Marico Limited is one of India's leading consumer products companies operating in the beauty
and wellness space.

Currently present in 25 countries across emerging markets of Asia and Africa, Marico has
nurtured multiple brands in the categories of hair care, skin care, edible oils, health foods, male
grooming, and fabric care

Marico's India business markets household brands such as Parachute, Parachute Advansed,
Saffola, Hair & Care, Nihar, Nihar Naturals, Livon, Set Wet, Mediker and Revive among others
that add value to the life of 1 in every 3 Indians.

The International business offers unique brands such as Parachute, HairCode, Fiance, Caivil,
Hercules, Black Chic, Code 10, Ingwe, X-Men and Thuan Phat that are localized to fulfil the
lifestyle needs of our international consumers.

In the Financial Year 2015 2016 the annual turnover of Marico reached to Rs. 61 billion.

PERFORMANCE

The consolidated profit after tax of Marico has grown by 12% in FY17 as compared to last year.
The operating margin for the India business was at 24%.
DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

Indirect Reach: Not organized and managed by firm

Marico has a very strong presence in India and has ~ 3.6 million Outlets out of ~9 million outlets
in India.

Direct Reach: Advertisements through which organized and managed by the firm itself

Over 850,000 outlets across India are owned by Marico.

Channel Split: Modern Trade has outpaced the other channels, but E-commerce is still small
with a strong growth potential.
CHANNEL SHARE OF BUSINESS

General trade channel sale quite match with traditional sale strategy where no any modernization
is done constitutes 80% of Maricos business.

Modern Trade consists of supermarkets and hypermarkets that retail Fast Moving Consumer
Goods , also known as organized retail constitutes, 11% of Marico business.

Canteen Stores Department contributes 9% of Maricos business
