SURAH KAHF

َٰ ْ ‫ﱠ ﱠ‬
‫ﱠ‬ ِ ‫ِﺑ ْﺴ ِﻢ‬
 ‫ اﻟﺮﺣﻤ ِﻦ اﻟﺮ ِﺣ ِﻴﻢ‬/‫ا‬
َ َ َ ٓ ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ﱠ‬ ُْ َ ْ
has‫أﻧﺰل‬the One َ َ Who‫ٱﻟ ِﺬى‬isَ ٰfor Allah/All ِ ِ Praise‫ٱﻟﺤﻤ َﺪ‬
َ ْ َ ْ َ ْ َ ٰ َ
1 has‫ﻳﺠﻌﻞ‬and not‫وﻟﻢ‬,the Book‫ٱﻟ ِﻜﺘـﺐ‬His slave‫ﻋ ْﺒ ِﺪ ِه‬toI ‫ﻋ‬revealed
َۜ َ ُ‫ﱠ‬
.any crookedness‫ﻋﻮﺟﺎ‬in ِ it‫ﻟﻪۥ‬made
َْ ‫ﱢ‬ ً ‫َﻗ ﱢﻴ‬
of a‫ﺑﺄﺳﺎ‬to warn‫ﻨﺬ ﱠ َر‬
ً ُ ‫ﻟ‬,Straight‫ﺎ‬
‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﻤ‬
َ ‫ﱢ‬W َ ُ َ ُُْ ِ ‫ﱢ‬ ً َ
and give gladX‫وﻳﺒ‬,near Him‫ﻟﺪﻧﻪ‬from‫ﻣﻦ‬,severe‫ا‬ ‫ﺷ ِﺪﻳﺪ‬punishment
َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ [ ُْْ
those‫ٱﻟ ِﺬﻳﻦ‬,to َ the believers]\ ‫ٱﻟﻤﺆ ِﻣ ِﻨ‬tidings
ً َ َ ً ْ َ ‫َﱠ‬

ْ ُ ٰ َ ٰ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َُ َْ
is a‫أﺟﺮا ﺣﺴﻨﺎ‬for them‫ﻟﻬﻢ‬that‫أن‬,righteous deeds‫ٱﻟﺼـ ِﻠﺤـ ِﺖ‬do‫ﻳﻌﻤﻠﻮن‬who
.good reward
ً ََ َ[ ‫ﱠﻣٰـﻜﺜ‬
3 .forever‫أﺑﺪا‬in it‫ﻴﻪ‬ ِ ‫ﻓ‬They
ِ will abide] \ِ ِ
ًََ ُ ‫ٱﺗ َﺨ َﺬ ﱠ‬,say‫ﱠ‬ ْ ُ َ َ ‫ٱﻟﺬ‬And ‫ﱠ‬ َُ

a‫وﻟﺪا‬Allah has taken"/‫ٱ‬ ‫ﻗﺎﻟﻮا‬those who‫ﻳﻦ‬ ِ to warn‫ﻨﺬ َر‬
ِ ‫وﻳ‬
".son
ْ ََٓ ََ ْ ْ ُ َ ‫ﱠ‬
theirۚ‫ﻷﺑﺎ ِﺋ ِﻬﻢ‬and ِ not‫وﻻ‬knowledge‫ﻋ ًﻠ ٍﻢ‬any ِ َ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻣ‬aboutِ it‫ۦ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ِ ‫ﺑ‬they
ِ have‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻟ‬Not‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
ُ ُ ْ َ َ ْ َُ َ
that َ comes‫ج‬ ‫ﺗﺨﺮ ﱠ‬the word ‫ﻛﻠﻤﺔ‬Mighty is‫ت‬sr ‫ﻛ‬.forefathers
َ ُ َُ ِ َْ ْ

.a lie‫ﻛ ِﺬﺑﺎ‬except‫إﻻ‬they say‫ﻳﻘﻮﻟﻮن‬Not‫إن‬.their mouthsۚ‫أﻓﻮ ِٲﻫ ِﻬﻢ‬of‫ﻣﻦ‬out ْ َ
ِ ِ ِ
ٌ ٰ َ َ ‫َََﱠ‬
the one‫ ﱠ‬who‫ﺑـ ِﺨﻊ‬Then perhaps َ you would َ be‫ﻓﻠﻌﻠﻚ‬
ْ ُ ُْ ْ ْ ٰ‫ءاﺛ‬overI َ ٓ ٰ َ َ َ ْ‫ﱠ‬
they‫ﻳﺆ ِﻣﻨﻮا‬not‫ﻟﻢ‬if‫إن‬,their footsteps ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻫ‬‫ﺮ‬
ِِ ْ ‫ـ‬ ‫ﻋ‬yourself ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻧﻔﺴ‬kills
ً َِ َ

.in grief‫أﺳﻔﺎ‬,the narration‫ﻳﺚ‬ ِ ‫ٱﻟﺤ ِﺪ‬in this‫ﺑﻬـﺬا‬believe ِ
َْ ْ ََ َ ََْ َ ‫ﱠ‬
the‫ض‬ ِ َ ‫ر‬ ‫ٱﻷ‬is on I ‫ﻋ‬what‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻣ‬We have ُ made‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻠ‬‫ﻌ‬ ‫ﺟ‬Indeed,
‫ﱠ‬ We‫ﺎ‬ ً ‫ﻧ‬ ‫ِإ‬
ُ ‫ﱡ‬ ُ َ َ َ
7 which of‫أﻳﻬ ْﻢ‬that We may test them‫ﻟﻨ ْﺒﻠ َﻮﻫ ْﻢ‬,for ِ َ it‫ﻟﻬﺎ‬adornment‫زﻳﻨﺔ‬earth ِ
ً َ َ ُ َ ْ
.in deed‫ﻋﻤﻼ‬is best‫أﺣﺴﻦ‬them

is on‫ﻋﻠ ْﻴ َﻬﺎ‬what‫ﻣﺎ‬will
َ surely make‫ﻟ َﺠٰـ ِﻌﻠﻮن‬And indeed, We‫َو ِإﻧﺎ‬
ً ُ ً َ
.barren‫ﺟ ُﺮزا‬soil‫ا‬

‫ﺻ ِﻌﻴﺪ‬it
ْ َْ َ ٰ َ ْ َ ‫َﱠ‬ َ ْ َ َْ
of the‫ٱﻟﻜﻬ ِﻒ‬the companions‫أﺻﺤـﺐ‬that‫أن‬you think‫ﺣ ِﺴﺒﺖ‬Or‫أم‬
َ َ َ ْ ُ َ
9 a‫ﻋ َﺠ ًﺒﺎ‬,Our Signs‫ء َاﻳٰـ ِﺘﻨﺎ‬among ‫ﻣ ْﻦ‬,were
ِ ‫ﻮا‬ ‫ﻛﺎﻧ‬and the inscription‫ٱﻟﺮﻗ ِﻴﻢ‬
ِ
َ
‫و ﱠ‬cave
?wonder
ْ ُ ََ ْ َْ َ َُْ ْ َ َ ْ
and they‫ﻓﻘﺎﻟﻮا‬,the cave‫ٱﻟﻜﻬ ِﻒ‬to†‫إ‬the ِ youths ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﻔ‬ ِ ‫ٱﻟ‬retreated‫ى‬ ‫و‬ ‫أ‬When ‫ذ‬ ‫ِإ‬
َ َ
ْˆ ‫وﻫ ﱢ‬,Mercy‫رﺣ َﻤﺔ‬Yourself ً ْ َ َ ُ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َ ٓ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ
and‰ \ ‫ﻟﺪﻧﻚ‬from‫ﻣﻦ‬Grant ِ us‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﺗ‬ِ ‫ا‬ ‫!ء‬Our Lord" ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ر‬,said
َ َْ

ً َ َ ْ ََ
".in the right way‫رﺷﺪا‬our affair‫أﻣ ِﺮﻧﺎ‬from‫ﻣﻦ‬for ِ us‫ﻟﻨﺎ‬facilitate

- years] َ[ ‫ﺳﻨ‬the cave‫ٱﻟ َﻜ ْﻬﻒ‬in ْ [

Štheir ‫ﻢ‬ ْ ‫ء َاذاﻧﻬ‬over
َ I
ٰٓ َ َ
‫ﻋ‬So
َ ْ َ َ[ َ
‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻓ‹ﺑ‬
\ِ ِ ears We cast‫ﺎ‬

ِ ِ ًَ ِ َ ِ
.a number‫ﻋﺪدا‬
َ َ ْ ‫ﺑ َﻌ ْﺜ َﻨٰـ ُﻬ‬Then َ ‫ُﺛ ﱠ‬
that We make‫ﻟ َﻨ ْﻌﻠ َﻢ‬We ِ raised them up ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ َ
َ َ ْ [ ْ َ ْ ْ ‫ﱡ‬
12 for‫ﻟﻤﺎ‬best ِ calculated• ٰ ‫أ َﺣ‬of the two parties]ِ \ ‫ٱﻟ ِﺤﺰﺑ‬which‫أى‬evident
ً ْ ُ َ
.in time‫أ َﻣﺪا‬they had remained‫ﻟ ِﺒﺜ ٓﻮا‬what
ْ ُ ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ْ َ ﱢ‬ ُ َََ َ ََْ ‫ﻧ ُﻘ ﱡ‬We َ ُ ‫ﱠﻧ ْﺤ‬
,Indeed‫إﻧﻬﻢ‬.in truthۚ ‫ﻖ‬ ‫ﺤ‬ ‫ﭑﻟ‬ ‫ﺑ‬their story‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫ﺄ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﻧ‬to you ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﻋ‬narrate ‫ﺺ‬ ‫ﻦ‬
ْ ُ ٰ َ ِْ َ ِ ْ ‫ﱢ‬
َ ْ َُ َ ٌَْ
13 and We‫و ِزدﻧـﻬﻢ‬,in their Lord‫ﺑﺮﺑ ِﻬﻢ‬who ِ ً ُ believed‫ءاﻣﻨﻮا‬youths‫ﻓﺘﻴﺔ‬they ِ were
.in guidance‫ﻫﺪى‬increased them
ْ َ ْ ْ ‫ﻗ ُﻠﻮﺑﻬ‬on ُ ََٰ َ َْ ََ
they stood‫ﻗ ُﺎﻣﻮا‬when‫إذ‬their ِ hearts ‫ﻢ‬ ِ ِ I ‫ﻋ‬And We made ُ firm‫ﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ورﺑﻄ‬
َ ْ َ
Lord‫ر ﱡب‬Our
َ َٰ ‫ﱠ‬ َ ‫ر ﱡ‬,and َ
of the‫ٲت‬ ِ ‫ٱﻟﺴﻤـﻮ‬is the َ Lord"‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ َْ ْ َ ‫ﻓﻘﺎﻟﻮا‬up
said
َُْ ْ‫ﱠ‬
‫ﻣﻦ‬we
ٓ َ ْ ُ ‫ﻧﺪﻋﻮا‬Never‫ﻦ‬
‫ﻟ‬.and the earth
َٰ ‫ض‬ ِ ‫وٱﻷر‬heavensُ

ِ will invoke
ْ َ‫ﱠ‬ ً
we would have‫ﻗﻠﻨﺎ‬,Certainly‫ﻟﻘﺪ‬.any godًۖ ‫إﻟـﻬﺎ‬besides ِ Him‫وﻧ ِﻪ ٓۦ‬ ِ ‫د‬
ً َ َ
.an enormity‫ﺷﻄﻄﺎ‬,then‫إذا‬,said ِ

besidesْ ‫وﻧ ِﻪ ٓۦ‬ ‫د‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻣ‬have
ِ taken ‫وا‬ ‫ﺬ‬ ‫ﺨ‬ ‫ٱﺗ‬,our people‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻗ‬,These ‫ء‬ ً ِ َ ‫ﻫـﺆ‬
‫ﻻ‬
َٰ ُ ِ َْ َ َ َُْ َْ‫ﱠ‬ َ
with an‫ﺑﺴﻠﻄـ ِۭﻦ‬to ِ them‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻬ‬
ِ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﻋ‬they come ‫ﻮن‬ ‫ﺗ‬ ‫ﺄ‬ ‫ﻳ‬Why not ‫ﻻ‬‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻟ‬.godsۖ ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫اﻟ‬
ِ ‫ء‬Him

