Marico Ltd was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra,


India. The company is a multinational consumer good company and operates the
areas of health, beauty, and wellness. Marico is one of the leading companies in the
field of consumer goods and its products are used by every one in three Indian.

It has been a fruitful financial year for Marico as the
company registered a total revenue of Rs. 8,048 Cr in
FY20-21 and demonstrated 10% growth in revenue and 11% growth in profit in the FY 20-21. The
operating margin (before corporate allocations) for the India business was healthy at 21.3% in FY21
vs 22.4% in FY20. Marico saw an improvement in profitability amidst input cost environment. While
the economic scenario is unprecedented and continues to be unpredictable in the near term due to
COVID-19, Marico was able to contain the impact given that about 85% of company’s product
portfolio comprises daily-use items.

Over the last 5 years, company has performed well as Marico’s net profit increased by 45.4% and
revenue from operations increased by 35.57% in FY 21 when compared to FY 17. Furthermore, the
company announced the 1st quarter result of FY2021-22 in July 2021. Marico’s net sales for Apr-Jun
quarter stood at Rs 2525 Cr and net profit stood at Rs 365 Cr which showed 25% and 50% Q-o-Q
growth respectively
