BATTLE OF THE BRAINS

Description: Capitol University is known for its quality education. Students are trained to become
“Total Person”. This competition shall be termed as Battle of the Brains (Squid Game Inspired)
wherein only one student would remain standing after 4 rounds of elimination and will be
beckoned as the winner.
GUIDELINES
1. All participants should be bona fide students of Capitol University.
2. Each contestants must register by sending their full name, course and year/grade via Google
form (link). A link will be provided.
3. Registration period will be on October 15 - 21, 2021.
4. Each department must have 2 (two) representatives.
5. The contestants must bring bond papers and a marker. This is where they will write their
answer after the host read each question.
6. All of the contestants must have a good internet connection.
7. The questions shall come from the following topics:
- About Capitol University
- General Education
- Current Events
8. In case there will be a tie, another 3 questions will be given.
9. Clarifications regarding the rules of the competition shall be entertained by the programme
committee before the contest start.
10. There will be 4 (four) rounds with different categories. Round 1, 2, 3 and the Final Round.
11. The battle will happen via Google Meet and Google Live stream. The link will be given to the
respective student presidents of each departments.

MECHANICS
1. Round 1 will have 15 questions and only the top fifteen (15) contestants with the highest
scores will proceed to the next round. In case of a tie, clincher questions will be asked in order
to break the tie. The participants will be given 10 seconds to answer each question.
2. Round 2 will have 20 questions and only the top ten (10) contestants with the highest score
will proceed to the next round. In case of a tie, clincher questions will be asked in order to break
the tie. The participants will be given 15 seconds to answer each question.
3. Round 3 will have 5 questions and only the top three (3) with the highest scores will proceed
to the final round. In case of a tie, clincher questions will be asked in order to break the tie. The
participants will be given 15 seconds to answer each question.
4. Lastly, the Final round. In this round, 10 questions will be asked to the remaining contestants.
The contestant with the highest score will win the game. Participants will be given 15 seconds to
answer each questions.
RULES WHILE IN GAME

 The contestants must not unmute their mic unless instructed by the host.
 The contestants are not allowed to turn their cameras off. Once caught, 5 points
deduction will be given. This is to prevent cheating from happening.
 Coaching is prohibited. Once caught, 10 points deduction will be given.
 The contestant must wait for the host’s signal before showing their answers.
 Late answers will not be accepted. Automatic zero points for that certain question.

POINT SYTEM

Round 1 5 points each.


Round 2 10 points each.
Round 3 15 points each.
Final Round 20 points each.