‫ﱠ‬ ُ َ َْ ْ َ َ [ َ
‫ﺑ \ﱢ‬authority
than one‫ﻣﻤ ِﻦ‬is ِ more wrong ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﻇ‬ ‫أ‬And who ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫?ﻓ‬clearۖ ]
ً َ ‫ﱠ‬ ََ ٰ َ َ– ْ ٍ
?a lie‫ﻛ ِﺬﺑﺎ‬Allah/‫ٱ‬against ِ I‫ﻋ‬invents‫ى‬s‫ٱﻓ‬who
َ ُ َ َ ُ ُ ُ ْ َ[ َ– ْ َ
they‫ﻳ ْﻌ ُﺒﺪون‬and what‫و َ َﻣﺎ‬you withdraw from them ‫ﻢ‬ ْ ‫ﻮﻫ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﻟ‬
s ‫ٱﻋ‬And when ‫ذ‬
ِ ‫إ‬ِ ‫و‬
ْ ُW َ ْ ْ َ ْٓ َُْ َ ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ﱠ‬
WillX‫ﻳﻨ‬.the cave‫ٱﻟﻜﻬ ِﻒ‬to†‫إ‬then ِ retreat‫ﻓﺄوۥا‬,Allah/‫ٱ‬except‫إﻻ‬worship
ْ ‫ﱢ‬ َ ُ َ َ ْ ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ﱢ‬ ُ‫َ ﱡ‬ ْ َُِ

and will‰\ ‫وﻳﻬ‬Hisَ Mercy‫رﺣﻤ ِﺘ ِﻪۦ‬of‫ﻦ‬ ُ ْ ‫ﻣ‬your
َ Lord‫رﺑﻜﻢ‬forُ َ you‫ﻟﻜﻢ‬spread
ً ْ‫ﱢ‬ ْ ‫ﱢ‬
".in ease‫ﻣﺮﻓﻘﺎ‬your affair‫أﻣ ِﺮﻛﻢ‬from‫ﻣﻦ‬for you‫ﻟﻜﻢ‬facilitate
َ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ ‫َو َﺗ‬
it‫ﻃﻠ َﻌﺖ‬when‫ا‬ ْ َ َ ِ ‫ذ‬ ‫إ‬,the sun ‫ﺲ‬َ ‫ٱﻟﺸ ْﻤ‬And
َ you might have seen‫ى‬ ‫ﺮ‬
َ ‫ﱠ‬
the]ِ \ ‫ٱﻟﻴ ِﻤ‬to‫ذات‬their cave‫ﻛ ْﻬ ِﻔ ِﻬ ْﻢ‬from‫ﻋﻦ‬inclining away‫ﺗ َﺰ َٲو ُر‬,rose
[ َ
ْ ‫ﺗ ْﻘﺮ ُﺿ ُﻬ‬,it‫ﱠ‬ َ
َ ‫ﻏ َﺮ‬and َ َ
passing away َ from ‫ﻢ‬ ِ set‫ﺖ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ when‫ا‬ ‫ذ‬ ‫و ِإ‬,right
ُ ‫ﱢ‬ َ َ
the open‫ﻓ ْﺠ َﻮ ٍة‬lay inŠwhile َِ
[ they ‫ﻢ‬ َ
ْ ‫وﻫ‬the left ‫ﺎل‬ ِ ‫ﻤ‬ َ ‫ٱﻟﺸ‬to‫ات‬ ‫ذ‬them
‫ﱠ‬ َ ْ َ َ ُ ْ ‫ﱢ‬
Signsْ ‫ءاﻳٰـ ِﺖ‬was from

ofۗ/‫ٱ‬the
ِ َ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻣ‬That
ِ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ٲﻟ‬
ِ ‫ذ‬.thereofۚ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻣ‬space
َ ُْ
is the guidedۖ‫ٱﻟﻤﻬﺘ ِﺪ‬andَ َ he‫ﻓﻬﻮ‬Allah guides/‫ٱ‬َ ُ ُ ‫ﻳ ْﻬﺪ ﱠ‬Whoever‫ﻦ‬
َ َ
‫ﻣ‬.Allah
َ َ ْ ُ ِ
you will‫ﺗ ِﺠﺪ‬then never‫ﻓﻠﻦ‬He lets go astray‫ﻳﻀ ِﻠ ْﻞ‬and whoever‫و َﻣﻦ‬,one َ
ً ‫ﱡ‬ َ َُ
.a guide‫ﻣ ْﺮ ِﺷﺪا‬,a protector‫ﻴﺎ‬Ÿ ‫و ِﻟ‬for him‫ﻟﻪۥ‬find

ٌ ُُ ْ ُ َ ً ََْ ْ ‫َو َﺗ ْﺤ َﺴ ُﺒ ُﻬ‬

wereۚ‫رﻗﻮد‬while they ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫و‬awake‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺎﻇ‬ ‫ﻘ‬‫ﻳ‬ ‫أ‬And you would think them ‫ﻢ‬
َ َ َ ْ َ َ
[ \ ‫ٱﻟ َﻴ ِﻤ‬to ْ ‫و ُﻧ َﻘ ﱢﻠ ُﺒ ُﻬ‬.asleep
َ
and‫وذات‬the right] ِ ‫ات‬ ‫ذ‬And We turned them ‫ﻢ‬
ْ َ َ ٌ َٰ ُ ‫و َﻛ ْﻠ ُﺒ‬,the
َ ‫ﱢ‬
َ ‫ٱﻟﺸ‬to
his two ‫ﻪ‬
ََ ِ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫اﻋ‬‫ر‬ ‫ذ‬stretched
ِ ‫ﻂ‬ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ـ‬ ‫ﺑ‬while their dog‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ leftۖ ‫ﺎل‬ ‫ﻤ‬
ْ ْ َ ِْ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َ ْ ِ
at‫ﻋﻠﻴ ِﻬﻢ‬you had looked‫ٱﻃﻠﻌﺖ‬If‫ﻟ ِﻮ‬.at the entranceۚ‫ﻴﺪ‬ ِ ‫ﺑﭑﻟﻮ ِﺻ‬forelegs
َِ ْ ‫َ َ ﱠ‬

ً َ ْ ُ ْ
in‫ﻓﺮارا‬from them‫ﻣﻨﻬﻢ‬you would have surely turned back‫ﻟﻮﻟﻴﺖ‬,them
ً ْ ُِ ْ ُ ْ ِ َ ْ ََُ
with‫رﻋﺒﺎ‬by them‫ﻣﻨﻬﻢ‬and ِ surely you would have been filled ‫ﺖ‬ ‫وﻟﻤ ِﻠﺌ‬flight

ْ ُ ٓ َ ْ ‫ﺑ َﻌ ْﺜ َﻨٰـ ُﻬ‬,Andَ َ َ ََ
that they might‫ﻟ َﻴﺘ َﺴﺎ َءﻟﻮا‬We ِ َٓ raised themَ ‫ﻢ‬ similarly ‫ﻚ‬ ‫وﻛﺬ ِٲﻟ‬
ْ َ
among‫ﻣﻨ ُﻬ ْﻢ‬a َ ‫ﻗ‬.among themۚ‫ﺑ ْﻴﻨ ُﻬ ْﻢ‬question
‫ ﱢ‬speaker‫ﻗﺎﺋ ٌﻞ‬Said‫ﺎل‬ َ
ِ
َْ َ ْ ُ َ ْ ُْ َ ْ َ
We"‫ﻟ ِﺒﺜﻨﺎ‬,They said‫?"ﻗﺎﻟﻮا‬have you remainedۖ َ ‫ﻟ ِﺒﺜﺘﻢ‬How long"‫ﻛﻢ‬,them
ْ ُ َ ْ َ َ
َ ‫ﺑﻌ‬or‫أو‬a day‫ﻳ ْﻮ ًﻣﺎ‬have
ْ ْ َ
They‫"ﻗﺎﻟﻮا‬.of a dayۚ‫ﻳﻮ ٍم‬a part‫ﺾ‬ remained
ْ ُْ َ َ ُ َْ َ ْ ‫ر ﱡﺑ ُﻜ‬,said
َ
you have‫ﻟ ِﺒﺜﺘﻢ‬how long‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺑ‬knows best ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻠ‬‫ﻋ‬ ‫أ‬Your Lord" ‫ﻢ‬

ٓ ٰ َ ْ ُ َ ِ ُ َ َ َ ُْٓ َْ َ
with
َٰ ْ َ this silver ٓ َ‫ِ ِ َﱡ‬ ‫ۦ‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ﺬ‬ ‫ـ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻜ‬ ‫ﻗ‬ ‫ر‬ ‫ﻮ‬
ِِ ِ ‫ﺑ‬one of you‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻛ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫أ‬So send ‫ا‬‫ﻓ َﭑﺑﻌﺜﻮ‬.remained
ُْ َ ْ َ َ َْ
the£‫أز‬which is‫أﻳﻬﺎ‬and let him see‫ﻓﻠﻴﻨﻈﺮ‬,the city‫ٱﻟﻤ ِ ْﺪﻳﻨ ِﺔ‬to†‫إ‬coin ِ ً َ َ of yours
ُ ْ‫ﱢ‬ ْ ُ ََْ
from‫ﻣﻨﻪ‬provision‫ﺑ ِﺮز ٍق‬and let him bring to you‫ﻓﻠﻴﺄ ِﺗﻜﻢ‬,food‫ﻃ ْﻌﺎﻣ َﺎ‬purest
‫َ َ ُ ْ َ ِﱠ‬ ْ ‫وﻟ َﻴ َﺘﻠ ﱠﻄ‬,it َ
And let not be‫وﻻ ﻳﺸ ِﻌﺮن‬.and let him be cautious ‫ﻒ‬
ً َ َ ْ ُ
".anyone‫أﺣﺪا‬about you‫ﺑﻜﻢ‬aware ِ
ْ ََُْ ْ ُ َ َْ ْ ُ ‫ﱠ‬
about
ْ ‫ﻋﻠﻴ [ﻜﻢ ﱠ‬they come ْ ُ toُ know ُ ْ َ ‫ﻳﻈﻬﺮوا‬if‫إن‬Indeed, ِ they"
ْ ُ ُ ‫َِإ ْﻧﻬُﻢ‬
20 their‫ﻣﻠ ِﺘ ِﻬﻢ‬to ِ ً َ Šreturn ِ ً you‫ﻳ ِﻌﻴﺪوﻛﻢ‬or‫أو‬they will stone youَ ‫ﻳﺮﺟﻤﻮﻛﻢ‬,you
ْٓ ُ ُْ
".ever‫أ َﺑﺪا‬- then‫إذا‬will ِ you succeed ‫ا‬‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﺤ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ِ ‫ﻔ‬ ‫ﺗ‬And never‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻟ‬ َ
‫و‬.religion
ُْٓ ََْ ْ ْ ََ َ ْ َ¦ ْ َ َ َ ََ
that‫ﻟﻴﻌﻠ َﻤﻮا‬about them ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﻋ‬We made known‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻧ‬s ‫ﻋ‬ ‫أ‬,And similarly ‫ﻚ‬ ‫وﻛﺬ ِٲﻟ‬
‫ِ َ ﱠ‬ ‫َ ﱞ‬ ِ ‫ﱠ‬ َْ َ ‫َﱠ‬
and‫وأن‬,is true‫ﺣﻖ‬of Allah/‫ٱ‬the ِ Promise
َ ‫وﻋﺪ‬that‫أن‬they might know
َٓ َ ْ َ ََ ‫ﱠ‬
in‫ﻓﻴﻬﺎ‬doubt ‫رﻳﺐ‬there is no‫ﻻ‬about the Hour‫ٱﻟﺴﺎﻋﺔ‬that
ْ ُِ َ ْ َ ْ ‫ﺑ ْﻴ َﻨ ُﻬ‬theyَ َ ُ َ َٰ َ َ ْ
about theirۖ‫أﻣﺮﻫﻢ‬among themselves ‫ﻢ‬ disputed ‫ﻮن‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﺰ‬ ‫ـ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﻳ‬When ‫ذ‬ ‫إ‬.it
ِ
ً َٰ ْ ُ ْ َ َ ْ ُْ ْ ُ َ َ
21 aۖ‫ﺑﻨﻴـﻨﺎ‬over them‫ﻋﻠﻴ ِﻬﻢ‬Construct" َ َ ‫ٱﺑﻨﻮا‬,and they said‫ﻓﻘﺎﻟﻮا‬affair
ْ
ُ ‫أﻋﻠ‬Their Lord‫ر ﱡﺑ ُﻬ ْﻢ‬.structure
aboutَۚ ‫ﺑ ِﻬ ْﻢ‬knows ِ best ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﱠ‬
ْ ْ ٰٓ َ َ ْ ََُ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َ
their‫أﻣ ِﺮ ِﻫﻢ‬inI‫ﻋ‬prevailed‫ﻏﻠﺒ َﻮا‬those who‫ٱﻟ ِﺬﻳﻦ‬Said‫"ﻗ َﺎل‬.them
ً ْ ‫ﱠ‬ ْ َ ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ََﱠ‬
a place of‫ﻣﺴ ِﺠﺪا‬over them‫ﻋﻠﻴ ِﻬﻢ‬Surely we will take"‫ﻟﻨﺘ ِﺨﺬن‬,matter

their‫ﻛﻠ ُﺒ ُﻬ ْﻢ‬the forth of them‫ر ِاﺑ ُﻌ ُﻬ ْﻢ‬,they ‫ﱠ‬ were three‫ﺛﻠٰـﺜﺔ‬,They say‫َﺳ َﻴﻘﻮﻟﻮن‬
ْ ُ ُ َ ٌ َ ْ َ َ ُ َُ َ
theُ sixth of‫ﺳ ِﺎدﺳﻬﻢ‬they were five ‫ﺧﻤﺴﺔ‬and they say‫;وﻳﻘﻮﻟﻮن‬dog
َ َُ َ َْ ْ َۢ ْ َ ْ ُ ُ َْ
and‫;وﻳﻘﻮﻟﻮن‬about the unseenۖ‫ﺑﭑﻟﻐﻴ ِﺐ‬guessing‫ﺎ‬ ‫رﺟﻤ‬- their dog‫ﻛﻠﺒﻬﻢ‬them
ْ ُ ُْ َ ْ ُ ُِ َ َ ٌ َْ َ
theirۚ‫ﻛﻠﺒﻬﻢ‬and the eight of them‫ﺎﻣﻨ َﻬﻢ‬ ‫وﺛ‬they were sevenُ ‫ﺳﺒﻌﺔ‬,they say
‫ﱠ‬ ُ ْ َِ ٓ ‫ر ﱢ‬,Say‫ﻞ‬
‫ﱠ‬
22 their‫ﻢ‬
ََ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﺗ‬
ِ ‫ﺪ‬
ِ ٌِ َ ‫ﻌ‬ ِ ‫ﺑ‬knows best ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻠ‬‫ﻋ‬ ‫أ‬,My Lord" « r َ ‫ﻗ‬.dog
So do‫ﻓﻼ‬.a fewۗ‫ﻗ ِﻠﻴﻞ‬except‫إ ﱠﻻ‬knows them ‫ﻢ‬ْ ‫ﻳ ْﻌﻠ ُﻤ ُﻬ‬None‫ﺎ‬
َ ‫ﱠ‬
‫ﻣ‬.number
ً َٓ ِ ْ ‫ﻓﻴﻬ‬argue‫ﺗ َﻤﺎر‬not ُ
with an‫ﻣﺮاء‬except ِ َْ َ ِ ‫ﻻ‬ ‫إ‬about them ‫ﻢ‬
ََ ِ ِ ِ َ
about‫ﻓ ِﻴﻬﻢ‬inquire ْ
‫ﺗﺴﺘﻔ ِﺖ‬and َ do not‫وﻻ‬,obvious‫ﻇٰـ ِﻬﺮا‬argument ً
ِ ً ْ‫ﱢ‬
".from anyone‫أ َﺣﺪا‬among them‫ﻣﻨ ُﻬ ْﻢ‬them

