Ask the following questions:

2. How do you learn something through inquiry or research?
3. Why is inquiry a scientific way of thinking?
4. Was there any instance in your life when you too, did a sort of inquiry or research? Explain
your point.

C. ABSTRACTION
1. Discuss the importance of research in our daily life.

Ask the following questions:


1. What is the importance of research to you?
2. What are the benefits of inquiry-based learning?
3. How does research help you in day-to-day activities?
4. As part of the IP Community, what is the importance of research to you tradition, culture and
beliefs?

D. APPLICATION
Activity
Directions: Give the students opportunities to demonstrate their understanding of the importance of
research in daily life by conducting a survey/interview of 20 students asking them the importance
of research in their daily life. This can be done through a collaborative work. In addition, ask them to
look for examples of research in different areas of interest (arts, humanities, sports, science,
information and communication technology and social inquiry) then ask them to present the
importance of the research they have found in their daily activities.

EVALUATION
Create an essay about the importance of research in daily life. .
ASSIGMENT/AGREEMENT
View the YouTube clips entitled Bottle Arcade Word’s Deepest Bin and Piano Stats. Discuss the
relevance of these clips to students undertaking their research projects.
