Job Purpose:
Reporting directly to the Record to Report Manager, this position has responsibility for
managing strategic markets within the company and will be expected to liaise with senior
regional and global stakeholders to ensure both efficient operations and ongoing process
improvements. The position has the primary responsibility to ensure monthly, quarterly and
year-end financial reporting is timely and accurate and in compliance with company policies
and US GAAP.
This position leads a team of associates (all direct reports) being General and Reporting
Accountants, Fixed Asset Accountants and Factory Accountants. The incumbent is involved
with continuous improvement activities which further improve financial processes and
controls and is responsible for the ongoing management and development of subordinates
reporting to this role.
Main Responsibilities:

 Lead, mentor and monitor delivery of month end management account results to
management within the agreed timeframe and in the required format
 Manage the accurate and timely delivery for specific country/group of countries of
general accounting and reporting (excluding intercompany accounting) tasks and
perform general accounting activities (i.e. journal postings, GL maintenance, report
preparation, reconciliations, closing activities, etc.) in accordance SLAs
 Manage the closing process in accordance with closing timetable and SLA's
 Manage and coordinate the reconciliation of the respective accounts to ensure they
balance and that any discrepancies or variations are investigated and corrected
 Provide relevant advice and information to staff across the SSC and its customers as
and when required
 Regularly track and resolve outstanding general accounting and reporting issues that
have been escalated, or further escalate to the necessary parties
 Act as primary contact for local organization in terms of coordination and servicing
 Ensure relevant business process controls and processes are documented and tested in
compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and that no un-remediated control gaps exist
 Manage and coordinate the audit process, working close to Internal and External Audit
teams
 Support RtR Manager in implementing best practices for RtR process and proactively
identify, propose and implement continuous improvement opportunities in existing
processes within the team
 Support and mentor their peer Team Leads and drive other improvement and community
initiatives within the Global Business Services Center
 Carry out people management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s
policies and applicable laws, including:
o Plan, assign and direct work
o Hire and develop associates by transferring knowledge of operations, financial
concepts and business issues
o Provide feedback and coaching to team members
o Provide opportunities for learning and self-development, and facilitate the
development of technical competencies
o Continuously strive to build a culture of high-performance
 Manage the collection, analysis and presentation of strategic financial information to
business units. Provide strategic analysis and business support to GBS management.
Manage the ongoing operational analysis and prepare appropriate recommendations
and reports for GBS Management

To Join Our Team, You Will Need:


 Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
 Accounting Professional Accreditation (desired)
 5-7 years of progressively more responsible experience in general and/or financial
accounting, with minimum 4 years in a supervisor role
 Fluency in English, both written and spoken
 Previous experience in SAP ERP systems
 Experience of managing strategic markets within a multinational company
 Ability to view complex/conflicting data, identify problems and propose
solutions/alternatives
 Detailed knowledge of accounting process & solid financial analysis
 Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX
 Strong communication skills
 Demonstrate excellent interpersonal analytical skills
 Ability to create productive business environment for associates by providing
opportunities to demonstrate/develop their skill sets
 Ability to effectively utilize performance management to optimize associate contribution
 Ability to comprehend and communicate financial information to various audiences
 Ability to function in a team environment as a member and a leader
 Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