َ ‫ﱢ‬ ْ ‫ﻟ َﺸ ْﺎ‬say‫ﻮﻟ ﱠﻦ‬ َ َُ ََ

will‫ﻓ ِﺎﻋ ٌﻞ‬Indeed, I"«[ ‫إ‬,of anything ‫ء‬ ‫ى‬ ‫ﻘ‬ ‫ﺗ‬And do not ‫ﻻ‬ ‫و‬
23 ِ ًَ ٍ َ ِ َ
".tomorrow‫ﻏﺪا‬that‫ذ ِٲﻟﻚ‬do
َ ‫ﱠ ﱠ‬ ُْ َ ُ ‫َ َ َٓ ﱠ‬ َ ٓ‫ﱠ‬
your‫رﺑﻚ‬Andَ remember‫"وٱذﻛﺮ‬.Allah willsۚ/‫ﻳﺸﺎء ٱ‬If"‫أن‬,Except‫ِإﻻ‬
will‫ﻳ ْﻬ ِﺪ َﻳ ِﻦ‬that‫ن‬
َ ‫أ‬Perhaps" ¬ ٰٓ َ ‫ﻋ‬,andَ
say ‫ﻞ‬ ْ ‫و ُﻗ‬you َ forget ‫ﻴﺖ‬
َ
‫ﺴ‬
َ
‫ﻧ‬when‫ا‬ ‫ذ‬
َ
‫إ‬Lord

ً َ َ َ َٰ ْ َ ِ ِ
".right way‫رﺷﺪا‬this‫ﻫـﺬا‬than‫ﻣﻦ‬to ْ َ َ ‫ﱢ‬ َ
ِ a nearer way‫ﻷﻗﺮب‬my ِ Lord«r ‫ر‬guide me
َ ََ َ [ ْ ُ ََ
for‫ﺛﻠٰـﺚ‬their cave‫ﻛ ْﻬ ِﻔ ِﻬ ْﻢ‬inŠAnd ِ they remained ْ ‫ﻮا‬ ‫وﻟ ِﺒﺜ‬
ْ ُ َ ْ َ َ
.nine‫ ِﺗ ْﺴ ًﻌﺎ‬and add‫وٱزدادوا‬years] َ[ \ ‫ﺳﻨ‬hundred‫ﻣﺎﺋﺔ‬three

ِ ِ ٍ ِ
ْ ُ َ َ ُ َْ َ ُ‫ﱠ‬ ُ
theyۖ‫ﻟ ِﺒﺜﻮا‬about what period‫ﺑﻤﺎ‬knows ِ ُ َْ best ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫أ‬Allah" /‫ٱ‬,Say ‫ﻞ‬ ِ ‫ﻗ‬
َ ٰ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َُ
َ of the‫ٲت‬ ِ ‫ٱﻟﺴﻤـﻮ‬is the unseen‫ﻏﻴﺐ‬For َ Him‫ﻟﻪۥ‬.remained َْ َ
ْ ْ َ ْ ْ ْ
Andۚ‫وأﺳ ِﻤﻊ‬of it‫!ﺑ ِﻪۦ‬How ِ ُ clearly He sees َ ‹ِ ‫أﺑ‬.and the earthۖ‫ض‬ ِ ‫وٱﻷر‬heavens

‫ﱢ‬ ُ َ
besides‫ۦ‬ ‫ﻪ‬
ِ ‫وﻧ‬ِ ‫د‬ ‫ﻦ‬‫ﻣ‬for them‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻟ‬Not‫ﺎ‬ ‫!ﻣ‬how َ clearly He hears
ْ ُ [ ُ ْ ُ َ َ
His‫ﺣﻜ ِﻤ ِﻪ ٓۦ‬inŠHe ِ shares ‫ك‬ Xِ
W ‫ﻳ‬and not‫وﻻ‬,protector†‫و ﱟ‬any‫ﻦ‬

27 and‫وﻟﻦ‬His Words‫ﻟﻜ ِﻠﻤـ ِﺘ ِﻪۦ‬can ِ change ‫ل‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﻣ‬None ‫ﻻ‬.of your Lordۖ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫رﺑ‬Book
ً َ َُْ ُ َ َ
.a refuge‫ﻣﻠﺘﺤﺪا‬besides Him‫وﻧ ِﻪۦ‬ ِ ‫ﻣﻦ د‬you ِ will find‫ﺗ ِﺠﺪ‬never

‫ﱠ‬
َ ‫ٱﻟﺬ‬with َ ‫ﻣ‬,yourself
َ َ َ َْ ْ r ‫ٱﺻ‬ْ ‫َو‬
those‫ﻳﻦ‬ ْ َ ِ ‫ﻊ‬ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ﻔ‬ ‫ﻧ‬,And be patient s َِ ُ ْ َ
‫ﱢ‬ W َ َ َْ ُ ‫ﱠ‬ َ
and the¬ِ ‫وٱﻟﻌ‬in the morning ََ ‫وٲة‬
ِ ‫ﺑﭑﻟ ُﻐﺪ‬theirَِ ْ َ Lord‫رﺑﻬﻢ‬call‫ﻳﺪﻋﻮن‬who
ُ َْ َ ُ ُ
pass‫ﺗﻌﺪ‬And let not‫وﻻ‬His Faceۖ‫وﺟﻬﻪۥ‬desiring‫ﻳ ِﺮﻳﺪون‬evening
َْ َ ََْ
over‫ﻋﻨ ُﻬ ْﻢ‬your ْ eyes ‫ﺎك‬ ‫ﻋﻴﻨ‬beyond
ََ
28 َْ ‫ﱡ‬ َ َ ُ ُ
of theۖ‫ٱﻟﺪﻧﻴﺎ‬of the life‫ﻮٲة‬ ‫ٱﻟﺤﻴ‬adornment‫زﻳﻨﺔ‬desiring ‫ﻳﺪ‬
َ َ ‫ﺗ ِﺮ‬,them
َ ْ َ ْ َِ ْ َ ْ ُ ِ
We Have Made‫أﻏﻔﻠﻨﺎ‬whom‫ﻣﻦ‬obey‫ﺗ ِﻄﻊ‬and do not‫وﻻ‬,world
‫َ ﱠ‬ َ ْ َ ُ ََْ
and‫وٱﺗ َﺒ َﻊ‬,Our rememberance‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫ﺮ‬‫ﻛ‬ ‫ذ‬of‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻋ‬his heart‫ۥ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻗﻠﺒ‬Heedless
ً ُُ ُ َُْ ِ ِ َ ََ ُ َ
.in excess‫ﻓﺮﻃﺎ‬his affair‫أﻣﺮهۥ‬and is‫وﻛﺎن‬his desires‫ﻪ‬°ٰ ‫ﻫ َﻮ‬follows

َ َ ْ ُ‫ﱠ ﱢ‬ ‫ْ َ ﱡ‬ َُ
so‫ﻓﻤ ٓﻦ‬,your Lordۖ‫رﺑﻜﻢ‬is from‫ﻣﻦ‬The ِ truth"‫ٱﻟﺤ َ ْﻖ‬,And ٓ say‫وﻗ ِﻞ‬
َ َ ْ َ
- wills‫ﺷﺎء‬and whoever‫وﻣﻦ‬letَ him believe‫ﻓﻠ ُﻴﺆ ِﻣﻦ‬- wills‫ﺷﺎ َء‬whoever
َ َ
َ[ ‫ﻠﻈٰـﻠﻤ‬‫ﱠ‬ َ َْْ ٓ‫ﱠ‬ ْ ُ ََْْ
for] \ ِِ ُِ ‫ﻟ‬have prepared‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫أ‬Indeed, We َ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫"إ‬.let
ِ him disbelieveۚ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻔ‬ ‫ﻓﻠﻴﻜ‬
َ َ
itsۚ‫ ِادﻗ َﻬﺎ‬±themَ ُ ‫ﺑ ِﻬ ُ ْﻢ‬will surround ‫ﺎط‬ ‫ﺣ‬ َ ‫أ‬,a Fire‫ﻧ ًﺎرا‬the wrongdoers
29 ْ َِ ُ ْ ُ َ ْ َ َ
they will be‫ﻳﻐﺎﺛﻮا‬,they call for relief ْ َ ‫ﻮا‬ ‫ﻴﺜ‬ ‫ﻐ‬ِ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ﻳ‬And if‫ن‬
َٓ ‫إ‬ِ ‫و‬.walls
ْ َ ْ ُ
which‫ى‬ ‫ﻳﺸﻮ‬,like molten brass‫ﻛﭑﻟﻤﻬ ِﻞ‬with water‫ﺑﻤﺎ ٍء‬relieved َِ ُ ُ ْ
ْ َٓ َ َ ِ ُ َ ‫ﱠ‬W َ ْ
and‫وﺳﺎءت‬,is the drink‫اب‬X‫ٱﻟ‬Wretched‫ﺑﺌﺲ‬.the facesۚ‫ٱﻟﻮﺟﻮه‬scalds
ً َ َ ِْ ُ
.is the resting place‫ﻣﺮﺗﻔﻘﺎ‬evil
ٰ َ ٰ ‫ﱠ‬ ْ ُ َ َ ْ َُ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ﱠ‬
the good‫ٱﻟﺼـ ِﻠﺤـ ِﺖ‬and did
َ ‫ﻮا‬ ‫ﻠ‬‫ﻤ‬ِ ‫ﻋ‬‫و‬believed‫ﻮا‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫اﻣ‬ ‫ء‬those َ who ‫ﻳﻦ‬ ‫ﺬ‬ِ ‫ٱﻟ‬,Indeed‫ن‬ ‫ِإ‬
ْ َ ْ ُ ُ ‫ﱠ‬
30 of one‫ﻣﻦ‬the reward‫أﺟ َﺮ‬will not let go waste‫ﻀﻴﻊ‬ َ ِ ‫ﻻ ﻧ‬indeed, We‫إﻧﺎ‬,deedsِ
ً َ َ َ َ ْ
.deeds‫ﻋﻤﻼ‬does good‫أﺣﺴﻦ‬who

of‫ﻋﺪ ْ ٍ َن‬are Gardens‫ﺟﻨـﺖ‬for them‫ﻟﻬﻢ‬,Those‫أوﻟـ ِﺌﻚ‬
ْ َ َ
the‫ٱﻷﻧ َﻬٰـ ُﺮ‬underneath them‫ﺗ ْﺤ ِﺘ ِﻬ ُﻢ‬from‫ﻣﻦ‬flows‫ى‬
ْ ‫ﺗ‬,Eden
ِ َ ‫ِ ﱠ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﺠ‬
ْ
of‫ﻣﻦ‬therein‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻴﻬ‬َ ‫ﻓ‬They will be adorned ‫ن‬ ‫ﻮ‬ْ ‫ﻳ َﺤﻠ‬.rivers

ِ َ ُ َ ََِْ َ َ َ
and will‫وﻳﻠﺒﺴﻮن‬gold‫ذﻫ ٍﺐ‬of‫ﻣﻦ‬bracelets َ
‫أﺳﺎور‬with َ
ََ ْ َ ُ ُ ِ ًْ [ ُ ِ

and heavy‫ ٍق‬sr ‫و ِإﺳﺘ‬fine silk‫س‬ ‫ﻨﺪ‬ ‫ﺳ‬of‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﱢ‬
‫ﻣ‬,green‫ا‬ ‹ ‫ﺧ‬,garments‫ﺎ‬ ً ‫ﺛ َﻴ‬wear
‫ﺎﺑ‬
ََٓ ْ ٍََ ِ
َ َ ٔ ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ﱡ‬
[ \ ‫ﻣﺘ ِﻜ ِـ‬,brocade
adornedۚ‫ٱﻷرا ِﺋ ِﻚ‬onI‫ﻋ‬therein‫ﻓﻴﻬﺎ‬reclining ِ ]
ً ََ ُ ْ َ ‫ﱠ‬
is the‫ﻣ ْﺮﺗﻔﻘﺎ‬and good‫و َﺣ ُﺴﻨﺖ‬,is َ the reward‫اب‬ ُ ‫ٱﻟﺜ َﻮ‬Excellent ‫ ِﻧ ْﻌ َﻢ‬.couches

ُ ‫ﻟ‬And set forth ‫ب‬ْ µ‫ٱ‬ْ[ ‫َو‬
ِْ َ ‫َ ﱠ‬ َ َ ََْ َ ِ
[
two]ِ \ ‫ﺟﻨﺘ‬for one of them‫ﻷﺣ ِﺪ ِﻫﻤﺎ‬Weَ َِ provided‫ﺟ َﻌﻠﻨﺎ‬:men
32 ْ َ ُ ْ
َ ‫وﺣﻔﻔﻨٰـﻬ‬,grapes‫أ ْﻋ َﻨٰـﺐ‬of‫ﻣ ْﻦ‬gardens
َ َ َ
with‫ﺑﻨﺨ ٍﻞ‬and We bordered them‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ٍََْ َ َ ِ
ً َْ ِ َ ُ ََْ
.crops‫زرﻋﺎ‬between both of them‫ﺑﻴﻨﻬﻤﺎ‬and We placed‫وﺟﻌﻠﻨﺎ‬,date-palms

َ َُُ ْ َ َ ْ
[ ْ\ ‫ٱﻟ َﺠ ﱠﻨ َﺘ‬Each‫ﺎ‬ َْ
its‫أ ﻛﻠﻬﺎ‬brought forth ‫ﺖ‬ ‫اﺗ‬ ‫ء‬of the two gardens ]ِ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫ِﻛﻠ‬
َْ ‫َ َ ﱠ‬ َ ُ ْ ‫ﱢ‬ ْ َ َ َ
33 And We‫وﻓﺠﺮﻧﺎ‬.anythingۚ‫ﺷ ْﻴ ¶ـﺎ‬of it‫ﻣﻨﻪ‬did wrong‫ﺗﻈ ِﻠﻢ‬and not‫وﻟ ْﻢ‬produce
ً َ َ َ ُ َ َٰ
.a river‫ﻧﻬﺮا‬within them‫ﺧﻠـﻠﻬﻤﺎ‬caused ِ to gush forth

ٰ َ َ ََ ٌ َ َ َُ َ ََ
۟ َ َ ‫ﻟﺼـ ِﺤ ِﺒ ِﻪ‬so
to his‫ۦ‬ ِ he said‫ﻓﻘﺎل‬,fruit ‫ﺛﻤﺮ‬for him‫ﻟﻪۥ‬And was‫وﻛﺎن‬
ُٓ ُ َ ُ ُ َ
I"‫أﻧﺎ‬,was talking withَ him‫ﻳﺤ ِﺎورهۥ‬while he‫وﻫ َﻮ‬companion
َ¦ ْ َ

