Standard Achievement Admission Test (SAAT)
■ Nature of SAAT:
SAAT is an admission test that covers four basic subject areas: Biology,
Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. SAAT focuses on the material of the
official 3-year (scientific) curriculum of the Saudi High Schools. The items
on the SAAT are distributed as follows:
20% of each subject for the first year of the high school syllabus and 40% of
each subject for the second and third years of the high school syllabus.
■ Components of SAAT:
A SAAT test consists of 130 items in 5 sections. Some of the items included
are non-scorable trial items Each section is given 30 minutes. The total time
of the test, including the time given to instructions, is 3 hours.
