1. List three advantages of following sustainable work practices in the workplace.
Ans: -
1. Businesses are motivated to introduce sustainable work practices for two main
reasons – recycling and conserving resources leads to workplace efficiencies and
brings cost advantages in the form of reduced energy bills and office supplies
expenses. However, there are many advantages to adopting sustainable work
practices.
2. Consumer awareness of sustainability has increased significantly. More and more
consumers are demanding businesses incorporate sustainable and ethical work
practices and remain loyal to companies that do so.
3. Promoting sustainability in an organization can also increase innovation. When
processes are redesigned to reduce wastage or lower power consumption, this can
lead to improvements in other areas. For example, sustainable work practices can
make processes more efficient, which can enhance workplace safety and increase
staff productivity.
4. Use the internet to research the environmental legislation, Regulations and codes of practice
that your workplace or RTO must comply with. List one piece of legislation, one Regulation
and one code of practice below.

made through efficient resource use. Some organisations
have procedures to ensure that lights are used
efficiently, and computers are shut down at the end of
the day.

National and international standards: - They provide benchmarks and best practices for
organisations wishing to improve their processes in a way that is consistent throughout the
country or the world. Standards are developed by experts with extensive knowledge in their
respective subjects and industries. They offer a unified framework that can ensure all
organisations are able to meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders effectively.