ً ََ ‫ﱡ‬ َ َ ً َ َ ُ
".in men‫ﻧﻔﺮا‬and stronger‫وأﻋﺰ‬in wealth‫ﻣﺎﻻ‬than you‫ﻣﻨﻚ‬greater ِ s‫أ ﻛ‬am

ٌ َ َ ‫و ُﻫ‬his
َ ُ َ‫َ ﱠ‬ َ ‫َو َد َﺧ‬
was‫ﻇ ِﺎﻟﻢ‬while
َ he ‫ﻮ‬ garden‫ۥ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﺟ‬And he entered ‫ﻞ‬
َ َ ‫ﱡ‬ َُ َٓ َ
َ ‫ﻗ‬.to َْ‫ﱢ‬
35 will‫ﺗ ِﺒﻴﺪ‬that‫أن‬I think‫أﻇﻦ‬Not"َ‫ﻣﺎ‬,He said‫ﺎل‬ himself‫ﻟﻨﻔ ِﺴ ِﻪۦ‬unjust
ً َ
.ever‫أ َﺑﺪا‬this‫ﻫٰـ ِﺬ ِه ٓۦ‬perish

‫ﱡ ﱡ‬ [ ˆ ََ ً َ َٓ ََ ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ﱡ‬ َُ َٓ َ
I am‫ر ِددت‬And if]ِ ‫وﻟ‬.will occur‫ﻗﺎ ِﺋﻤﺔ‬the Hour َ َ ‫ٱﻟﺴﺎﻋﺔ‬I thinkَ‫أﻇﻦ‬And not‫وﻣﺎ‬
ْ‫ﱢ‬ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ
than‫ﻣﻨﻬﺎ‬better‫ا‬sً \ ‫ﺧ‬I will surely find‫ﻷ ِﺟﺪن‬,my Lord«‫ ﱢ‬r ‫ر‬to
َ ْ َ †ٰ ‫إ‬brought back

ََ ُ ِ
ً
".as a return‫ﻣﻨﻘﻠﺒﺎ‬this
ٓ ُ ُ َ ُ َ ُ َ ُُ َ َُ َ َ
was talking‫ﻳﺤ ِﺎورهۥ‬while he‫وﻫﻮ‬his companion‫ﺎﺣﺒﻪۥ‬ ِ ‫ﺻ‬to him‫ۥ‬ ‫ﻟﻪ‬Said‫ﻗﺎل‬
َ ََ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َََْ
created‫ﺧﻠﻘﻚ‬in One Who‫ﺑﭑﻟ ِﺬى‬Do you disbelieve" ‫أ ﻛﻔﺮت‬,to him
37 َ ْ‫ِ ﱡ‬ ُ‫ﱠ‬ َ ُ
a minute quantity of‫ﻧﻄﻔ ٍﺔ‬from‫ﻣﻦ‬then ِ َ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﺛ‬dust ‫اب‬ ٍ ‫ﺮ‬
ُ ‫ﺗ‬from‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻣ‬you
ِ
ً ُ َ ٰ ‫ﱠ‬ َ ‫ﱠ‬
?into a man‫رﺟﻼ‬fashioned you‫ﻚ‬°‫ﺳﻮ‬then‫ﺛﻢ‬.semen
ُ ْW ُ ََٓ ‫ﱢ‬ َ ُ ‫ﱠ‬ َ ُ ۟ ‫ﱠٰ ﱠ‬
I‫ك‬±ِ ‫أ‬and not‫وﻻ‬,my Lord «‫ر‬,is Allah/‫ٱ‬He‫ﻫﻮ‬,But as for me‫ﻟـ ِﻜﻨﺎ‬
ً َ َ r
.anyone‫أﺣﺪا‬with my Lord«ٓ ‫ ﱢ‬r ‫ﺑ َﺮ‬associate

َ َ‫َ ﱠ‬ َ َْ َ ْ َََْٓ
your‫ﺟﻨﺘﻚ‬you entered ‫ﺖ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﺧ‬ ‫د‬when ‫ذ‬ ‫إ‬,And why did you not ‫ﻻ‬ ‫وﻟﻮ‬
َ ‫ِ َ ٓ َ ُﱠ‬ َ َ ْ ُ
there is‫;ﻻ‬Allah wills/‫ﺷﺎء ٱ‬What`‫ﻣﺎ‬,say ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ﻗﻠﺖ‬garden
39 ََ ‫ﱠ‬ َ ‫ُﱠ‬
you‫ﺗﺮ ِن‬If‫'إن‬.with Allahۚ /‫ﭑ‬
ِ ‫ﺑ‬except ‫ﻻ‬ ‫إ‬power ‫ة‬ ‫ﻗﻮ‬no
ً َ َ َِ ً َ ِ َ ِ ‫ﱠ‬ ََ ََ۟
,and children‫ووﻟﺪا‬in wealth‫ﻣﺎﻻ‬than you‫ﻣﻨﻚ‬lesser ِ ‫أﻗﻞ‬me‫أﻧﺎ‬see
َ ُْ َ ٓ‫َ ﱢ‬ َ َ َ
[ ٰ
َ َ َ will give]ِ \ ‫ﻳﺆ ِﺗ‬that ُ
my Lord‫« أن‬r ‫ر‬It may be¬‫ﻓﻌ‬
َ َ ‫َ ﱠ‬ َ
ْ
upon‫ﻋﻠﻴﻬﺎ‬and will send‫وﻳ ْﺮ ِﺳﻞ‬your َ garden‫ﺟﻨ ِﺘﻚ‬than‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﱢ‬
‫ﻣ‬better‫ا‬ sً ْ\ ‫ﺧ‬me
َ َُ َٓ ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ ﱢ‬calamity‫ﺣ ْﺴ َﺒ ًﺎﻧﺎ‬it
then it will‫ﻓﺘ ْﺼ ِﺒﺢ‬,the sky َ ‫ﻣ‬a ُ

‫ء‬ ِ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ٱﻟﺴ‬from ‫ﻦ‬
ًََ ً َ
,slippery‫زﻟﻘﺎ‬ground‫ﺻ ِﻌﻴﺪا‬become
َ َ ْ َ ََ ً ْ َ َ َُٓ َ ْ ُ َْ

you‫ﺗﺴﺘ ِﻄﻴﻊ‬so never‫ﻓﻠﻦ‬,sunken‫ﻏﻮرا‬,its ًَ َ ُ َ water‫ﻣﺎؤﻫﺎ‬,will become‫ﻳﺼ ِﺒﺢ‬Or‫أو‬
".to find it‫ﻟﻪۥ ﻃﻠﺒﺎ‬will be able
َ َ ْ ََ َ َ َ َُ
so he‫ﻓﺄﺻﺒﺢ‬,hisَ fruits‫ۦ‬
ٓ َ ‫ﺑﺜﻤ ِﺮ ِه‬And ِ َ َ were surrounded ‫ﱢوأ ِﺣﻴﻂ‬
َ َ َ ٰ ْ ‫ﱠ‬ َ ُ َُ
on‫ﻓﻴﻬﺎ‬he ِ had spent‫أﻧﻔﻖ‬what‫ﻣﺎ‬overIَ ‫ﻋ‬his hands‫ﻛﻔﻴ ِ ٌﻪ‬twisting‫ﻳﻘﻠﺐ‬began
َُ َ ُ َ َ
and he‫وﻳﻘﻮل‬,its trellises‫وﺷ َﻬﺎ‬
ُ ُ ٰ َ ‫ﺧﺎو‬while َ
َ ِ ‫و‬,it
ِ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻋ‬on I ‫ﻋ‬collapsed ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻳ‬ ِ it had º
ْ ْW ُ ْ َ

ٓ ‫ﱢ‬ َ
with my«r ‫ﺑﺮ‬Iِ had not associated‫ك‬± ‫أ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻟ‬Oh! I wish" ‰ [ ِ ‫ﻳٰـ َﻠ ْﻴ َﺘ‬,said

".anyone‫أﺣﺪا‬Lord

َ ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﺌ‬ ‫ﻓ‬for
ِ him‫ۥ‬‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻟ‬was‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻜ‬‫ﺗ‬And not ‫ﻢ‬

ً ِ ‫ﻣﻨﺘ‬was‫ﻛﺎن‬and not‫و َﻣﺎ‬,Allah
ُ َ ‫ﱠ‬
.he supported‫‹ا‬ /‫ٱ‬than
ِ
َ ُ ‫ْ ﱢ‬ ‫ﱠ‬ ُ َ َٰ َ ْ َ َُ
issٌ ْ\ ‫ﺧ‬He‫ﻫ َﻮ‬.the Trueۚ‫ٱﻟ َﺤﻖ‬is from Allah/the ِ ِ َ protection ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ـ‬ ‫ﻟ‬َ ‫ﻮ‬‫ٱﻟ‬,There‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻫﻨ ِﺎﻟ‬
ًْ ُ
.for the final end‫ﻋﻘﺒﺎ‬and the bestsٌ ْ\ ‫وﺧ‬to َ reward‫ﺛ َﻮ ًاﺑﺎ‬the best

ْ ‫ﱡ‬ ْ
َ ‫ٱﻟ َﺤ‬the َ ‫ﻣ َﺜ‬to
‫ ﱠ‬them‫ﻟ ُﻬﻢ‬And َ ْ µ‫ٱ‬ْ[ ‫َو‬
of‫ٱﻟﺪﻧ َﻴﺎ‬of the life‫ﻮٲة‬ ِ ‫ﻴ‬ example ‫ﻞ‬ present ‫ب‬ ِ
َٓ ‫ﱠ‬ َ ُ َٰ ْ َ َ َٓ َ
the‫ٱﻟﺴﻤﺎ ِء‬from َْ ْ ‫ﻣﻦ‬which
ِ We send down‫أﻧﺰﻟﻨـﻪ‬like water‫ﻛﻤﺎ ٍء‬,the world
ُ ََ َ ََ ْ َ
of the‫ض‬ ‫ٱﻷر‬the vegetation‫ﻧﺒﺎت‬with it‫ﺑ ِﻪۦ‬then mingles‫ﻓﭑﺧﺘﻠﻂ‬,sky
ُ َٰ ‫ِ ﱢ‬ َِ َ َ ْ ََ

ُ َُْ ً
byۗ‫ٱﻟﺮﻳـﺢ‬it is scattered‫ﺗﺬروه‬,dry stalks‫ﺎ‬ ُ ‫ﻫ ِﺸ َﻴﻤ‬then becomesَ ‫ﻓﺄﺻﺒﺢ‬earth
ً َْ‫ﱡ‬ ْ W َ ‫ﱢ‬ ٰ ‫ﻋ‬Andَ ُ ‫ﺎن ﱠ‬
َ َ
.is All Able‫ﻣﻘﺘ ِﺪرا‬thing‫» ٍء‬every ‫ﻛﻞ‬overI Allah/‫ٱ‬ ‫وﻛ‬.the winds

َ ‫ٱﻟ َﺤ‬are ْ َُ َ َُْ َ ُ ‫ْٱﻟ َﻤ‬

of the‫ﻮٲة‬ ِ ُ‫ﻴ‬ adornment ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻳﻨ‬ ‫ز‬and
ِ children ‫ﻮن‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ٱﻟ‬ ‫و‬The wealth ‫ﺎل‬
َ ‫ﱠ‬ ُ َٰ َٰ ْ َ ْ‫ﱡ‬
good‫ٱﻟﺼـ ِﻠﺤـﺖ‬But theَ enduring‫وٱﻟﺒـ ِﻘﻴـﺖ‬.of the worldۖ‫ٱﻟﺪﻧ َﻴﺎ‬life
ٰ ٰ
َ َ َ َ َ َ
andsٌ ْ\ ‫وﺧ‬for reward‫ﺛ َﻮ ًاﺑﺎ‬your Lord‫ر ﱢ َﺑﻚ‬near bettersٌ ْ\ ‫ﺧ‬deeds
46
‫ﻋﻨﺪ‬are
ِ
ً
.for hope‫أ َﻣﻼ‬better
ََ ْ
َ ‫ٱﻟﺠ َﺒ‬We ُ
ُ ‫ﻧ َﺴ \ﱢ‬And َ ‫َو َﻳ ْﻮ‬
and‫وﺗ َﺮى‬the mountains‫ﺎل‬ ِ will cause to move s َْ the Day ‫م‬
ْ ُ ٰ َ ْ َW َ َ ًَ َ َ ْ
and We will‫ﻧـﻬﻢ‬X‫وﺣ‬as a leveled plain‫ﺑ ِﺎرزة‬the earth َ َ ‫ٱﻷرض‬you will see
ُ ْ َ ُ
from‫ﻣﻨﻬ ْﻢ‬We will leave behind‫ﻧﻐ َِﺎد ْر‬and not‫ﻓﻠ ْﻢ‬gather them

ِ ً
.anyone‫أ َﺣﺪا‬them
Ÿ َ
in‫ﺻﻔﺎ‬your Lord
َ ‫َ ﱢ‬
‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ر‬before ٰ َ ‫ﻋ‬And
I
َ
they will be presented
ْ ُ ُ َ
‫ﻮا‬ ‫وﻋ ﱠ ِﺮﺿ‬
ُْ ٰ َ ْ َ َ َ َ ُ ْ ْ َ
We created‫ﺧﻠﻘﻨـﻜﻢ‬as‫ﻛ َﻤَ ﱠﺎ‬you have come to Us‫ﺟﺌﺘ ُﻤﻮﻧﺎ‬,Certainly" ِ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻟﻘ‬,rows
َ

