When the sun comes out and it’s safe to play

I’ll tip my hat when you pass my way
I will cherish you more than ever
For by the grace of God we will once more be together

When I awoke this morning

I thought of Gods many blessings
Even though I have crosses to bear
Like so many others I too share
Disappointments and challenging life lessons
It never prevents me from paying attention
To the gratitude I have in my heart
All by the grace of God
 God Bless the Addict

Addiction it does little good to ask why, but so much good to ask how?
Recovery can begin when the addict reaches out
One could pretty much be addicted to anything at all
A sure thing is that the addict and their loved one’s suffered
Let us pray that one day at a time they choose to recover
For addicts are sadly affected by mental, physical, emotional and spiritual pain
Toxic guilt, remorse, sickness and shame
It does little good to blame
From a disease that is overtaking them
With the loss of their dignity and self-esteem
Affecting lost souls and heartache for the entire family
Hoping to achieve some peace and serenity
Friends and co-workers are affected too
They need support to be renewed
Its important when the addict is ready for support to follow through
The addict needs a spiritual connection
For this powerful disease can lead to death and destruction
We need to come together to foster a new beginning
While they address their addictions
We need to show them all love
The greatest power of all
 Sometimes

Sometimes we all need to cry

When loved ones are taken away from us and we don’t know why
Sometimes life can break our hearts
We try our best to carry on and do our best part
Sometimes we feel like the sun will no longer
Shine
We hold our heads up high and try not to whine
Sometimes the debts are high and the funds are low
We keep our faith and try to be grateful
Sometimes we need a friend who will listen to our woes
No judgements but rather to guide us in letting go
Sometimes we just need a walk in the park
Where we can see in nature the very essence of God
 Dignity and Grace

Here I stand a woman with dignity and grace

For when I said yes, I do, it was then that God washed the tears away
There was a time
When alcohol and relationships consumed my addicted mind
When I dropped the word blame
Surrendered to Jesus all the guilt and shame
I forgave myself and others by his holy grace
Every family goes through heartache and pain
Give unconditional love to them all and pray
Gods love will always remain the same
His love heals our hearts and souls
Let us forever surrender and let go
Thy will not mine be done
Jesus waits with open arms for everyone
Thank you, Jesus, for a blessed life
 For my family who make my life cherished and bright
My students through the years
The magic between us that I hold so dear
Thank you too for cherished friends
The ones who say yes, I do again and again
For each time we say yes, we’re saying yes to love
Sent from heavenly blessings up above

The violence, losses, and everything else that goes with it

When I am in denial and refuse to look within
The times that I have been selfish and thought of only me

May we all be blessed

For nothing in this world is perfect
Jesus Is the only one
He is the most high the son
Of God who is our holy father
I need to focus on Jesus and me
For I’m powerless over everyone and everything
I can change my relationship with God
By nourishing it
Or choose to do my will and ignore it
How can I build the most important relationship of all?
By turning over my will
My life over to the care of God
Give him my soul and heart
Work on character defects/sins
 Being selfless forgiving and loving
I choose to focus on the one perfect thing in my life
By following my loving father Jesus Christ
What is the most important thing in your life?
We need to silence the noise in the world that brings strife
I will never be perfect its true
Lord help me to remember that I can pick up the cross to be renewed
 The Search

What are we looking for?

Do we allow our hearts to open doors?
How have we filled our souls?
How do we treat people?
Do I turn to a Higher Power/God for answers?
Or do I assume I’m in control of whatever?
Searching for life’s answers takes courage to begin or master
Even then it’s not always an easy task
Some may believe that all they need to do is ask
Other’s search for solace and peace
Living in harmony
Having faith in God and choosing to believe
Let us search till eternity
For this search just may set us free
 The Invisible Monster

An invisible monster pounded upon my heart

I wept and begged it to stop
I gripped at the thought of facing my demise
The air in my lungs drowned then there was no life
My spirit watched others being taken out by this monster too
I witnessed spirits spin endlessly around the moon
Decency was threatened upon the globe
People wailed and the monster took hold
Painful feelings of great despair
Floated endlessly in mid air
Suddenly the monster danced with great flare
I woke up from my dream and prayed for the world
I begged God for mercy upon his people
So that justice, healing and peace could unfold
 Listen
Have I brought others closer to God?
Do I listen to broken hearts?
Am I a loving Christian or not?
 Today

Am I listening to others today?

