1. Scope:-
 UG Sump, STP Storm Water Sump and Collection Tank Waterproofing Treatment @
Basement -03

UG Sump,STP,Storm Water Sump and Collection Tank

UG Sump,STP,Storm water sump and collection tank waterproofing works Preparing the surface to remove loose
mortars and dust which may prevent adhesion of coating.Coving/Haunching at all the slab and wall junction using
cement sand mortar mixed with integral waterproofing compound Rheomac 707 @ 100ml/bag of cement. Ponding test
to find out weak points and leak points,and pressure grouting the weak points using cement slurry admixed with non
shrink grout.Providing and applying acrylic cementitious elastomeric coating Masterseal 550 EL having elongation
upto 40% in submerged condition at 1mm thickness in two coats over the prepared surface. The rate quoted to include
material, labour, scaffolding, tools and tackles, lead and lift.
Cement -0.015 bags/sqm
Mode of measurement-Surface area (Floor+wall)
Providing & Laying 50mm thick M20 RMC grade screed concrete - and gradient as shown in drawing, admixed with
waterproofing compound, dosage as per manufacture specification. The rate quoted to include material, labour,
compaction, vibration, levelling, finishing, scaffolding, tools and tackles, lead and lift complete as per specification and
directions of Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and applying 15mm thick plastering using cement sand mortar admixed with integral waterproofing
compound. The rate quoted to include material, labour, scaffolding, tools and tackles, lead and lift.
Rheomac 707 @100ml per bag of cement @ ratio of 1:4.

surface preference:-
A. Surface preference: -
The surface shall be prepared thoroughly by chipping all loose material/ dead mortar,
cleaned with wire brush and coir brush in order to remove all loose & deleterious
matter, dust etc.
B. UG Sump,STP,Storm Water Sump and Collection Tank At all Slab Joints Hunching

Hunching 75mm*75mm at all the slab and wall junction using cement sand mortar mixed
with integral waterproofing compound Rheomac 707 @ 100ml/bag of cement.
6.01. Construction joints & honeycomb treatment:-

1. All the cracks and construction joints shall be treated with groove after making a 50mm*
25mm (depth) U-groove at the joints.
2. After making the U-groove at the joints the same shall be coated with Ratio of (1:5:15:1)
(SBR latex -02. + Cement+ M-sand) is added as per 500ml/ bags of cement coating along
with the nozzle (1m c/c) at all construction joints & cracks locations.
3. Fixed nozzle to be Pressure grouted with (225kg / Bags) Cement Slurry and CEBEX 100
by using 40-psi hand pump.
4. Curing has to be done for 3 days.

5. After curing completion Surface shall be made wet by using a moist water sprayer.
7 . 1STand 2nd coat application procedure:-
1. Mixed material must be used within 30 to 45 minutes

2. Apply master seal 550 EL with brush, on the damped substrate. When the first layer (0.5)
sufficiently cured, after that apply the second coat. This period between 8 to 12 hours,
Application period between each layer must be less than 6 hours.
3. After the first coat has dried, apply second coat in perpendicular directions.
4. The area to be tested with water ponding to the height of coating for a period of 24hours. If
any leakages found shall be marked and pressure grouting to be done with fixing PVC
nipples and grouting to be done using cement slurry mixed with non-shrink admixture
fosroc Cebex-100 or equivalent.
5. After grouting again ponding test shall be done to ensure leakage was arrested, if any
leakage again found the same procedure shall be follow until the leakage get arrested.

6. Curing will be ensuring for 3 days.
7.01. Concrete work:-
• Providing protective concrete of M20 Grade Screed concrete thickness of 50mm for floor
with waterproof admixture BASF Masterpel 777 (As a guide, a dosage range of 100 ml to
200 ml per 50kg bag of cementitious material is recommended ) or equivalent material
approved by client engineer .
7.02. Plastering Work:-

• 15 mm thick plastering shall be done (Wall Area) with 1:4 CM with integral waterproofing
chemical Rhemac 707 at 100ml per bag of cement .
