Primary characteristics
Pneumatic valve positioners NAF 370210, 370215
and electro-pneumatic valve positioners NAF 370300,
370305 have the following features:
NAF 370300
Simple, robust construction with few moving parts,
NAF 370305
no maintenance required.
Clear indication of valve opening position whatever
the location of the positioner.
The two versions have a large number of parts in
common, and these are fully interchangeable be-
tween the two versions.

Application Balance spring - "Split-range" function
The positioner is used for stepless control of control Pneumatic 3-9 psi (20-60 kPa) lower range
valves (via pneumatic actuators) to the setting that signal 9-15psi(60-100kPa) upper range
corresponds to the pneumatic or electric control
signal. Electric 4 - 12 mA lower range

Standard positioners can easily be modified to "split

range" function using an accessory kit that contains
all the necessary parts.
For the lower range of the signal, one spring (10) with
Design an outside diameter (dy ) of 22 mm is used; see Fig. 3.

versions as listed below. spring as used for normal signal range).
Each cam disc has two different cam curves, D for

control signal. Direct function gives increasing valve Pneumatic Electro-pneumatic
opening, whilst reversed function gives decreasing positioners positioners
valve opening for increasing control signal. NAF 370210, 370215 NAF 370300, 370305
For actuators with "spring open" function, positioner -60P -60P
with reversed function (R) has to be used (in cobination -70P -70P
with inverted tube connection). This obtain "spring -90P -90P
open" function both at fail of control signal and -60L -60L
supply air. -70L -70L
To change the function, the cam disc is turned -90L -90L

Valve positioners and actuators No. 434 881 01
The valve positioner is designed to be mounted
directly on NAF actuators. Other makes of actuator
may be used. The spindle sleeve of the actuator has Ordering example
a slot to receive the positioner spindle. A driver then NAF 370300 - 90P Valve positioner
transfer the rotary motion from the actuator to the Control signal 4 - 20 mA
valve positioner. The spindle is spring-loaded for Action D
transmission without backlash.
If control signal is not specified the positioner will be
set for air signal 3-15 psi and action D.
Index disc
The positioner has a large and distinct index disc with
indication upwards as well as to any required side.
The disc has red indicator markings for 60/70° or 90°
rotation angle.
The cover and index disc can easily be removed, so
that they can be fitted in the required position.