َ َ ْ ‫ﱠ‬ ْ ُ ْ َ َ ْ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬
We‫ﻧﺠﻌﻞ‬that not‫أﻟﻦ‬you claimed‫زﻋﻤﺘﻢ‬,Nay‫ﺑﻞ‬.timeۚ
ً ْ‫ﱠ‬ ُ َ ‫ﻣ ِۭﺮة‬the first‫أول‬you
".an appointment‫ﻣﻮ ِﻋﺪا‬for you‫ﻟﻜﻢ‬made

the]\ ‫ٱﻟﻤﺠ ِ ِﺮﻣ‬and you will see‫ى‬s‫ﻓ‬the Book‫ٱﻟ ِﻜﺘـﺐ‬And will be placed‫َو ُو ِﺿ َﻊ‬
َ [ ْ ُ َ ُ ٰ
َ ُ َُ َ ‫ﻣ ﱠ‬fearful] َ[ \ ‫ﻣ ْﺸﻔﻘ‬criminals
ُ
and they will ‫ﻮن‬ ‫ﻮﻟ‬‫ﻘ‬ ‫ﻳ‬ ‫و‬,is in it ‫ﻴﻪ‬ِ ‫ﻓ‬of
ِ what‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ِ ِ ِ
َ ْ َ َ َ َ َ َ ْ َ َٰ
the‫ٱﻟ ِﻜﺘٰـ ِﺐ‬this‫ﻫٰـﺬا‬What is for ‫ﺎل‬ ‫!ﻣ‬Oh, woe to us"‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻳـﻮﻳﻠﺘ‬,say
ًَ َ ََ ً َِ َ َ ُ ‫ﻻ‬,Book َ
49 a‫ة‬s\ ‫ﻛ ِﺒ‬and not‫وﻻ‬a small‫ة‬s\ ‫ﺻ ِﻐ‬leaves‫ﻳﻐ ِﺎد ُر‬not َ
ْ ُ َ ََ َ ٰ َ ْ ٓ‫ﱠ‬
And they will‫?"ووﺟﺪوا‬has َ enumerated itۚ‫أﺣﺼـﻬﺎ‬except‫إﻻ‬great َِ
ُ ْ َ َ ً [ َ ْ ُ َ
deals‫ﻳﻈ ِﻠﻢ‬And not‫وﻻ‬.presentedۗ ‫ا‬µ‫ﺎ‬ ِ ‫ﺣ‬they did‫ﻋ ِﻤﻠﻮا‬what‫ﻣﺎ‬find
ً َ َ َ ‫َ ﱡ‬
.with anyone‫أﺣﺪا‬your Lord‫رﺑﻚ‬unjustly

َ ََ ْ ُ ُ ْ َ ٰٓ َ َ ْ َُْ ْ َ
to‫ﻷدم‬Prostrate"
ِ ‫ٱﺳﺠﺪوا‬,to the ‫ﱠ‬ Angels‫ﻟﻠﻤﻠـ ِﺌﻜ ِﺔ‬We ِ said‫ﻗﻠﻨﺎ‬And when‫و ِإذ‬
َ َ َ ‫إﺑﻠ‬except‫إﻻ‬so they prostrated‫"ﻓ َﺴ َﺠ ُﺪ ٓو ْا‬,Adam
ْ ٓ َ
He‫ﻛﺎن‬.Iblis َ ‫ﻴﺲ‬ َِ ِ ِ
ْ ْ َ َ ََ ْ َ
‫ٱﻟﺠ ﱢ‬of
the‫أﻣ ِﺮ‬against ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻋ‬and he rebelled ‫ﻖ‬ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ﻔ‬ ‫ﻓ‬,the jinn ‫ﻦ‬ ِ ‫ﻣﻦ‬was
ِ
ُٓ َ ‫َ ُ ﱢ ﱠ‬ ُ َ ُ ‫َََﱠ‬ ٓ ‫ﱢ‬ َ
and his‫وذرﻳﺘﻪۥ‬Will you then take him‫أﻓﺘﺘ ِﺨﺬوﻧﻪۥ‬.of his Lordۗ‫رﺑ ِﻪۦ‬Command
َٓ َْ

ْ َُ ْ ُ َ [ ُ َ
are‫ﻟﻜﻢ‬while they‫وﻫﻢ‬,other than Me«‫ﻣﻦ د ِو‬as ِ protectors ‫أ ۢو ِﻟﻴﺎء‬offspring
ً ََ ‫ﱠ‬
َ[ ‫ﻟﻠﻈٰـﻠﻤ‬Wretched‫ﺲ‬ َ ‫?ﺑﺌ‬enemiesۚ‫ﻋ ُﺪ ﱡو‬to
ْ َ
is the‫ﺑﺪﻻ‬for the wrongdoers] \ِِ ِ ِ you
.exchange

َ ٰ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َْ ْ ُ ‫َ ْ َ ﱡ‬ ٓ‫ﱠ‬
of the‫ٲت‬ ‫ﻮ‬
ُِ َ ‫ـ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ٱﻟﺴ‬the creation ْ ‫ﻖ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﺧ‬I made َ them witness ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻬ‬
َ ‫ﺪﺗ‬
ْ ‫ﻬ‬‫ﺷ‬ ‫أ‬Not‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
َ َ َ َ
of‫ﻧﻔ ِﺴ ِﻬ ْﻢ‬ ‫ُْ ﱢ‬‫أ‬the creation ‫ﻖ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﺧ‬and not
َ ‫ُﱠ‬ ‫ﻻ‬ ‫و‬and the earth ‫ض‬ ِ ‫ر‬ ْ ‫وٱﻷ‬heavens
ُ ُ َ
the]\ ‫ٱﻟﻤ ِﻀﻠ‬the One to take‫ﻣﺘ ِﺨﺬ‬I Am‫ﻛﻨﺖ‬and not‫و َﻣﺎ‬themselves
َ [

ً ُ َ
.as helpers‫ﻋﻀﺪا‬misleaders
َ ‫ٱﻟﺬ‬,My ‫ﱠ‬ َ ‫ﻛ ٓﺎء‬±Call"
َ َ ُW ْ ُ َ ُ ‫ﻳ ُﻘ‬And
َ َ ‫َو َﻳ ْﻮ‬
those‫ﻳﻦ‬ ِ ََ partners ‫ى‬ ِ ‫وا‬ ‫ﺎد‬ ‫ﻧ‬,He will say ‫ﻮل‬ the Day ‫م‬
ُ َ ََ ُ َ َ
but‫ﻓﻠ ْﻢ‬then theyْ will call them‫"ﻓﺪﻋ ْﻮﻫ ْ َﻢ‬,you claimed‫زﻋ ْﻤﺘ ْﻢ‬who
َ ْ َ َ
And We will‫و َﺟ َﻌﻠﻨﺎ‬.to
َ
them‫ﻟ ُﻬ ْﻢ‬they will respond‫ﻳ ْﺴﺘ ِﺠ ُﻴﺒﻮا‬not

ً ‫ﱠ‬ َ َ
.a barrier‫ﻣ ْﻮ ِﺑﻘﺎ‬between them‫ﺑ ْﻴﻨ ُﻬﻢ‬make

and they will be‫ﻓﻈﻨﻮا‬,theَ Fire‫ٱﻟﻨﺎر‬the criminals‫ٱﻟﻤﺠ ِﺮﻣﻮن‬And willَ see‫َو َر َءا‬
َ
ْ ُ َ ْ َ َ ُ َ‫ﱡ‬ ُ ‫ﱠ‬
53 they will‫ﻳ ِﺠﺪوا‬And not‫وﻟﻢ‬.are to fall in it‫ﻣﻮ ِاﻗﻌﻮﻫﺎ‬that they‫أﻧﻬﻢ‬certain
ً ْ َ َ ‫ﻋ ْﻨ‬find
َ
.a way of escape‫‹ﻓﺎ‬ ِ ‫ﻣ‬from it‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻬ‬
ُْ َ َ [ َْ‫َ ﱠ‬ ْ َََ
the‫ٱﻟﻘ ْﺮ َ ْء ِان‬this‫ﻫٰـ َﺬا‬inŠWe ِ have explained‫ﺎ‬ ُ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻓ‬ µ,And certainly ‫ﺪ‬ ‫وﻟﻘ‬
َ َ ‫ﱠ‬
54 the‫ﻧﺴٰـ ُﻦ‬
َ ‫ٱﻹ‬But is‫وﻛﺎن‬.exampleۚ
ِ
َ ‫ﻣﺜ ٍﻞ‬every َ ‫ﻛ ﱢﻞ‬of‫ﻣﻦ‬for ِ mankind َ ‫ﺎس‬
ِ ‫ﻟﻠﻨ‬Quran ِ
ً َ َ ْ َ W َ َ ¦ ْ
.quarrelsome‫ﺟﺪﻻ‬things‫» ٍء‬in mosts‫أ ﻛ‬man
ُْٓ ُْ َ َ ‫ٱﻟﻨ‬prevents‫ﱠ‬ َ ‫ﻣ َﻨ‬And َ َ ‫َو‬
they‫ﻳﺆ ِﻣﻨﻮا‬that‫أن‬men‫ﺎس‬ ْ ‫ﻊ‬ nothing‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
ْ َْ َ
and‫و َﻳ ْﺴﺘﻐ ِﻔ ُﺮوا‬the guidance ‫ى‬ ٰ ‫ٱﻟ ُﻬ َﺪ‬has come to them ‫ﻢ‬ ُ ‫ﺟ ٓﺎ َء ُﻫ‬when
َ ‫ذ‬
ْ
‫إ‬believe
ْ ُ َ ْ َ َ ٓ ‫ﱠ‬ ْ ُ ‫ﱠ‬ َ ِ
55 comes to‫ﺗﺄ ِﺗﻴﻬﻢ‬that‫ن‬ ْ ‫أ‬except
َ ‫إﻻ‬,ofِ their Lord‫رﺑﻬﻢ‬they َ ْ ask forgiveness
ُ َ
comes to‫ﻳﺄ ِﺗ َﻴﻬ ُﻢ‬or‫أو‬of the former ْ ] َ[ ‫ٱﻷوﻟ‬the way‫ﺳ ﱠﻨ ُﺔ‬them
‫ﱠ‬ ُ
ً ُُ
people \ ِ َ َْ
?before them‫ﻗﺒﻼ‬the punishment‫ٱﻟﻌﺬاب‬them ُ

as‫ﻳﻦ‬X ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﻣ‬except
ِ ُ َٰ ُ َ ِ ‫ﻻ‬ ‫إ‬the Messengers ] \ ‫ﻠ‬ِ ‫ﺳ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ٱﻟ‬We send ‫ﻞ‬ ِ not‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
And‫وﻳﺠـﺪل‬.and as warnersۚ‫ﻨﺬ ِرﻳﻦ‬ َ ُ َ
ْ ُ ُْ ِ ْٰ َ ِ ‫وﻣ‬bearers ْ ََُ
of glad tidings
‫ﱠ‬
to‫ﻟﻴﺪ ِﺣﻀﻮا‬,with falsehood ‫ﻞ‬ ‫ﻄ‬ ‫ـ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﭑﻟ‬ ‫ﺑ‬disbelieve ‫وا‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻔ‬‫ﻛ‬those who َ ‫ٱﻟﺬ‬dispute
‫ﻳﻦ‬

ِ ِ ْ ِٓ ُ َ ِ ‫َ ﱠ‬ ‫ﱠ‬ ْ ِ
ٰ َ َ
My‰– ِ ‫ءاﻳـ‬And they take‫وٱﺗﺨﺬوا‬.the truthُۖ ‫ٱﻟﺤﻖ‬thereby َ ‫ﺑ ِﻪ‬refute
ً ُ ُ ْ ُ ٓ َ َ ِ
.in ridicule‫ﻫﺰوا‬they are warned‫أ ِﻧﺬروا‬and what‫وﻣﺎ‬Verses

ٰ َ ½ َ ‫ُﱢ‬ ‫ﱠ‬ ُ َ َْ ْ ‫َو َﻣ‬

of‫ﺑــﺎﻳـ ِﺖ‬is reminded ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻛ‬ ‫ذ‬than he who‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻣ‬is
ِ more wrong ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﻇ‬ ‫أ‬And who ‫ﻦ‬
َ َِ َ َ َْ َ َ ْ ََ ‫ر ﱢ‬the
َ
and¬ ِ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫و‬,from them‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻋ‬but turns away ‫ض‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﺄ‬ ‫ﻓ‬,of his Lord‫ۦ‬ ‫ﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﺑ‬ Verses
ََْ َ ‫ﱠ‬ ُ ََ ْ َ ‫َﱠ‬ َ
We‫ﺟﻌﻠﻨﺎ‬Indeed, We‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻧ‬
َ ِ ‫?إ‬his handsۚ
ً‫َ ﱠ‬ ‫اه‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻳ‬have sent forth ‫ﺖ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻗ‬what‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻣ‬forgets
ُ َُ َْ
they‫ﻳﻔﻘﻬﻮه‬lest‫أن‬,coverings ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻛ‬ ‫أ‬their hearts ‫ﻢ‬ْ ‫ﻗ ُﻠﻮﺑﻬ‬over
ُ ٰ
I
ََ
‫ﻋ‬have placed

ًْ َ ِ َ ِ ِ
َ [ َ
And‫و ِإن‬.is deafnessۖ‫وﻗ َﺮ َا‬their ears‫ءاذا ِﻧ ِﻬ ْﻢ‬and َ in
َ ِ
ٓ ‫و‬understand it

ْٓ ُ َ َْ ٰ َ ُْ ْ ُ ُ َْ
they‫ﻳﻬﺘﺪوا‬then never‫ﻓﻠﻦ‬,theَ guidance ً ‫ٱﻟﻬﺪى‬to†‫إ‬you ِ call them‫ﺗﺪﻋﻬﻢ‬if
ًَ
.ever‫أﺑﺪا‬then‫إذا‬will ِ be guided

of theۖ‫ٱﻟﺮ ْﺣ َﻤ ِﺔ‬Owner‫و‬
‫ﱠ‬ ‫ذ‬,is the Most Forgiving ‫ﻮر‬ your Lord ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ورﺑ‬
ْ ُ َ َ َ ‫ﺑ‬He were to seize them‫ﻳﺆاﺧﺬﻫﻢ‬If ُ ُ َ َ
ُ ‫ﻟ ْﻮ‬.Mercy
they haveَ َْ ‫ﻮا‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ﻛ‬for what‫ﺎ‬ َ ‫ﻤ‬ ِ ِ َ
َ
theۚ‫ٱﻟﻌﺬاب‬for them ُ ُ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ
‫ﻟﻬﻢ ﱠ‬surely, He would have hastened ‫ﻟﻌ َﺠﻞ ﱠ‬,earned

ْ ُ َ ٌ ْ‫ﱠ‬ ُ
they‫ﻳ ِﺠﺪوا‬never‫ﻟﻦ‬,is an appointment‫ﻣﻮ ِﻋﺪ‬for them‫ﻟﻬﻢ‬But‫ﺑﻞ‬.punishment
ً َ ُ
.an escape‫ﻣ ْﻮ ِﺋﻼ‬other than it‫وﻧ ِﻪۦ‬
ِ ‫ﻣﻦ‬will
‫د‬ ِ find

