    Intercultural Education

    It is a response to classroom diversity aiming to go beyond passive coexistence, to achieve a developing


    and sustainable way of living together in multicultural societies through the creation of understanding
    of, respect for and a productive dialogue between the different groups.

    Applying it to Classroom:

    First Impression

    Four pictures cards of pictures and emotions

    The students will describe the emotions being portrayed in the picture

    Ask them why they thought of that

    Ask question sush as:

    How are they the same as you?

    How are they different to you?

    Would you like to be friends with them?

    Realization from students:

    They have more in common with others than having differences.

    Lessons objective met:

    Understanding that we are all different and its normal.

    Imporance from the lesson:

    It enables the students to gain an understanding about first impression. So that they
    don’t allow themselves to develop negative feelings in attitude towards other children.
