PERFORMANCE STANDARDS The learner leads fitness events with proficiency and confidence resulting in independent pursuit and in influencing others
positively.

At the end of the lesson, the leaners will be able to:


1. Identify the different Yoga Kneeling Poses;

2. Influence others on the effect of Yoga to one’s health; and
3. Perform the Yoga Kneeling Poses.

The teacher:
1. Presents and clarifies the topic’s learning objectives;
2. Checks if the students are wearing proper PE uniform;
and
3. Checks if the students have yoga mats.

REVIEW AND The teacher:


MOTIVATION 1. Reviews the history of Yoga; and
(10 minutes) 2. Asks the students to demonstrate the Yoga Warm-up
Poses.

The students demonstrate the Yoga Warm-up Poses.

INSTRUCTION The teacher:
DELIVERY 1. Discusses each Kneeling Pose;
(30 minutes) 2. Explains the instructions of each pose;
3. Demonstrates the Kneeling Poses; and
4. Observes students’ execution.

The students:
1. Follow the teacher’s execution; and
2. Observe proper posture.

PRACTICE
(10 minutes) The teacher divides the class into 3 breakout rooms. Together
with their group, the students will practice the proper execution
of the following Kneeling Poses:

ENRICHMENT The teacher:


1. Posts the presentation and class recording in the
LMS; and
2. Instructs the students to review and practice the
Kneeling Poses.

EVALUATION/ASSIGNM Instructional Yoga Video:


ENT Each student is tasked to create a fitness instructional
video. The video will cover the Kneeling Poses. The
following are the guidelines for video making:

1. The background should be plain white;
2. The performer should wear complete PE uniform;
3. The performer should use yoga mat;
4. No other stuff should be seen on the video except
the performer and the yoga mat;
5. Narrations should be pre-recorded; and
6. Use the name of the routine as a subtitle displayed
all throughout each routine.
