Step 5 Confirmation of Communication with the KV-5000/3000

Use the "Trace · Monitor" in PROTOCOL STUDIO to monitor communications between

the KV-5000/3000 and the LK-G3000.

1 From the Unit Monitor, click the "OK" button to display the Editor of KV STUDIO.

2 Register the device comments for the KV-L20V.

3 From the menu bar of KV STUDIO, select "Monitor/Simulator(N)" -> "Transfer to PLC ->
Monitoring Mode(C)" to change to Monitoring Mode.
Switch the KV-5000/3000 to RUN mode.

4 Display the "Batch Monitor" window and double-click the current value of R32600 (PORT 1
operation enabled) to turn it "ON".

Double-click the current value.

● Change it to ON.

5 Double-click the current value of R32000 (PORT 1 macro enabled) to turn it "ON".

Double-click the current value.

● Change it to ON.

9

6 Display the "PROTOCOL STUDIO TRACE" window.

From the menu bar in the "PROTOCOL STUDIO TRACE" window, select "Trace (T)" ->
"Start tracing (S)" to trace/monitor the KV-5000.

Example display of PROTOCOL STUDIO TRACE

7 Confirm from the "Batch Monitor" window in KV STUDIO.

From the Monitoring Mode of KV STUDIO, select "Monitor/Simulator(N)" ->
"Batch Monitor(K)" to confirm measured values.

Example display of the Batch Monitor window

Measured values are stored in DM10102 ~ DM10105 as "signed 32-bit binary data".
(Measured values are stored in DM10105 ~ DM10106 as "signed 32-bit binary data"
when the LS-7000 Series is used.)

TIP

Transformation of measured values (LK-G3000 Series)

Measured values are calculated with "DM10102/DM10104".
In the above example, DM10102= - 9874,
DM10104=10000, then the measured value is
- 9874 / 10000= - 0.9874mm
