    THE GETMYUNI GROWTH HACKING CHALLENGE

    (9th Feb – 28th Feb 2015)

    About Us

    GetMyUni is an internet start-up based out of Paris and New Delhi. We are a Tripadvisor/Zomato for
    colleges where students can share their experiences by rating and reviewing their college.
    Our mission is to help students make intelligent college decisions based on peer information and not just
    traditional information propagated by colleges.
    We also develop analytics driven recruitment, marketing and communication platforms for colleges enabling
    them to attract, engage and recruit the best students globally.

    Live Project Description

    The main aim of the live project is to create:


    1. Growth Strategies: Understand growth strategy of Leading Global Tech Companies like Facebook,
    Twitter, Pinterest, Tinder, Twitter, Tumblr and Reddit and suggest 3(three) similar growth
    strategies for GetMyUni to increase the User and Review database
    2. Social Media Growth: Suggest hacks to enable exponential growth for GetMyUni on social media -
    Facebook (shares, likes), Instagram (shares, competitions) and Twitter (likes, retweets).
    3. User Virality: Suggest methods and referral strategies to ensure virality coefficient of > 1. This
    means to ensure that every user of GetMyUni atleast brings one more person to the platform

    Use any 2-3 strategies suggested and prove effectiveness by executing in your own
    college/other colleges to bring as many users and reviews on GetMyUni.

    Team Size, Deliverables and Timelines

    1. Team Size:
    The live project can be done only in teams of two. Register your team here:

    2. Timelines:
    Feb 09 (Monday) : Live project commences
    Feb 18 (Wednesday) : Submission of 3-5 slide presentation answering all questions
    Feb 28 (Saturday) : Final date for Proof of concept execution (only reviews brought in till this date
    will be considered for final evaluation)
    3. Deliverables:
    The final deliverable will be a 5-7 slide presentation answering the above three questions and
    implementation of the proof of concept of the selected strategies.

    What’s on Offer

    1) Cash Prizes and Awards: The top 3 teams will stand to win INR 7k, 5k and 3k respectively.
    Teams ranked 4th and 5th will get certificates of excellence and an opportunity to present the final
    recommendations to the management team in Apr 2015.
    2) Full Time Paid Internships/Jobs: The best individuals will get opportunities for full time paid
    internships/jobs with GetMyUni
    3) Live Project Certification: On successful completion of the live project, all candidates will receive
    a Live Project completion certificate from GetMyUni.

    Q1. How do we completely understand your product - GetMyUni?


    A1. We have pre-launched at http://schoolbook.getmyuni.com
    It is mandatory for every participant to give a quality, unbiased and helpful review of their college first,
    before making the submission. You can also peruse this teaser video to get more clarity about GetMyUni:

    Q2. How will your review score be tracked?


    A2. Everytime you get a review, the reviewer has to put in your unique e-mail id (Email Id of team
    member1) in the slot shown below for you to accumulate points

    Q3. Who will get the Live Project certificate?


    A3. Every team which satisfactorily completes the Live Project i.e. answers all questions and is able to pilot
    a few of the suggested strategies to get reviews, will be eligible for the Live Project Certificates (minimum
    of 25 quality reviews)

    Q4. How will the top 5 teams be shortlisted?


    A4: Scoring will depend equally on quality of strategies and the pilot execution of the same (number of
    reviews got by teams)

    Q5. How will the top 5 teams make the presentation?


    A5. Since we are based out of Delhi, the final presentation will be conducted over Skype in the second week
    of March. Teams will be given a few days notice before their presentations.
