#RyanInnovators from Ryan International School,Malad ICSE gathered to celebrate ‘ATL Community
Day’.The Guest of honour was Shyamal Das , a former Chief Engineer (Process Design) & Former Raja
Ramanna Fellow, NRB, BARC.

With a vision to 'Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators', Atal Innovation Mission,
established Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) in schools across India.
Ryan International School Malad ICSE, which is fortunate to have one of its own ATLs, celebrated the ATL
Community Day with joy and enthusiasm.
The ‘Mentor of Change’ of Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) and the author of Amazon’s Best Seller Book
“Reimagine High Value Sales”, Mr. Shakti Leekha was a part of this virtual celebration, who not only
encouraged the children to transform their dreams into reality but also motivated them to strive for a thriving
country.

#Ryanites from Ryan Malad ,Ryan Christian School ,Ryan Global School and #Cambrians from Cambridge
School ,Kandivali learned about various programming and designing platforms like TinkerCad and Scratch. It
was a very interactive and informative session wherein the students were able to acquire scientific knowledge
and motivation to contribute in the progress of the nation atal tinkering labthrough science and technology

Stem Challenge 2019

Our curious young minds recently got a unique opportunity to experience the universe like never
before. #Ryanites from Ryan International School, Malad-ICSE participated in 'STEM Challenge
2019' where they got hands-on experience on various transportation options that can be used in space.

Sarvesh Bhardwaj, Astrophysicist, SDRO - Astronomy Professionals, briefed students about various
#space vehicles and how they move in space. Our #Ryanites also made their own space vehicles.
Balloon powered Nano Rover Challenge, Elastic powered Moon Rover Challenge, and Elastic
powered Airplane challenge were just some of the activities that they enjoyed the most.

STEM Challenge 2019 workshop was designed to infuse the knowledge of how different vehicles
move in the space. Students made those vehicles on their own. Students were trained with all the
necessary basic knowledge and all the necessary material to execute the challenge . Balloon Power
Nano Rover Challenge ,Elastic powered Moon Rover Challenge and Elastic Powered Airplane
Challenge were the challenges which students enjoyed

Today's Day 2nd October 2019 , will be marked as the International day of Non Violence towards
Environment.Students of Ryan International School Malad ICSE has vowed to be the Flag Bearer of this
Revolution .

Our Chairman Sir Dr.A.F.Pinto has given us many visions, helping to build a clean and sustainable
environment being one of them. The students of Ryan International School, Malad ICSE,being firm believers
of his visions, took part in the Solar Ambassador Workshop. The workshop was on the day that marked the
150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. To pay him tribute, the students pledged towards being the non
violent protectors of nature.

Students were given hands-on training to assemble their own solar study lamp The students learned about the
principles of solar energy and its need in creating a healthier environment.
The students and the parents accompanying them, were in a state of awe as they witness their self assembled
solar lamp lit up in front of them at dusk.

"The Science of Today is the technology of tomorrow !!"

On 18th February 2020, #Ryanites of 7th and 8th Std got the stupendous opportunity to be a part of the Atal
Tinkering Lab (ATL) in the aegis of Ryan International School wherein we performed an activity based on
electromagnetism.
The main motto was to make young #innovators aware of the complex yet interesting idea of
electromagnetism. The project was basically based on the creation of a dynamo and the concept of how
electromagnet can be used in many different types of electrical applications.
It was truly an amazing experience and a memorable one.

National Science Day

The Indian constitution states that

"It shall be the duty of every citizen of India to develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of
inquiry and reform."
With due respect to Indian constitution and to inculcate the spirit of scientific temper in the future citizens of
India #Ryanites celebrated National Science Day on 24th February 2020
To commemorate the discovery of the Raman effect and to applaud the Nobel Prize laureate and physicist Sir
C. V Raman , a special assembly themed on the importance of science was conducted followed by a science
exhibition by the ATL Team members
The highlight of the special assembly was the Interactive session with Mr. Hemant Gupta , Mechanical
Engineer specializing in Robotics w include a humanoid blind stick with GPS and F1
The National Science Day celebration signified the message of the imperativeness of science In the lives of
every human being.