ْ ُ ٰ َََْْ ٰٓ َ ُ ْ َ ْ َ
We destroyed‫أﻫﻠﻜﻨـﻬﻢ‬,the ْ towns ‫ى‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻘ‬ ‫ٱﻟ‬And these َ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫َ و ِﺗﻠ‬
َ ْ َ
59 for their‫ﻟ َﻤ ْﻬ ِﻠ ِﻜ ِﻬﻢ‬and ِ We made‫و َﺟ َﻌﻠﻨﺎ‬,they َ wronged‫ﻇﻠ ُﻤﻮا‬when‫ﻟ ﱠﻤﺎ‬them
ً ‫ﱠ‬
.an appointed time‫ﻣ ْﻮ ِﻋﺪا‬destruction
ُ َ ْ َ َٓ ُ َٰ َ َ ُ َ َ ْ َ
I will‫أﺑﺮح‬Not"‫ﻻ‬,to his boy‫ﻟﻔﺘـﻪ‬Musa ِ ٰ
»‫ﻣﻮ‬said‫ﻗ َﺎل‬And when‫و ِإذ‬
ْ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ ْ َ َ ُْ ٰٓ ‫ﺣ –ﱠ‬cease
َ
60 of the two‫ٱﻟﺒﺤﺮﻳ ِﻦ‬the junction‫ﻣﺠﻤﻊ‬I reach‫أ َﺑﻠﻎ‬until َ ‰
ً ُ ُ َ [ ْ ْ
".for a long period‫ﺣﻘﺒﺎ‬I continue•ِ ‫أﻣ‬or‫أو‬seas
َ
َ ‫ﺑ ْﻴﻨﻬ‬the َ ‫ﻣ ْﺠ َﻤ‬they َ َ ََ ‫َﻓ َﻠ ﱠ‬
between‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ِِ junction ‫ﻊ‬ reached‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻐ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﺑ‬But when‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻤ‬
َُ َ َ َ ‫َ ﱠ‬ َ ُ َ
61 its‫ﺳ ِﺒﻴﻠﻪۥ‬and it took‫ﻓﭑﺗﺨﺬ‬,their fish‫ﺣﻮﺗ ُﻬ َﻤﺎ‬they forgot‫ﻧ ِﺴ َﻴﺎ‬,them
ً َ َ ْ َ ْ [
.slipping away‫ﺑﺎ‬±,the sea‫ٱﻟﺒﺤ ِﺮ‬intoŠway ِ
ُ َٰ َ َ َ ََ َ ‫ﱠ‬ ََ
to his‫ﻟﻔﺘـﻪ‬he ِ said‫ﻗﺎل‬they had passed beyond‫ﺟﺎوزا‬Then when‫ﻓﻠﻤﺎ‬
َ َ ْ ََ َََٓ َ َ َ
62 we have‫ﻟ ِﻘﻴﻨﺎ‬Certainly‫ﻟﻘﺪ‬.our َ morning meal‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫ء‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻏ‬Bring us"‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ءا ِﺗ‬,boy
َ َ َ َ
".fatigue‫ﻧ َﺼ ًﺒﺎ‬,this‫ﻫٰـﺬا‬our journey‫ﺳﻔ ِﺮﻧﺎ‬in‫ﻦ‬ َ ‫ﻣ‬suffered
ِ
َ ْ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َْٓ ََ ْ َ ْ َ ََ َ ‫َﻗ‬
the‫ٱﻟﺼﺨ ِﺮة‬to َٓ َ ِ † ‫إ‬we retired ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻳ‬ ‫و‬ ‫أ‬when ‫ذ‬ ‫إ‬,Did you see" ‫ﺖ‬ ‫ﻳ‬ ‫ء‬‫ر‬ ‫أ‬,He said ‫ﺎل‬
َ ُ ْ ُ ِ َ ‫َ [ﱢ‬
And‫وﻣﺎ‬.the fish‫ٱﻟﺤﻮت‬I forgot‫ﻧ ِﺴﻴﺖ‬Then indeed, I«‫?ﻓ ِﺈ‬rock َ
ُ ََُْ ْ َ ُ َٰ ْ ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ﱠ‬ ُ َٰ ْ
Iۚ‫أذﻛﺮهۥ‬that‫أن‬the ‫ٱﻟﺸﻴﻄـﻦ‬except ‫إﻻ‬made forget it‫أﻧﺴـ ِﻨﻴﻪ‬not
ْ Shaitaan ِ َ me

ْ َ [ َُ َ َ ‫َ ﱠ‬
the‫ٱﻟﺒﺤ ِﺮ‬intoŠits ِ way‫ﺳ ِﺒﻴﻠﻪۥ‬Andً it took‫وٱﺗﺨﺬ‬.mention it
َ
".amazingly‫ﻋ َﺠﺒﺎ‬sea
‫َ َﱠ‬ َ ‫ُﱠ‬ َ َ َ ‫َﻗ‬
So they‫"ﻓ ْﭑرﺗﺪا‬.seekingَۚ ‫ﻧ ْﺒ ِﻎ‬we were‫ﻛﻨﺎ‬is what‫ﻣ َﺎ‬That" َ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ٲﻟ‬ ‫ذ‬,He said ‫ﺎل‬

.retracing‫ﻗﺼﺼﺎ‬,their footprints‫ءاﺛ ِﺎر ِﻫﻤﺎ‬onI‫ﻋ‬returned

Our ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫ﺎد‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﻋ‬from ‫ﻦ‬ they found‫ا‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻓﻮﺟ‬
ُ َٰ ْ ‫َ َ ﱠ‬ َِ ِ ْ ‫ﻣ‬mercy
‫ﱢ‬ ً َ ‫ر ْﺣ‬whom َ ُ ٰ‫ء َاﺗ ْﻴ َﻨ‬,servants
َ
65 and‫وﻋﻠﻤﻨـﻪ‬,Us‫ﻨﺪﻧﺎ‬ ِ ِ‫ﻋ‬from ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ We had given ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ـ‬
ً ْ ‫ﱠُﱠ‬
.a knowledge‫ﻋﻠﻤﺎ‬Us‫ﺎ‬ ِ ‫ﻟﺪﻧ‬from‫ﻣﻦ‬We ِ had taught him
َ ُ ‫َﱠ‬ َ ُ him‫ﻟ ُﻪۥ‬Said َ َ ‫َﻗ‬
I follow‫أﺗ ِﺒ ﱢﻌﻚ‬,May"‫ﻫ ْﻞ‬,Musa»‫ﻮ‬ ٰ َ ‫ﻣ‬to
‫َُﱢ‬ ‫ﺎل‬ َ ََٓ
َ ْ ُ ‫ﱠ‬ َ ٰ ‫ﻋ‬you
66 you have been‫ﻋﻠﻤﺖ‬of what‫ﻣﻤﺎ‬you ِ teach me‫ﺗﻌﻠﻤ ِﻦ‬that‫أن‬onI
ً ْ ُ
"?of right guidance‫رﺷﺪا‬taught
َ َ َ َ ْ َ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َ
withÁِ ‫ﻣ‬,will be able‫ﺗﺴﺘ ِﻄﻴﻊ‬never‫ﻟﻦ‬Indeed, you"‫إﻧﻚ‬,He ِ said‫ﻗﺎل‬

.to have patience‫ا‬sً r ‫ﺻ‬,me ْ َ
ْ ُ َ ٰ َ ‫ﻋ‬you َ َ َ ‫َو َﻛ ْﻴ‬
you‫ﺗ ِﺤﻂ‬not‫ﻟ ْﻢ‬what‫ﻣﺎ‬for َ I have patiencesُ rِ ‫ﺗ ْﺼ‬And how can‫ﻒ‬
ُ
".any knowledge‫ا‬sً ْr ‫ﺧ‬of it‫ﺑ ِﻪۦ‬encompass

‫َ ٓ َ ُﱠ‬ ٓ [ ‫ﺳ َﺘﺠ ُﺪ‬,He َ َ ‫َﻗ‬
Allah َ /‫ٱ‬ ‫ء‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺷ‬if‫ن‬ ‫إ‬,You
ِ will find me" « ِ ِٓ َ َ said ‫ﺎل‬
ْ َ َ ْ َ َ
".order‫أﻣﺮا‬your‫ﻟﻚ‬I will disobey•ِ ‫أﻋ‬and not‫وﻻ‬,patient‫ﺻ ِﺎﺑ ًﺮا‬,wills

[ ْ½ ْ َ ََ [ َ َْ‫ﱠ‬ َ َ ‫َﻗ‬
ask ‰ ‫ﻠ‬
ُِ ْ‫ـ‬ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ﺗ‬do not ‫ﻼ‬ ‫ﻓ‬,you follow me ‰ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ٱﺗ‬Then if" ‫ن‬ ‫ﺈ‬ ‫ﻓ‬,He said ‫ﺎل‬
ً ْ َ َ َ ْ ُ ِ ٰٓ ‫َ –ﱠ‬ ِِ َ

70 a‫ذﻛﺮا‬of ِ it ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻣ‬to
ِ you ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻟ‬I present ‫ث‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ِ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫أ‬until ‰ ‫ﺣ‬anything ‫ء‬ ٍ »about‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻋ‬me
".mention
َ َ َ ٓ ‫ﱠ‬ – َ ََ َ َ
they had‫رﻛﺒﺎ‬when‫ا‬ ِ ‫إذ‬until ٰ
‰َ ‫ﺣ‬So they both set out‫ﻓﭑﻧﻄﻠﻘﺎ‬
َ
َ ‫ﻗ‬.he made a hole in itۖ‫ﺧ َﺮﻗ َﻬﺎ‬the ِ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬ [
He‫ﺎل‬ َْ َ ship ‫ﺔ‬ِ ‫ﻴﻨ‬ ‫ﻔ‬ِ ‫ٱﻟﺴ‬on Šembarked ََِ ْ َ َ
َ َ ُْ
you made a hole in it"‫أﺧ َﺮﻗ َﺘﻬﺎ‬,said

its‫أﻫﻠﻬﺎ‬to drown‫ﻟﺘﻐ ِﺮق‬,Have َِ
َ ْ ْ َ
".grave‫إ ْﻣ ًﺮا‬a ِ thing‫ﺎ‬ ‫ـ‬ ¶ ‫ﺷ ْﻴ‬you have done‫ﺖ‬ ‫ﺌ‬ ‫ﺟ‬,Certainly
ِ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫?ﻟﻘ‬people
َ َ ْ َ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬ ْ َُ ْ ََ َ ‫َﻗ‬
will be‫ﺗﺴﺘ ِﻄﻴﻊ‬never‫ﻟﻦ‬indeed, you‫إﻧﻚ‬,I ِ say ‫ﻞ‬ ‫ﻗ‬ ‫أ‬Did not" ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻟ‬ ‫أ‬,He said ‫ﺎل‬

".raising difficulty‫ا‬X‫ﻋ‬my affair‫أﻣ ِﺮى‬in‫ﻣﻦ‬be ِ hard upon me ‰ ِ ‫ﺗﺮ ِﻫ‬not

ْ َ َ َ َ ‫ﻗ‬.then he killed him‫ﻓ َﻘ َﺘﻠﻪۥ‬,boy ُ
a‫ﻧﻔ ًﺴﺎ‬Have you killed "‫أﻗﺘﻠﺖ‬,He said‫ﺎل‬
74 َ ْ ْ َ‫ﱠ‬ َْ ْ َ َۢ ‫َ ﱠ‬
you have‫ﺟﺌﺖ‬,Certainly ِ ‫?ﻟﻘﺪ‬a soul ًْ ‫ﺲ ﱡ‬ ٍ ‫ﻧﻔ‬for other thansِ \ ‫ﺑﻐ‬,pure ِ ‫زﻛﻴﺔ‬,soul ِ
¶ ْ َ
".evil‫ﻧﻜﺮا‬a thing‫ﺷﻴ ـﺎ‬done
َ َ ْ َ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َُ ْ ََ َ ‫َﻗ‬
will‫ﺗﺴﺘ ِﻄﻴﻊ‬never‫ﻟﻦ‬,that you‫إﻧﻚ‬to ِ you ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻟ‬I say‫ﻞ‬ ‫ﻗ‬ ‫أ‬Did not" ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻟ‬ ‫أ‬,He said ‫ﺎل‬
"?to have patience‫ا‬sً ْr ‫ﺻ‬with َ َ able
َ ِ ‫ﻣ‬be

َ َ َْ ْ َW َ َ َُْ َ َ ‫َﻗ‬
after‫ﺑﻌﺪﻫ َﺎ‬anything ‫ء‬ ِۭ »about‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻋ‬I ask you ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﻟ‬ ‫ﺄ‬ ‫ﺳ‬If"‫ن‬ ‫إ‬,He said ‫ﺎل‬
َ ْ َ ْ َ [ ْ ٰ َ ُ ِ ََ
76 you‫ﺑﻠﻐﺖ‬,Verily‫ﻗﺪ‬.keep me as a companionۖ‰ِ ‫ﺗﺼـ ِﺤﺒ‬then do not‫ﻓﻼ‬,it
ُْ ‫ﱠُ ﱢ‬
".an excuse‫ﻋﺬ ًرا‬from me«[ ‫ﻣﻦ ﻟﺪ‬have ِ reached
َ َْ َََٓ َٓ ٓ ٰ ‫ﱠ‬ – َ ََ َ َ
to the‫أﻫﻞ‬they came‫أﺗﻴﺎ‬when‫إذا‬until ِ ٓ َ ‰ْ َ ‫ﺣ‬So they set out‫ﻓﭑﻧﻄﻠﻘﺎ‬
َ ََْ َ ْ َ ْ َ
from its‫أﻫﻠﻬﺎ‬they asked for food َ ‫ٱﺳﺘﻄﻌﻤﺎ‬,of a town َ َ ‫ﻗﺮﻳ ٍﺔ‬people
ُ ُ َ ُ ْ ْ َ
offer them‫ﻳﻀ ﱢﻴﻔﻮﻫ َﻤﺎ‬to‫أن‬but they refused‫ﻓﺄﺑﻮا‬,people
ُ ُ َ َ ‫ﻓ‬Then they found‫ﻓ َﻮ َﺟ َﺪا‬.hospitality َ
77 that‫ﻳ ِ َﺮﻳﺪ‬a wall‫ﺟﺪ ًارا‬in ِ it‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻴﻬ‬ ِ ُ َََ َ
َ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َ
He‫ﻗﺎل‬.so he set it straightۖ‫ﻓﺄﻗﺎﻣﻪۥ‬,collapse‫ﻳﻨﻘﺾ‬to‫أن‬wanted
ََ َ ْ َ ‫َﱠ‬ َ ْ َ
ْ ‫ﻟ‬,said
for‫ﻋﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ‬surely you could have taken‫ﻟ َﺘﺨﺬت‬you wished‫ﺷﺌﺖ‬If" ِ ‫ﻮ‬
".a payment‫أﺟﺮا‬it ً ْ

