Semi- Detailed Lesson Plan

Technology and Livelihood Education in Grade 11

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
a. identify the needed ingredients, types of sandwiches and learn the proper
procedure in preparing a Sandwich.
b. prepare and present the procedure of preparing a Sandwich.
c. value the proper way of preparing a Sandwich by expressing their dedication
through their work.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Preparing Sandwiches
Reference: TLE Book
Materials: Kitchen Outfits, Kitchen Utensils, Ingredients, Visual Aids, Picture.

III. Learning Activities.


A. Preparatory Activity

d. Checking of Attendance

2. Motivation
Mystery Box
The teacher will call 6 students to guess the actual item inside the box.
Based on the activity, the students think and guess the topic for the day.

Guide Questions:
1. What makes a sandwich a sandwich?
2. What do you put on a sandwich?
3. How do you make a sandwich?
4. What are the needed kitchen outfits?
5. What is the importance of wearing “kitchen outfits?

B. Presentation
Sandwich is a food typically consisting of vegetables, sliced cheese or meat,
placed on or between slices of bread, or a dish with two or more pieces of bread
serve as a container or wrapper for another food type.

 Lettuce
 Tomato
 Ham/Bacon
 Cheese
 Mayonnaise
 Cucumber
Types of Sandwiches
 Cold Sandwiches
 Hot Sandwiches

C. Application.
Group Activity: The class will be divided into 3
groups; each group will present their output differently based on the styles of
their learning. The students’ needs to demonstrate and present their topic/tasks
that is related with the discussion.

The Teacher will add some tip/techniques in preparing a Sandwich, through
picture/ video presentation or Power Point Presentation (if the projector is
available)
