    My desktop companion

    Today’s world is the world of technology and technology has recently emerged in every possible
    sector. Amongst them, the invention of computers has added a new dimension to the field of
    technology. When it comes to computing devices, the trend is everything is getting smaller as days pass
    by. In my opinion, desktop computers are the best examples of technological advancement in today’s
    world.

    The advantage of having a desktop computer is huge. Being a student I get many benefits from it
    as it gives me a fast speed service than many other technological devices. Desktops allow me to have
    proper posture of the back, arm, and wrists while working. The distance and eye level from the display
    monitor are relaxing and comfortable. There is a constant update on the hardware parts of the desktop
    computer that are easily replaceable to improve performance. This allows me to do hardcore
    programming and do heavy stuff simultaneously. My computer also allows me to surf the internet. From
    there I get to gather a lot of information for my studies. In this pandemic situation, I am getting
    immense help from my desktop computer by attending online classes from it. Nowadays desktop
    computers are sold at a very reasonable price too. As the world is growing day by day, a computer like
    this lets me keep the pace of growing together too.

    The desktop computer is used as a personal computer at a single location. The most common
    configuration of it is that it has a case that houses the power supply, motherboard, memory, disk
    storage, a keyboard and mouse for input and a monitor, speaker, and printers for output. The computer
    even allows for good entertainment. Anyone can enjoy movies, shows, games from it and use it as a
    good pastime.

    Desktop computer invention has a nice behind story. The first computer was about the size of a
    typewriter and was not much handy. So scientists tried improving the computer and in the mid-1970's
    they successfully launched the first home computer and named it TRS-80, Apple II, and Commodore
    Personal Electronic Transactor. So it is lastly considered that the first desktop was introduced in 1975
    and we have been using it till now.

    Computers have now become a part and parcel of life. In this online era, it is difficult to work
    without such a device. It lessens my workload to a great extent. During the last few years, the usage of
    computers has increased at a huge rate and it shows the usage of computers in home and abroad. So, to
    have a good connection with modern life a computer is a must.