َ َْ َ [ ْ َ ُ َ َ َٰ َ َ
and betweenۚ‫وﺑﻴ ِﻨﻚ‬between me‰ِ ‫ﺑ ْﻴ‬is parting‫ﻓﺮاق‬This"‫ا‬ ِ ‫ﻫـﺬ‬,He said‫ﻗﺎل‬
َ َ َ ُ‫َ َُﱢ‬
78 of‫ﻣﺎ‬of the interpretation‫ﻳﻞ‬ ِ ْ َ ‫ﺑﺘﺄ ِﱠو‬Iِ will inform youَ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﺳﺄﻧﺒﺌ‬.you
ْ َ َ َ

poor]\ ‫ﻟﻤﺴـ ِﻜ‬it ِ ‫ ﱡ‬was ‫ﻓﻜﺎﻧﺖ‬,the ship ‫ٱﻟﺴ ِﻔﻴﻨﺔ‬As for‫ﺎ‬ ‫أﻣ‬
َ َ ْ َ َ َ ْ ْ [ َ ُ
َ ‫ﻓﺄ‬.the sea‫ٱﻟ َﺒﺤﺮ‬inŠworking‫ﻳ ْﻌ َﻤﻠﻮن‬people َ
I‫أ ُِﻋ َﻴﺒﻬﺎ‬that ‫ن‬ ‫أ‬So I intended ‫دت‬ ‫ر‬ َِ ََ
79 ُ َْ ٌ ‫ﱠ‬ ُ َ ََٓ ِ
who‫ﻳﺄﺧﺬ‬a king‫ﻣ ِﻠﻚ‬after them‫وراءﻫﻢ‬as there was ُ ‫وﻛﺎن‬cause defect in it
ْ َ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬
.by force‫ﻏﺼ ًﺒﺎ‬ship‫ﺳ ِﻔﻴﻨ ٍﺔ‬every‫ﻛﻞ‬seized

his parents‫ﻓﻜﺎن أﺑﻮ َاه‬the boyٓ ‫ٱﻟﻐﻠـﻢ‬And َ as for‫وأﻣﺎ‬
َ ُ َ ْ ُ َ َ [ ْ َ ُْ
80 he would‫ﻳﺮ ِﻫﻘﻬﻤﺎ‬that‫أن‬and we feared‫ﻓﺨ ِﺸﻴﻨﺎ‬,believers]ِ \ ‫ﻣﺆ ِﻣﻨ‬were
َُْ ً ْ ُ
.and disbelief‫وﻛﻔ ًﺮا‬by transgression‫ﻃﻐ َﻴٰـﻨﺎ‬overburden them
َ ُ ‫ﱡ‬ َ َ ُ َ ُْ َ َٓ ْ ََ َ
their‫رﺑﻬﻤﺎ‬would change ْ َ for them‫ﻳﺒ ِﺪﻟ َﻬﻤﺎ‬that‫أن‬So we intended‫ﻓﺄردﻧﺎ‬
ً َ ُْ‫ﱢ‬ َ
81 in‫ر ْﺣ ًﻤﺎ‬and
ُ nearer‫وأﻗ َﺮ َب‬inَ purity‫ﻮٲة‬ ‫زﻛ‬than him‫ﻣﻨﻪ‬a better‫ا‬sً ْ\ ‫ﺧ‬,Lord

ْ َ َ ْ َ ٰ َُ َ َ َ ُ َ ْ ‫ﱠ‬ ََ
[
for two orphan]ِ \ ‫ﻟﻐﻠـﻤ \ ِ] ﻳ ِﺘﻴﻤ‬it [ ِ was‫ﻓﻜ َﺎن‬,the wall‫ٱﻟ ِﺠﺪار‬And as for‫وأﻣﺎ‬
َ ُ َ َ َ َ َْ
asٌ[ [ ‫ﻛ‬underneath it‫ﺗ ْﺤﺘﻪ َۥ‬and was ‫ﺎن‬ ‫ﻛ‬ َ
‫و‬,the town ‫ﺔ‬
ِ ‫ﻳﻨ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ِ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ٱﻟ‬in Š,boys[
ِ
َ ُ ُ َ ََ َ ُ ‫ﱠ‬
ٓ َ َُْ َ ‫أﺑﻮﻫﻤ‬andَ was
their‫ﺎ‬
‫ﱡ‬ َ
‫وﻛﺎن‬for them‫ﻟﻬﻤ َﺎ‬treasure
َ َ َ ً ‫ﺻٰـﻠ‬father َ
they‫ﻳﺒﻠﻐﺎ‬that‫ن‬ ‫أ‬your Lord ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ر‬So intended ‫اد‬ ‫ر‬‫ﺄ‬ ‫ﻓ‬.righteous‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺤ‬ ِ

َ ُ َ[ [ َ َ ْ َ ْ ََ َ ُ ‫َ ُ ﱠ‬
their‫ﻫﻤﺎ‬s‫ﻛ‬and bring forth‫وﻳﺴﺘﺨ ِﺮﺟﺎ‬,their maturity‫أﺷﺪﻫﻤﺎ‬reach
ُ ُْ َ َ َ ‫ﱠ ﱢ‬ ‫ ﱢ‬a mercy‫ر ْﺣ َﻤ ًﺔ‬treasure
I did‫ﻓ َﻌﻠﺘﻪۥ‬And not‫و َﻣﺎ‬.your Lordَْۚ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ر‬from‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻣ‬as َ
َ ْ َ
َ ُ َ َ ْ
of‫ﻣﺎ‬is the interpretation‫ﺗﺄ ِوﻳﻞ‬That َ ‫ذ ِٲﻟﻚ‬.my own accordۚ‫أ َﻣ ِﺮى‬on‫ﻋﻦ‬it
‫ﱠ‬ َ
".to have patience‫ا‬sً ْr ‫ﺻ‬on َ it‫ﻋﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ‬you were able‫ﺗ ْﺴ ِﻄﻊ‬not‫ﻟ ْﻢ‬what

[ ْ ََْْ َ َ َ ُ½ ْ َ َ
-Dhulۖ]ِ \ ‫ذى ٱﻟﻘﺮﻧ‬about‫ﻦ‬
ِ ‫ﻋ‬And they ask you ‫و ُﻳﺴ ـﻠﻮﻧﻚ‬
ًْ ُْ‫ﱢ‬ ََُْ ْ َُْ َ
83 a‫ذﻛﺮا‬aboutِ him‫ﻣﻨﻪ‬to you‫ﻋﻠﻴﻜﻢ‬I will recite"‫ﺳﺄﺗﻠﻮا‬,Say‫ﻗ ْﻞ‬.qarnain

ُ َ َ َ َْ [ َُ ‫َﱠﱠ‬ ‫ﱠ‬
and‫و َءاﺗ ْﻴﻨٰـﻪ‬,the earth‫ض‬ ‫ر‬ْ ‫ٱﻷ‬in

ِ him‫ۥ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻟ‬We ُ established‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻣ‬Indeed, We‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫ِإ‬

َ ٰ َ of dark‫ﺣ ِ ْﻤ َﺌ ٍﺔ‬a
ُ spring]ٍ \ ‫ﻋ‬inŠsetting
ًِ ْ َ ‫ﺗﻐﺮب‬he found it‫وﺟﺪﻫﺎ‬,sun
َ َ َ َ ََ
86 ‫ﻳـﺬا‬,We said‫ﻗﻠﻨﺎ‬.a ‫ ﱢ‬communityۗ َ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻣ‬‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻗ‬near
ٓ‫ﱠ‬ it‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫ﻨﺪ‬ ‫ﻋ‬and
ِ he found ْ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ووﺟ‬,mud
َ َ ُ ْ َ َ
[ \ ‫ٱﻟﻘ ْﺮﻧ‬
you‫ﺗﻌﺬب‬that‫أن‬Either‫!إﻣﺎ‬O ِ Dhul-qarnain"] ِ َ ٓ‫َ ﱠ‬
ً ْ ُ ْ َ ‫َﱠ‬
".with goodness‫ﺣﺴﻨﺎ‬in them‫ﻓ ِﻴﻬﻢ‬you ِ take‫ﺗﺘ ِﺨﺬ‬that‫أن‬or‫و ِإﻣﺎ‬punish

ُُ ‫َُ ﱢ‬ َ ْ َ َ َ َ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َ َ
we‫ﻧﻌﺬﺑﻪۥ‬then soon َ ‫ﻓﺴﻮف‬,wrongs‫ﻇﻠﻢ‬one who‫ﻣ ُﻦ‬As for"‫أﻣﺎ‬,He said‫ﻗﺎل‬
‫ﱢ‬ َ †ٰ ‫إ‬he will be returned‫ﻳ َﺮ ﱡد‬Then
his‫رﺑ ِﻪۦ‬to ُ ‫ﺛ ﱠﻢ‬.will punish him
87
ْ‫ﱡ‬ ِ ً ََ ُُ‫ََُ ﱢ‬
ً
.terrible‫ﻧﻜﺮا‬with a punishment‫ﻋﺬاﺑﺎ‬and He will punish him‫ﻓﻴﻌﺬﺑﻪۥ‬,Lord

ً ٰ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ْ َ ‫ﱠ‬ ََ
righteous‫ﺻـ ِﻠﺤﺎ‬and does‫وﻋ ِﻤﻞ‬believes ْ ‫ءاﻣﻦ‬one who‫ﻣﻦ‬But as َ for‫ﺎ‬ َ ‫وأﻣ‬
ُ َُ َ َ َ ْ ُ ً ٓ َ َ ُ
88 And we will‫وﺳﻨﻘﻮل‬.goodۖ‰ٰ [ ‫ٱﻟﺤﺴ‬is a reward َ ‫ﺟﺰاء‬then for him‫ۥ‬ َ ‫ﻓﻠﻪ‬,deeds
ُ َ ُ
".with ease‫ا‬X ً ْ ‫ﻳ‬our command‫أ ْﻣ ِﺮﻧﺎ‬from‫ﻣ ْﻦ‬to ِ him‫ﻟﻪۥ‬speak
َْ ُ
89 a course‫ﺳﺒﺒﺎ‬he followed‫أﺗﺒﻊ‬Then‫ﺛ ﱠﻢ‬
ً َ َ َ َ

of the‫ﺲ‬ ‫ﻤ‬
‫ﱠ‬
ْ ‫ٱﻟﺸ‬the rising place ‫ﻊ‬ َ reached‫ﺑ َﻠ َﻎ‬when‫ا‬
َ ‫ﻣ ْﻄﻠ‬he َ ‫ذ‬
َ
‫إ‬,Until ‰ٰٓ ‫َﺣ –ﱠ‬
َ ِ ْ‫ﱠ‬ َ ََٰ ِ ُ َْ ِ َ َ َ َ

َ ْ ْ
We‫ﻧﺠﻌﻞ‬not‫ﻟﻢ‬a community‫ﻗﻮ ٍم‬onI‫ﻋ‬rising‫ﺗﻄﻠﻊ‬and he found ُ it‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫وﺟﺪ‬,sun
ًْ – َ ُ ‫ﱢ‬ ُ ‫ﱠ‬
.any shelter‫ا‬s‫ﺳ‬against ِ it‫وﻧﻬﺎ‬ ِ ‫ﻣﻦ د‬for them‫ﻟﻬﻢ‬made
ْ ََ َ َ ْ َ َ ََْ َ َ َ
was with‫ﻟﺪﻳ ِﻪ‬of what‫ﺑﻤﺎ‬We ِ encompassed‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻄ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫أ‬,And verily ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻗ‬ ‫و‬.Thus ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻛﺬ ِٲﻟ‬

.of the information‫ا‬sً ْr ‫ﺧ‬him

92 a course‫ﺳﺒﺒﺎ‬he followed‫أﺗﺒﻊ‬Then‫ﺛﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﱠ ﱠ‬ َ [ ْ َ َ ََ َ ٰٓ ‫َﺣ –ﱠ‬
the two ‫ﻦ‬‫ﻳ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ٱﻟﺴ‬between ] \ ‫ﺑ‬he reached ‫ﻎ‬ ‫ﻠ‬‫ﺑ‬when‫ا‬ ‫ذ‬ ‫إ‬,Until

a‫ﻗﻮﻣﺎ‬besides them‫وﻧ ِﻬﻤﺎ‬ ِ ‫ﻣﻦ د‬he ِ found‫و ُﺟ َﺪ‬,mountains ‫ﱠ‬

his‫ﻗﻮﻻ‬understand‫ﻳﻔﻘﻬﻮن‬who would almost‫ﻳﻜﺎدون‬not ‫ﻻ‬,community

we‫ﻧﺠﻌﻞ‬So may‫ﻓﻬﻞ‬.the َ land ‫ض‬ِ ‫ر‬ ‫ٱﻷ‬in Šare
ِ corrupters ‫ون‬ ‫ﻣﻔ ِﺴﺪ‬Majuj
َ َ
ٰٓ َ َ َ َ
you‫ﺗ ْﺠ َﻌ َﻞ‬that‫أن‬onI ‫ﻋ‬an expenditure‫ﺧ ْﺮ ًﺟﺎ‬for you‫ﻟﻚ‬make