Karo Sambhav E-Waste Awareness Program

Electronic waste or e-waste is one of the emerging problems in developed and developing countries
worldwide. It comprises of a multitude of components with valuable materials, some containing toxic
substances that can have an adverse impact on human health and the environment.

We have been getting ready to recycle more e-waste by investing in infrastructure, providing grants to local
government and working with industry. The basic idea of the #KaroSambhav E-Waste Awareness Program
was to minimize e-waste dust from workplaces by using good house-keeping practice.

#Ryanites were asked to bring e-waste from the IT sector and Corporate World for the Collection Drive and
were taught how to dissipate and dismantle the wastes and also enlightened about the minute elements of the
wastes and how to reuse them. #Ryanites were also taught to concentrate on the 4 Rs, of Reduce, Reuse and
Recycle with an addition of Replace. These were the megalithic endeavors of the Ryan Faculties specifically
the #ATL Team

ATL Student Innovator Awards

The Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) in the aegis of Ryan International School, Malad, is a workspace where
students can acquire innovative skills through hands-on learning, with tools and equipment that enable the
students to learn multiple STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) concepts.
#RyanInnovators consistently strives all year round, to explore research and use all the tools, to uncover
something new, to translate an idea into a project that would address certain leading environmental issues.
To motivate these young tinkerers and to commemorate their different ways of looking at problems and
solving them, Atal Innovation Mission and NITI Aayog along with Ryan International School, Malad Atal
Tinkering Lab took the privilege of recognizing their efforts by felicitating them with the
#ATLStudentInnovator Awards and badges. This is an effort to encourage many other young tinkerers and
innovators in the making, to enhance their creativity and leadership skills, and to utilize their ingenious talent
to develop projects in the present and for our future.

Another feather in the ATL cap!
Ryan International School, Malad-ICSE has been named 'Star ATL' in the whole of Mumbai City by Atal
Innovation Mission. The school is one of the Top Performing Schools for maintaining the MyATL dashboard
with ultimate precision and performing a regular submission of innovative stories for the ATL Wall Of Fame.
#RyanInternationalSchool, Malad (ICSE) has bagged the first position in Mumbai and third position in
Maharashtra. The School Of the Month 2019 is a challenge for all ATLs, where schools are required to submit
innovative solutions on selected problems statements to AIM, NITI Aayog. AIM has been setting up thousands
of #AtalTinkeringLabs where young innovators get access to resources and learn about the 21st-century
technologies.

attended the Atal Tinkering workshop by Karan Chaphekar ,Product Development and Manger Operations
,Grey Sim . #Ryanites were given an overview of the Arduino lcd module & finger print lock .

#Ryanites were given an overview of the 3D printer and its step-by-step operation and safety precautions.

our brilliant-minded Ryanites of Team Eco-Bot on ranking among the Top 150 #ATLTeams in India in the
#ATLMarathon2019. While the #competition was held in 2019, results for the same were announced recently.
Abhinav Jha, Vidhi Morzaria and Dhruv Singh of Ryan International School, Malad-ICSE - Team Eco-Bot
created a project like no other. It aimed at reducing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, which is a major
constituent of the #greenhouse gases causing #globalwarming.

of the Month’ for May 2020, for the fifth time in Maharashtra.

Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog has been setting up thousands of #AtalTinkeringLabs where young
innovators get a chance to get access to resources and learn about the 21st-century technologies.
Amongst the various innovative projects our #Ryanite developed, they also included, AGRONE - a drone
designed for farming process, ECO-SUB - to help free oceans from plastic, COVID ENFORCER - to identify

Abhinav Jha's project, 'Eco-Bot', bagged the Finalist prize in Space Kidz India's Young
Scientist India 2021. Young Scientist India is an innovation competition to promote
science awareness among students and enhance their understanding of science.
The #Ryanite represented Ryan International School, Malad-ICSE and won a trophy, a
certificate, a t-shirt and a visit to the BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus.
