Styling bike though looked a little better. Splendor
comes in about colors and varying stripe combinations. The wheels are -spoked
aluminium alloy type, and spoke as well. The headlight is big and stylish trapezoidal
multireflector type that gives bright light at low speeds as well, because of powerful
battery and this gives the direct current high beam that is not dependent on the rpm of
the engine.
This is achieved by powerful battery which powers the DC high beam in the headlamp and its strength is not
dependent on the engine rpm. Circuitry for the low beam and pilot lamp has also been enhanced for low
variation in intensity arising from changes in the engine rpm. The bike gives comfort upright and comfortable
riding posture. The easy riding can be enjoyed by both for the rider and those on the pillion. Telescopic fork type
hydraulic front suspension.
The company claimed that the
new engine of 97.2cc. Better power & torque at
lower engine RPM for comfortable city riding, that is marginally improved over the
Splendor Plus. The motor looks like itâ½s the same one as that in the CD Dawn
version. The bike does sound nice and does not noise out too much as well even on a
long drive. The low end torque of the engine to give a no-noise drive even at 20 kmph
in the fourth gear; and guess that sets Hero Honda apart from other bike manufacturers.
The Splendor NXG has a smooth gearshift complying with the industry standards. The bike has internal expanding
shoe type brakes and kick start options. The maximum achievable speed is about 90 kmph and the mileage is
about 77 for city and highway combined. Optimum gear ratios for better pickup, mutlireflector headlight that
provides better visibility even at lower speeds. The fuel switch is easier to operate than usual switches with thin
levers.