"?a barrier‫ﺳﺪا‬and between them‫و َﺑ ْﻴﻨ ُﻬ ْﻢ‬between us‫ﺑ ْﻴﻨﻨﺎ‬make

ٌ ْ َ ‫ﱢ‬ َ ‫ﱢ‬ [ ‫َﱠ‬ َ َ َ

iss\ ‫ﺧ‬my Lord«r َ ‫ر‬in it‫ﻴﻪ‬ ِ ‫ﻓ‬has
ِ established me‰‫ﻣﻜ‬What"‫ﻣ َﺎ‬,He said‫ﻗﺎل‬
ْ َ ْ ‫ﱠ‬ ُ [ ُ َ
95 I will‫أﺟﻌﻞ‬,with strength‫ﺑﻘﻮ ٍة‬but ِ ْ ُ َ assist me«‫ﻮ‬ ِ ‫ﻓﺄ ِﻋﻴﻨ‬,better َُ َ
َْ َ َ
.a barrier‫ردﻣﺎ‬and between them‫وﺑﻴﻨﻬﻢ‬between you‫ﺑ ْﻴﻨﻜ ْﻢ‬make
ً ْ
ٰ َ َ َ ٓ ٰ ‫ﱠ‬ – َ َ ْ َ َ ُ [ ُ َ
he had‫ﺳﺎوى‬when‫ا‬ َ ‫إذ‬,until
ِ ‰‫"ﺣ‬of ironۖ َ ‫ٱﻟﺤ ِﺪ ِﻳﺪ‬sheets‫زﺑﺮ‬Bring me«‫ﻮ‬ ِ ‫ءاﺗ‬
َ ْ
[ \ ‫ٱﻟﺼﺪﻓ‬between] َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ ْ َ
[ \ ‫ﺑ‬leveled
he‫ﻗﺎل‬,the two cliffs] ِ
َ
َ ‫ﻗ‬,fire‫ا‬ َ َُ َ َ ٰٓ ‫"ﺣ –ﱠ‬,Blow"ۖ
َ ْ ُ ُ
‫ﻧ ًﺎر‬he made it‫ﺟ َﻌﻠﻪۥ‬when‫ا‬

he‫ﺎل‬ َ ‫ذ‬ ‫إ‬until
ِ ْ ْ ‰
ُ ‫ﻮا‬ ‫ٱﻧﻔﺨ‬,said
".molten copper‫ﻗﻄ ًﺮا‬over
ْ
it ‫ﻪ‬
َ
ْ ‫ﻋﻠ‬I pour‫أﻓﺮغ‬,Bring me"«‫ﻮ‬
‫ﻴ‬ ٓ [ ‫ء ُاﺗ‬,said
َ
ِ ِ ِ ِ
َ َ ُ ُ َ َْ َ ْٓ َُٰ ْ َ َ
and‫وﻣﺎ‬scale it‫ﻳﻈﻬﺮوه‬to‫أن‬they were able‫ٱﺳﻄـﻌﻮا‬So not‫ﻓﻤﺎ‬
97 ًْ َ َُ ْ ََُٰ ْ
.to do any penetration‫ﻧﻘﺒﺎ‬in it‫ﻟﻪۥ‬they were able‫ٱﺳﺘﻄـﻌﻮا‬not
َ َ ‫ﱢ‬ ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ﱢ‬ ٌَ ْ َ َ َٰ َ َ
But‫ﻓ ِﺈذا‬.my Lordۖ«r ‫ر‬from‫ﻣﻦ‬is a mercy‫رﺣﻤﺔ‬This"‫ﻫـﺬا‬,He said‫ﻗﺎل‬
ُ ََ َ ‫ﱢ‬ َ ُْ َ َ َٓ
98 He will make‫ﺟﻌﻠﻪۥ‬,of my Lord«r ‫ر‬the Promise‫وﻋﺪ‬comes ‫ﺟﺎء‬when
Ÿ َ ‫ﱢ‬ ُْ َ َ ََ ٓ‫َﱠ‬
".true‫ﺣﻘﺎ‬of my Lord«r ‫ر‬the Promise‫وﻋﺪ‬And is‫وﻛﺎن‬.levelۖ‫دﻛﺎ َء‬it َ

ُ ُ َ َ ْ َ ْ ُ َ َْ َ ََْ َ
to‫ﻳﻤﻮج‬on that Day‫ﻳﻮﻣ ِﺌ ٍﺬ‬some of them‫ﺑﻌﻀﻬﻢ‬And We will leave‫وﺗﺮﻛﻨﺎ‬
‫ﱡ‬ [ َ َُ َ
ْ ‫ﺑ‬over [
99 the‫ﻮر‬ِ ‫ٱﻟﺼ‬in Šand
ًِ ْ َ will be blown‫ﺦ‬ ‫ﻔ‬ِ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫و‬,othersۖ ‫ﺾ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ Šsurge
ٍ ُ َٰ ْ َ َ َ ِ
.all together‫ﺟﻤﻌﺎ‬then We will gather them‫ﻓﺠﻤﻌﻨـﻬﻢ‬,trumpetْ

َ َ ْ‫ﱢ‬ َ ‫َ ﱠ‬ َ ْ َ
to the‫ﻟﻠﻜـ ِﻔ ِﺮﻳﻦ‬on that Day‫ﻳ ْﻮ َﻣ ِﺌ ٍﺬ‬Hell
ٰ ‫ﺟ َﻬﻨ َﻢ‬And We will present‫َوﻋ َﺮﺿﻨﺎ‬
ً َ
on display‫ﻋ ْﺮﺿﺎ‬,disbelievers

ْ ُ َ َِ ْ َ
101 and‫وﻛﺎﻧﻮا‬,My remembrance‫ذﻛ ِﺮى‬from‫ﻦ‬ ِ َ ‫ﻋ‬cover
َ ُ َ ْ َ
.to hear‫ﺳ ْﻤ ًﻌﺎ‬able َ ‫ﻴﻌﻮن‬ ‫ﻳﺴﺘ ِﻄ‬not‫ﻻ‬were
ْ ُ ‫َﱠ‬ َ ْٓ َُ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َ ََ
they can‫ﻳﺘ ِﺨﺬوا‬that‫أن‬disbelieveَ ‫ﻛﻔﺮوا‬those who‫ٱﻟ ِﺬﻳﻦ‬Do then think‫أﻓﺤ ِﺴﺐ‬
ٓ‫ﱠ‬ َ ‫أ ْوﻟ َﻴ ٓﺎ‬besides Me«‫و‬ ٓ [ ‫ﻣﻦ ُد‬My َ ‫ﻋ‬take
,Indeed‫?إﻧﺎ‬as protectorsۚ ‫ء‬ ِ servants‫ى‬ ‫ﺎد‬ ‫ﺒ‬
102 ً ُُ ِ َ ِ
ٰ َْ َ ‫َِ َ ﱠ‬ َ ْ َ ِْ َ
ِ
as a‫ﻧﺰﻻ‬for the disbelievers‫ﻟﻠﻜـ ِﻔ ِﺮﻳﻦ‬Hell ِ ‫ﺟﻬﻨﻢ‬We have prepared‫أﻋﺘﺪﻧﺎ‬- We
.lodging
َ َ ْ َْ ُُ‫َُﱢ‬ ْ َ ْ ُ
of the greatest‫ﻳﻦ‬X ِ ‫ﺑﭑﻷﺧ‬We ِ inform you‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻧﻨﺒﺌﻜ‬Shall"‫ﻫﻞ‬,Say‫ﻗﻞ‬
103 ً َٰ ْ َ
?as to their deeds‫أﻋﻤـﻼ‬losers
َ ْ ‫ﱡ‬ َ َ ْ [ ْ ُ ُ ْ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬
of the‫ٱﻟﺪﻧﻴﺎ‬the life‫ﻮٲة‬ ‫ٱﻟﺤﻴ‬inŠtheir effort ‫ﺳﻌﻴﻬﻢ‬is lost‫ﺿﻞ‬- Those‫ٱﻟ ِﺬﻳﻦ‬
َ ُ ِ ْ ُ ِ ‫َﱠ‬ َ ُ َ
104 were acquiring‫ﻳﺤ ِﺴﻨﻮن‬that they‫أﻧﻬﻢ‬think‫ﻳ ْﺤ َﺴ ُﺒﻮن‬while ْ ُ َ they‫وﻫ ْﻢ‬,world
ْ ُ
".in work‫ﺻﻨ ًﻌﺎ‬good

ٰ َ ½ ْ ََُ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ ٰٓ َ ْ ُ
in the‫ﺑــﺎﻳـ ِﺖ‬disbelieve ‫ﻛﻔﺮوا‬are the ones who‫ٱﻟ ِﺬﻳﻦ‬Those‫أوﻟـ ِﺌﻚ‬
ْ َ َ َ ِ َٓ َ ْ ‫ر ﱢﺑﻬ‬Verses
َ
So are‫ﻓﺤ ِﺒﻄﺖ‬.and theَ meeting with Him‫و ِﻟﻘﺎ ِﺋ ِﻪۦ‬,of
ََ their Lord‫ﻢ‬ ِ ُ َٰ ْ َ
105
َ ْ َ ْ ُ ُ ُ ْ ُ
on the‫ﻳﻮم‬for them‫ﻟﻬﻢ‬We will assign‫ﻧ ِﻘﻴﻢ‬so not‫ﻓﻼ‬,their deeds‫أﻋﻤـﻠﻬﻢ‬vain
ًْ َ َ ٰ َ ْ
.any weight‫وزﻧﺎ‬of the Resurrection‫ٱﻟ ِﻘﻴـﻤ ِﺔ‬Day
ْ َ َ ُ ‫ﺟ َﻬ ﱠﻨ‬-َ is their recompense‫ﺟ َ ٓﺰا ُؤ ُﻫ ْﻢ‬That َ َ َ
they‫ﻛﻔ ُﺮوا‬because‫ﺑ َﻤﺎ‬- ِ Hell ‫ﻢ‬ ُ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ذ ِٲﻟ‬
َ ْ َ ‫ﱠ‬
Verses‰– ِ ‫ء َاﻳٰـ‬and took‫وٱﺗﺨﺬ ٓوا‬,disbelieved
َ
106 and MyIِ ‫و ُر ُﺳ‬My َ
ُ
.in ridicule‫ﻫ ُﺰ ًوا‬Messengers
ٰ َ ٰ ‫ﱠ‬ ْ ُ َ َ ْ َُ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ﱠ‬
righteous‫ٱﻟﺼـ ِﻠﺤـ ِﺖ‬and did ‫ﻮا‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ِ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫و‬believed ‫ﻮا‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫اﻣ‬ ‫ء‬those who ‫ﻳﻦ‬ ‫ﺬ‬ِ ‫ٱﻟ‬,Indeed ‫ن‬ ‫ِإ‬
ْ َ ْ ْ ُ ٰ‫َ ﱠ‬ ْ ُ َ ْ َ َ
107 of the‫س‬ ِ ‫ٱﻟ ِﻔﺮدو‬Gardens‫ﺟﻨـﺖ‬for ً them will be‫ﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﻟﻬﻢ‬,deeds
ُُ
,as a lodging‫ﻧﺰﻻ‬Paradise
َْ َ ُ َ َ َ ‫َﺧٰـﻠﺪ‬
from‫ﻋﻨ َﻬﺎ‬they will desire‫ﻳ ْﺒﻐﻮن‬Not ‫ﻻ‬.in it‫ﻓ َﻴﻬﺎ‬Abiding
ِ forever‫ﻳﻦ‬ ِ ِ

.any transfer‫ﺣﻮﻻ‬it ِ

‫ﱢ‬ َ ٰ َ َ‫ﱢ‬ ً َ ُ ْ َ ْ َ َ ْ ‫ﱠ‬ ُ

of my«r ‫ر‬for the Words ْ ‫ﻟﻜ ِﻠﻤـ ِﺖ‬,ink‫ﻣﺪادا‬the ِ sea‫ٱﻟﺒﺤﺮ‬were َ ‫ﻛﺎن‬If "‫ﻟﻮ‬,Say‫ﻗﻞ‬
ْ َ َ
the‫ٱﻟ َﺒﺤ ُﺮ‬surely would be exhausted‫ﻟﻨ ِﻔﺪ‬,Lord َ
‫ﱢ‬ ُ َٰ َ َ َ َ َ
of my«r ‫ر‬the Words‫ﻛ ِﻠﻤـﺖ‬were exhausted‫ﺗﻨﻔﺪ‬that‫أن‬before‫ﻗ ْﺒ َﻞ‬sea

".as a supplement‫ﻣﺪدا‬the
ً ََ ْ
like of it‫ﺑ ِﻤﺜ ِﻠ ِﻪۦ‬We brought‫ﺎ‬
َْ
‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﺌ‬ ‫ﺟ‬even if ‫ﻮ‬ ْ ‫و َﻟ‬,Lord
َ
ِ ِ

ٓ ٰ َ ُ ْ ُ ُْ ‫ﱢ‬ ٌ َW َ ۟ َ َ َٓ ‫ﱠ‬ ْ ‫ُﻗ‬

Has been¯‫ﻳﻮ‬.like you‫ﻣﺜﻠﻜﻢ‬am a manX‫ﺑ‬I‫أﻧﺎ‬Only" ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫إ‬,Say ‫ﻞ‬
َ َ ٌ َ ٌ َٰ ْ ُ ُ َٰ َٓ ‫َﱠ‬ ‫ﱠ‬ َ ِ
So‫ﻓﻤ َ ْﻦ‬.Oneۖ‫و ِٲﺣﺪ‬is God‫إﻟـﻪ‬your ِ God‫إﻟـﻬﻜﻢ‬that ِ ‫أﻧﻤﺎ‬to me†‫إ‬revealed
ْ َ ْ َ ‫ﱢ‬ َ َ ٓ َ ْ ُ ْ َِ َ َ
110 let‫ﻓﻠﻴﻌﻤﻞ‬,with his Lord‫رﺑ ِﻪۦ‬for the meeting ََ ‫ﻟﻘﺎء‬hoping ِ ‫ﻳﺮﺟﻮا‬is‫ﻛﺎن‬whoever
َ َ ْ ْW ُ ً ٰ َ ً َ َ
in the‫ﺑ ِﻌﺒﺎد ِة‬associate
ِ ‫ك‬Xِ ‫ﻳ‬and َۢ َ َ not‫وﻻ‬righteous‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺻـ ِﻠﺤ‬deeds‫ﻋﻤﻼ‬him do
".anyone‫أﺣﺪا‬of his Lord‫رﺑ ِﻪ ٓۦ‬worship ‫ﱢ‬ َ
