I'm michael, a junior architect dedicated and concern about architecture as an essential tool to pursuit
the ultimate happiness for humanity. I believe it is one of the main reasons that humankind had survived
these last million years. I had a bachelor's degree from the Faculty of fine arts department architectural,
had the LEED Green Associate credential, accredited from the U.S. GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL that
demonstrates the knowledge and understanding of green building practices and principles. Excellent
program commander of "AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, Sketchup, V-ray plugin, Lumion, Photoshop, and
Illustrator," with more than two years' experience in interior architecture as a drafter and perspective
illustrator for a sensible number of projects.
When I was a kid, I used to see Antonio Gaudi's architecture works, especially "Basilica of Sagrada Família
and Casa Batlló" through national geographic documentaries. Then I decided to complete my university
study in Architecture. During college, I was fascinated with passive design, green and sustainable
architecture. My graduation project was extremely affected by these terms and It was to design a stadium
in an arid desert area exposed to a great deal of heat pressure. By mimicking the biology form of the
cactus to generate a geometrical origami shape for the bowel of a stadium has many benefits. For
instance; the structural designs of cactus have a low heat-reflecting capacity, since their surface is greatly
reduced so as to cut down on the thermal gain, by equipping many cactuses with cooling ribs. These shade
the cactus’s surface against the scorching sun and simultaneously improve heat radiation, Ribs and
tubercles are another type of surface modification that can affect surface temperature. Consequently, the
entire stadium's skin which is about an origami shape, is not fully exposed to the sun due to the self-
shading by changing its R-value, cutting the cost of artificial ventilation and the cost of operation. Since
that time, I had known what I'm going to specialize in after my graduation.
As I have mentioned before, my life dream is to work in the sustainable architecture field. So I carried out
extensive research into Deggendorf Institute to apply for the master program " Healthy and Sustainable
Buildings, M.Eng." and Hochschule Wismar applying for "Master in Architecture" as I found that: they have
an impressive track record of achievement, are very supportive of their students, have a high rate of
acceptance for international students, have an inspiring working climate with the appropriate degree of
on-site support, they provide extensive master program full of knowledge and regard to do something
unusual in sustainability and architecture which will help me to achieve my long term career goals with a
high standard that respected by the industry.
I had and still have the honest intention which pushing me to do something great through sustainable and
environmental architecture, which may serve the humanity and public common, but truly goodwill is not
enough as there is so much yet to learn and gain in this regard. Admission to this scholarship would be
extremely helpful for a step towards becoming a better and more educated architect, I also hope to
reinforce and perfect previous experience and education on how to implement and manage different
architecture projects. Your generous scholarship is not just money given it's more than that. It is the given
love and a continuous way for the good from you. I believe that you want me to do the same as you do:
yearn soul for helping others, spread the gaining knowledge.
Thank you for providing such a great scholarship dedicated for architect to help them achieving their goals.
Sincerely,
Michael
