CONTENT STANDARD
The learner demonstrates understanding of lifestyle and weight management to
promote community fitness.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD
The learner maintains active lifestyle to influence the physical activity participation of
the community practices, healthy eating habits that’s support an active lifestyle.
I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to;
1. Identify the Two Classification of Movements (Locomotor and Non-locomotor
Skills);
2. Appreciate the value of Festival Dances using the Classification of
Movements, and
3. Create Festival Dance using the Two Classifications of Movements.

B. Statement of the Objectives
The teacher state the objectives for today’s lesson.
C. Recall
The teacher will show pictures and you have to identify whether it is a
RELIGIOUS or NON-RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS. Recall your Philippine History
about the different festivals from different regions in the country.

D. Motivation
The teacher will show a video clip of a festival dance. (Bangus
Festival)

1. What do you observe from the video you have watched?
2. What can you tell about the dance?

1. The teacher will discuss the meaning of non-locomotor and
identify some examples of non-locomotor movements.
F. Practice Exercise
To check if you have gained knowledge on the lesson discussed, do the activity
entitled “ACTION LOUDER THAN WORDS”, the mechanics are the following:

G. Generalization
Is there any dance form or lifestyle movement that does not have
locomotor and/or non-locomotor movement as its base? Why? Because
locomotor/non-locomotor movements cement the foundation for all motion,
these two categories are great ways to access choreography for dancers with
a variety of abilities. They are also a beginning point for someone who wants
to create a choreography and doesn’t know where to start.
H. Valuing Inclusivity
How will you apply our lesson on your real life situation? May
kasabihan nga sa Filipino na ang buhay ay parang isang sayaw, matuto tayong
magsimula sa pinakapayak na kilos o galaw upang makasabay ng agos ng buhay.
So get busy using locomotor and non-locomotor movement as you design your
choreography dance.
IV. Evaluation
Multiple Choice: Choose only the letter of the correct answer and write it in
the corresponding number in your paper.
V. Assignment
Create your own Festival dance performance by formulating indigenous
dance steps using locomotor and non-locomotor movements is familiar in your
community. here are the guidelines in your performance tasks:
1. The steps is in indigenous free-hand movement as long as the locomotor and
non-locomotor is applied
2. Use your mobile phone or any gadgets for recording.
3. Time limit will be a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 3 minutes.
4. Use any dance concept/theme that represents your localized culture or
product.
5. You can use indigenous materials as your costume.
6. Any music maybe used, either canned or live music as long as it connects
with your dance routine.
7. Submission will be announced.
8. Output will be submitted to the google drive by section, link will be posted on
our section chat room.
