About College
About Northern College Toronto Campus:
• Northern College has established collaboration with Pures College of Technology in order to provide high-
quality education and exemplary services to overseas students in Toronto. Students enrolled in Northern
College programs at the Pures Toronto location receive full credit from Northern College, and are granted
a Northern College diploma upon meeting their graduation requirements.
• Students taking a Northern College program at Pures have the opportunity to acquire a high-quality
education along with practical skills enhancement. At the same time, staff and faculty provide a warm and
welcoming environment for international students, offering excellent student services to ensure that
students have a great learning experience. By living in Toronto, international students are able to access
significant employment opportunities and community support services.

designated by CIC (Canadian Immigration Citizenship) as a learning Institute for Overseas students. In
order to provide high quality education to international students, Pures College and the Northern College
of Applied Arts and Technology has established a partnership in Toronto.

• Students whose first language is not English are expected to prove English proficiency by completing one
of the following:
• IELTS: 6.0, no individual band under 6.0
• PTE Require 58+ Diploma & 60+ for PG

5. For new students, we request minimum payment of $15,509 to register, payment within 20 days of the
letter issue date, applies to all five programs.
Important Note: -
If the student has studied in Canada, the student must provide proof of the study (enrolment letter) as
well as the transcripts at the time of the application. If it is later-on discovered that the student had
withheld previous studies in Canada at the time of the application, which would impact the fairness of our
decision making, acceptance will be revoked without any discussion.

Payments: If paying by Wire Transfer, please note your bank, the intermediary bank (if applicable), and the
College’s bank each charge a fee to process your payment. It is the responsibility of each student to ensure that
the Application fee, Tuition and Fees are paid in full by the dates specified in their offer letter.
Visa Denial
To be considered for a refund due to a visa denial, please contact the International Office by e-mail before the
start of the term or offering of registration with a copy of the visa denial letter issued by a Canadian Embassy
or Consulate for that specific term or offering. A refund of tuition and fees will be assessed minus a $500
administration fee and a $50 wire transfer fee which is charged by our bank for the wire transfer refund.
Alternatively, the registration may be deferred to the next available offering; only one deferral will be allowed.
Requests received after the start of a term or offering due to visa denial will be assessed a refund according to
the date of withdrawal and subject to Northern College’s regular Refund Policy. A copy of the visa denial letter
issued by a Canadian Embassy or Consulate for that specific term or offering must be presented. Please note
that any deferral student is not untitled of withdrawal/refund upon arrival.
It is the responsibility of the student to contact the International Office before the start of the term or offering
of registration if there is a delay in obtaining a study permit. Students who begin their studies at Northern
College without a valid study permit will be removed from classes and will be assessed a refund according to
their date of withdrawal. A copy of the visa denial letter issued by a Canadian Embassy or Consulate for the
specific term or offering is required at all times

If for any reason an international student is unable to attend at Northern College at Pures – Toronto for their
scheduled program, they must contact the International Office by e-mail at [email protected] before the
start of the term or offering of registration explaining why they cannot attend.

College Withdrawal
An international student can apply for withdrawal within 10 days of the term start. A withdrawal would not be
granted after the 10th day. The international student must request the withdrawal request in-person at the
study location indicated on the letter of acceptance. We don’t accept telephone appointment regarding any
withdrawal request in order to verify the identity of the student and ensure the privacy of student is
protected.
Refunds will be issued in the same method of payment as the original payment. If transferring to another
institution, refunds will be processed only if attending an approved Designated Learning SPP Institute for the
same semester as accepted to attend at Northern College. In order to process the refund, a valid letter of
acceptance and semester fee receipt from the other institution indicating start date of studies, copy of passport
and valid study permits must be submitted at time of withdrawal application in-person.
Students who withdraw and return home must submit the withdrawal application documents including, copy
of passport and valid study permit, flight ticket and re-entry stamp upon return to the home county.
Students who defer their admission to the next intake forgo the right to receive a refund in the next intake.
The prepayment of first semester tuition will remain with the College.
A non-refundable fee $1859.96 will be withheld for all students who request a refund except in cases of Visa
Denials where an admin fee of $500 will apply and you must follow the college’s published withdrawal policy.
Note: In case of Visa refusal and/or withdrawal, a student must have to bear the difference
amount while getting refund money from college due to dollar rate fluctuation. It will be less
approximately Rs. 50,000 to 60,000/-
