As we go through this essay, we will uncover the erroneous notions about the event that can

only be addressed by thinking on it more deeply, differently, and substantially than the
prevalent view of history until now.
Renato Constantino demonstrates how Filipino historians were used by conquerors to write
history based on their own biases during the first section of the book. Foreign invaders
provided us with education, but this education marked the beginning of our country's
colonization. These educations instilled in us misunderstandings and erroneous information
about the Philippines' past, concealing the truth. What are the consequences? There are
erroneous facts in elementary school, high school, and college textbooks. Furthermore, these
novels are only about heroes, heroic acts, events, and everything related to them.
