DETAILED LESSON PLAN

IN MATHEMATICS I

I. Objectives: at the end of the lesson the pupils should be able to:
a. visualize one-half of a whole
b. divide a whole into halves
c. identify one-half of a whole
d. read and write one-half in symbol and word

II. Subject Matter:


a. Topic: One-half of a whole
b. Reference: K to 12
c. Materials: Cut-out Pictures, Real Objects.

III. Procedure:

Class, like what we did yesterday, I have
here again pictures of objects.

This afternoon we are going to discuss the

Ronald has one apple for his recess, he
wants to share one-half of the apple to
Beth. How would Ronald divide the
apple?
(the teacher will show to the children
how to divide the apple and show the
sliced apple)

This part of the apple is called one-


half and this part is also one-half of the
apple, if we put them together, it will
become one-whole.
