establishment.

6.) One of my experiences throughout the internship was that there were too many new things to

learn about, and I was afraid to ask questions during the sessions, but that fear has subsided, and

I've also discovered different lifestyles.

7.) Mr. Aaron, I saw, is the type of business owner that values his employees, the difficulties he

faced during conditions that led to a successful life, and how he helps other people realize their

aspirations. Our supervisor, Ma'am Mary Jean, is continually reminding us of the tasks that need

to be completed.

8.) The Internship Experience that I have learned is to balance work and personal activities in

order to better control yourself in the future, to be confident in everything, even if you have a

low self-esteem, to never show your bad attitude in front of your guests, to always be polite

when it comes to older guests and guests with disabilities, and to be accommodating in front of

the guests.

9.) During my virtual internship learnings, I learned how to be nice, how to turn difficult tasks

into easy tasks, and how to manage and control my emotions and attitude in front of guests.

10.) Because I was determined and self-sufficient, I was able to complete and satisfy all of my

learning pathways. I've received a lot of knowledge that will help me improve my skills in the

future when I work in the hotel sector.

11.) Include a certificate of completion from your virtual training.
