My Shakespeare
My Shakespeare is a website resources for all things Shakespeare. On the website
you can find media-rich, full text editions of Shakespeare’s plays, interviews with
characters, scenes from plays, animated videos, complete audio recordings,
contemporary translations, notebook study tools, multiple choice questions and
guides. Teachers and students can interact with all of the content. All you need is
to make a free account and you are ready to go toe to toe with the bard!
TeacherTube
Teachertube is a site that allows teachers to upload or watch lessons for every
grade level. You can rate and comment on the videos, creating a safe and easy
environment for educators or home learners. It is as easy as creating a free
account and clicking a grade and subject to start. There is also a paid option that
removes ads for $9.99 monthly.
Wheel of Names
Wheel of names is exactly what it sounds like. Make choosing a student to collect
chairs or be line leader easy and fun with this colorful wheel. Simply type in your
entries in the textbox to the right of the wheel, then click the wheel to spin it and get a
random winner. To make the wheel your own by customizing the colors, sounds, and
spin time. The wheel will shoot confetti and cheer when a student is chosen and the
kids can be assured that the choices are random. And its free to use!
Edmodo
Edmodo is here to help you connect easily with your students and parents! This
free site allows parents and kids alike to get quick answers to their questions as
well as updates and clarification on assignments. This site is made to be the
social media of schooling and is free to use, just make an account!
Baamboozle!
Baamboozle is a quick, free, and easy-to-use tool for playing and creating games.
It doesn't require registration to play. Choose the "Play games" link to go to all
games saved on Baamboozle. Scroll through to view games, or search for a term.
Divide the group into two teams and begin play. Each team chooses a number
from the game board and answers the question. Baamboozle keeps track of
scores. Use games found on the site, or create games on any device. Registration
with email is necessary to create your own games. Great for review days and
keeping kids engaged while they drill!
Lalilo
Great for younger students (kinder through 2nd) and ELL students, this site helps
with literacy and phonics skills! This is a free resource that makes reading
literacy an adventure as kids gage their level with a initial placement test then
work through the in game “worlds”.
Artsonia
Artsonia gives student artists a platform to showcase and share their work! This
free to use site allows parents and grandparents to view their kids art from all
over the world and leave comments. They even choose an artist of the week to
showcase. The coolest part of this site is that families can buy merchandise with
their kids art on it with 20% of the proceeds going to fund schools art programs!