Am I listening to what my inner child has to say?
I trust in God’s grace
 A Song of Prayer

I wrote a song prayer for you today

I sang you a tender lullaby
Asking God to show you the way
Are you missing me now?
Am I but a clown in the crowd?
Yes, I sang a song for you today
Asking the angels to guide your way
Did you notice any change?
Was your heart softened in the rain?
Are you dreaming of me my love?
As you watch the twinkling stars above?
Is there a sparkle in your eyes?
Do you ever feel hypnotized?
I sang a song prayer for you today
I visioned that beautiful smile you always gave
While missing the dreams we once made
For destiny never came
I’m accepting our fate

Gracing their lives to be more blessed

For it is you that I adore
I when I search my heart, I always find so much more

Is sent from up above

Enjoying nature, fishing, boating, or watching a family of deer

As the grief provides relief and I dry the tears
I prayerfully have faith

By God’s almighty grace

No one knows the hour or the day

Of judgment day
When the end will come
To go before the Father, Holy Spirit, and Son
Until then I think that it’s fair to say

For Empathy

Am I empathetic?
Am I sympathetic?
When someone turns to me
Do I share hope and empathy?
Do I foster kindness to those grieving with sympathy?
Am I compassionate and honor them with dignity?
Am I letting them know I care, and that they’re not alone?
While welcoming them into my hearts home?
Do I make that loving call?
Or do I think only of myself and stall?
Lord let me always be kind and humble
For each life is precious and fragile
I believe that the more we give to our sisters and brother
Our cups run over
With blessings from our Higher Power
In the end everyone feels so much better
For we are all in this together

To change the world, I’d start with me

Ask God for guidance and humility
Reach out to the children
Share my poetry with them
Tell them they’re a blessing
Pray that they’d feel God’s perfect love
Show them how to fly like a Dove

Sunset at it’s very peak
Heaven sent colors of wonderment sent by thee
As we strolled along the seashore in love and harmony
Loving memories of our cherished love are now ours for eternity
Awe, the intriguing beach set our hearts and souls free

The Grace of God

I dreamed a heavenly dream last night

Glorious angels told me that our futures look bright
To follow the light
I saw tears fall from Jesus’ beautiful eyes
For the blessed love he had for us all deep inside
The angels were singing our futures look bright
They whispered into my ears
Tell the people we feel all the pain and suffering that they have endured
Jesus is touched deeply by his people coming together
The kindness in supporting their sisters and brothers
I saw a glow of pure love on Mother Mary’s face
My heart burst with joy and amazing grace
Our Mother is grateful for all the Rosary’s and prayers that take place
The angels whispered our futures look bright
God is by your sides
He feels your pain, losses and strife
Suddenly, I was walking along the Seashore
When the angels cried out “Fear no More”
They told me to open the inspiring door
To a blessed future untouched
Where we could fly high with the Dove
 The Pandemic was over!
Violence was no more
Loved ones being united like never before
Only kindness and love were inspired throughout the world
With an abundance of love and joy that was blessed onto every boy and girl

The squirrels run up and down the trees
The cute bunny rabbits hopping in your yard were so sweet

One time they even showed them on TV
Your generous actions and concern
You inspired me to discern

 The Joys of Spring

The sun was shining brightly today

As I walked peacefully along my way
I noticed a baby bird chirping happily
The mother bird was singing to its babe merrily
A family of Deer were crossing over a golden path
Baby chicks following them eagerly made me stop and laugh
Down by the lazy brook was a bear and its adorable cub
They were so cute playing together in the hayfields having so much fun
As I walked to a county park there were mountains of squirrels gathering accords
Suddenly, I watched a baby Robin being born
What a joyful Spring Day!
I thanked the good Lord for all that he gave
After awhile I danced across a field of daffodils
When I spotted a fox with eyes as dark as the night
It felt like everything would somehow be all right
I felt happy and started singing a tune
Before I knew it, the time was way past noon
The fox gazed at me as I reluctantly passed on by
Then to my wonder and surprise
I came upon a beautiful Ocean front with high tide
Dawn was quickly approaching
I watched the Sea Gulls soaring towards the majestic sky
Upon daybreak I thanked God for being alive
 Love and Care for the Children

If your down and feel insecure

I will dry your tears
When your special dream comes true
I promise to root for you
If you ever feel lonely in a crowded room
Please remember I will love and care for you

The Little Girl

She stood there shy and uncertain

Wondering if anyone was paying attention
Sadly, she felt trapped in a facade of indecision
If only she could exhibit Jesus’ Holy light and be envisioned
Of feeling ok in her own skin
Thinking to herself, could this be where self-love can begin?
Feeling peaceful deep down inside she bowed her head and thanked him
 Sobriety

Sobriety is a gift blessed by thee

All one needs
Is the willingness to achieve sobriety
To unlock the key
To be set free
To become all we’re meant to be
To accept that addictions is a disease
Have a mustered of faith and believe
I once was blind but now I see
 The World Needs Healing

In a world of violence and disease

The world has been brought to its knees
Throughout the planet there lies an anointed light
Some choose to follow it
And others may give up the fight
Where there is love, there is hope for a blessed life
This precious light offers faith with sheer delight
While darkness casts doubt and despair
The healing light is for all and is always there
As the world seeks answers to the unknown
Many find solace and hope
Let us all come together and pass on the anointed light
