BUSINESS DESCRIPTION

History - The business was formed in 2015 under the creative and arts industry, between Mr.
Mukukura and Mr. Wayne Shoko, though the latter later left to pursue other opportunities. The
firm used to sell personalized stickers at first and button badges because the production cost was
low. But later the portfolio was diversified but this proved to be a problem. Assets available are
an HP Printer, 3rd generation Acer laptop, three flash drives and a terabyte hard drive. Ink
managed to exploit the ZITF 2018 to gain exposure and do market study.

Ink Designs is a company that offers creative design and printing solutions. It deals with event
management, set design, publications design, seminars, workshops and implementation of design
concepts. The firm will strive to offer design solutions that will be affordable to the average
citizen. The company will commence its operations on the 3rd of September 2018 under its
legally registered name INK.

Ink Designs will be printing and designing prints for the following individuals, organizations and
companies: adverts, business cards, greeting and wedding cards, billboards, t-shirts and caps,
logos, placards, exhibition stands among a wide array of other items. The firm will at a later
stage venture into technological aspects of web design and development, software design and
development and UI and UX design

Ink will produce its own advertisements and market its services by placing the adverts in
newspapers and magazines, the internet (websites and blogs), flyers, televisions, billboards and
clothing items. Creating a good network with the local business community and conducting
workshops and seminars will be an advantage to the company for it will assist in promoting our
products and services. A company website is of great importance for it functions as an online
reception.

 Creativity and Uniqueness

 Reliability and Convenience
 Brilliance

convenient to the average person, but still achieving the same good quality products and services.

Mission Statement – Think.Create.Live

Swot Analysis

Strengths - The employees have educational qualifications and experience in marketing and
sales. The managers have exceptional human skills and technical skills that enable them to
execute their duties effectively and efficiently. Team work is abundant in the company, this
ensures overall efficiency of service delivery due to the sharing of ideas.

Weaknesses - Scanty resources and assets such as the furniture, computers, printing machines
(heating press, vinyl cutter and) and vehicles to use for errands. Establishment of the brand in
the market is pivotal but grim considering that they are already big names in the market.

Opportunities – Ability to adapt to ever-changing trends is one of the factors that is going to
be influential in the growth of the organization. Employees are equipped with knowledge of
information technology and design aspects. Technological advances will be one of our
opportunities. All the stuff is youthful and energetic.

Threats – A lot of competition with already established firms. Skeptism by consumers. Ever-
changing tastes can make it hard to keep up. External or internal sabotage from various
stakeholders. Unconducive economic and legislative policies put in place by the government.
