To Whom It May Concern,

It is with great pleasure that I write this recommendation for Pruehalliwel Martin who has been a student of
mine at North Park University in Chicago. I was recently assigned to supervise Pruehalliwel during her student teaching
practicum at William Howard Taft High School in Chicago, Illinois. In this setting, Pruehalliwel was assigned to teach
English to different levels of high school students. Since I observed several lessons, I can account that Pruehalliwel has
demonstrated that she is a natural born teacher who presents her lessons in such a motivating and enthusiastic manner
that the students are eager to learn and fully participate in class work, discussions, and activities. Pruehalliwel also
demonstrated solid knowledge in the content area, pedagogy, along with technological expertise which she so creatively
applied to her lessons. She implemented teaching approaches that were sensitive to different learning and performance
styles. While showing a great deal of understanding and compassion for diverse learners, she easily adapted and
modified the curriculum and instruction to their individual needs. She was also very effective at classroom management
and was always very aware and in control of what was going on in the classroom, during her observations. Observing
Pruehalliwel’s classes was truly enjoyable and rewarding. She knows how to make learning a positive and exciting
experience. There was never a dull moment in any of her classes as Pruehalliwel is constantly on stage when teaching,
enlightening, and engaging all her students.
I must also comment on Pruehalliwel’s very pleasant personality and outlook. She is a very mature, friendly,
energetic, and positive minded young lady. She follows through on all her responsibilities and is well liked and respected
by both colleagues and faculty in our university. Pruehalliwel has also demonstrated extraordinary leadership skills
throughout the years in both the academic arena and in her community, especially in raising over $7000 in scholarships
and then in facilitating a reading clinic in Zambia. Pruehalliwel's enthusiasm and love for teaching and learning, enhance
the environment in which she teaches and participates. Pruehalliwel consistently demonstrates very strong study habits.
She has a drive to learn and is truly a life-long learner. She is also a very conscientious and committed student teacher
who strives at accomplishing her endeavors, always going above and beyond. Her cooperating teacher could only say
the best about her experience at Taft High School.
I am very confident that no matter where Pruehalliwel is assigned to teach, she will continue to enlighten her
students, through her many fine attributes that make her an outstanding teacher. I am also very confident that
Pruehalliwel will prove that her exceptional qualities are indeed the exact requirements that are needed in any
academic setting. Should you need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Dr. Angelyn Balodimas-Bartolomei
