    RESOLUTION NO. ___, S-2018

    A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RECONSTITUTION OF THE BARANGAY


    HELATH BOARD OF BARANGAY POBLACION, SOMINOT, ZAMBOANGA DEL
    SUR.

    WHEREAS, the Barangay Health Board is a specioa body created by virtue of Republic Act
    No. 7160 whose main duty is to guarantee equitable, sustainable and quality health for all,
    especially the poor;

    NOW THEREFORE, I DANILO L. DAMAS, Barangay Chairman of Barangay Poblacion,


    Sominot, Zamboanga del Sur, by virtue of the powers vested in me, by law, do hereby order
    that the Barangay Health Board (BHB) be reconstituted.
    SECTION 1. Composition: The Barangay Health Board (BHB) shall be composed of the
    following:

    Chairman - Hon. Danilo L. Damas


    Barangay Chairman

    Vice Chairman – Emma B. Acabo


    Rural Health Midwife

    Members - Danilo A. Gaco


    Chairman on Committee on Health

    Jhazeel Balatero
    Representative, Department of Health
    Nurse Deployment Project

    Sherylaan J. Monterola
    Chair. Barangay Health Worker

    Leah Luz Arnoco


    Barangay Nutrition Scholar

    4ps Parent Leader

    Gina Omboy
    DepEd Representative

    SECTION 2. Power and functions. The barangay Health Board shall;

    a.)Propose to the Barangay Council, in accordance with the standards and criteria set
    by the Department of Health (DOH), annual budgetary allocation for the operation and
    services in the barangay.

    b.) Serve as an advisory committee to the Barangay Council on Health matters such
    as, but no limited to, the necessity for, and application of local appropriations for public
    health and purposes;

    c.) Propose to the chairman the undertaking of programs and projects in support of
    the overall health thrust of the national government.
    SECTION 3. Meetings and Quorum:

    a.) The Barangay Health Board shall meet at least once in every three months or as
    often as may be necessary.

    b.) A majority of the members of the Board shall constitute a quorum, but the
    chairman or the committee on Health must be present during meetings where budgetary
    proposals are being prepare or considered. The affirmative vote of a majority of the members
    shall be necessary to approve such proposals.

    SECTION 4. Compensation and Remuneration

    a.)The Chairman, Committee on Health and members of the Barangay Health Board
    shall perform their duties as such without compensation or remuneration.

    SECTION 5. Repealing Clause.

    a.) All other order, issuances and memoranda issued inconsistently herewith are
    hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

    SECTION 6. Effectivity This resolution shall take effect immediately.

    NOW THEREFORE, in motion of Hon. Danilo A. Gaco II and seconded by all Council
    member present.

    RESOLVED FURTHER, a copy of this resolution be furnished all agencies concerned for
    information.

    UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED this __ day of __________2018, regular session of Barangay


    Poblacion, Sominot Zamboanga del Sur.
