Values education is an explicit attempt to teach about values and/or valuing.
Superka, Ahrens, & Hedstrom (1976) state there are five basic approaches to
values education inculcation, moral development, analysis, values clarification,
and action learning.

-Now that students have a solid list of examples of respectful behavior,
some role-playing will really help to drive home some of these
strategies.Divide students into groups of 4 or 5. Starting with the first category
(Respect to Others), ask each group to select one of the strategies they have
listed and come up with a 1- to 2-minute skit that portrays the way they can
show respect to others.After each short performance, ask for their peers to
offer constructive critiques or questions. Did their skit exemplify how to show
respect to others? Allow organic conversation to take place if it does. These
might be some of the best conversations that come out of this lesson!
