B.
MY OWN PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy is “Train a child to be equipped in facing the challenges of life, develop his/her
knowledge and skills”. I believe that every student is different with an individual way of learning
and their own set of needs and gifts that are brought to the classroom. It is my responsibility as
a teacher to expound on their gifts and provide an environment that will foster maximum
learning and meet each child’s individual needs. I believe that to learn inside the classroom
must be a place where the student feels secure and comfortable. They need to know that the
teacher cares about them. It is my responsibility as a teacher to provide such an atmosphere.
An atmosphere where no matter the student they feel at home and like they have ownership.
The teacher is not just the mentor inside the classroom giving lectures, explaining theories and
concepts. A teacher is someone whose heart and soul are developed in shaping a child.
Teaching is a challenging and a joy. To be a good teacher you must love teaching. It is a great
joy and privilege to impact the lives of children in these ways.
