i) H faces south and I sits third to the right of H.
ii) I faces the person who sits second to the left of G.
iii) H is an immediate neighbour of E and it is also given E sits at
extreme end of the row.
iv) E faces B.
v) The one who was born in 1979 sits to the immediate right of B.
vi) Only one person sits between B and one who was born in 1986.
vii) One who was born in 1979 faces the person from Tripura.

viii) Only 2 people sit between persons from UP and Tripura.
(so, person from UP must be third to the left of C according to given
condition).
ix) Only 1 person sits between A and C.
(so, A and C must be sitting facing North , one 2nd from the left end
and other 4th from the left end as there is no other possible place for
both A and C).
Therefore, Case – 1 and Case – 2 arise because position of A and C is
not clear.

x) D belongs to Bihar and faces the person who sits on the
immediate left of C. (so, person sitting on immediate left of C belongs
to UP. Therefore, D must sit opposite to person who belongs to UP).
Therefore, Case – II is eliminated as it does not satisfy the condition
(I already placed opposite to person who belongs to UP in Case – II).

xi) The one who belongs to Bihar faces the one who sits on the
immediate right of the person who was born in 1985.
(so, A must be born in 1985).
xii) J was born in 1983 and person born in 1988 sits third to the
right of J. (so, J must sit on the extreme left end of Row – 2).
xiii) The person who was born in 1979 does not belong to HP.
xiv) The one who belongs to HP sits between MP and Bihar.
(so, person born in 1986 must belong to HP).

xv) A does not belong to Haryana.
xvi) There are 2 persons between the persons from WB and
Haryana. (so, A must belong to WB as there
is no other possibility).
xvii) There is only one person sitting between the persons who were
born in 1981 and 1984. (so, only possibility is both G and E were
born in 1981 and 1984).
xviii) The one who was born in 1984 sits opposite to the one born in
1982. It is also given that, B was not born in 1982.

11) Option a) is the correct answer as I was born in 1980.

12) Option a) is the correct answer as no one sits between B and H.
13) Option b) is the correct answer as the statement – the one who
belongs to UP sits at extreme end is definitely false.
14) Option a) is the correct answer as the person who was born in
1985 belongs to West Bengal (WB).
15) Option c) is the correct answer as only 2 persons sit between the
person who belongs to Tripura and J.

SOLUTION (16-20):
i) The person from Bank Power faces the one who is on the
immediate left of R.
ii) B sits on the immediate left of the person from Bank Power.

Bank Power B
R

iii) S faces the one who is sitting on the immediate right of the
person from Microsoft.
(so, we get possible cases here).
Case 1:

Bank Power B Microsoft

S R
Case 2:
Microsoft Bank Power B

S R

Case 3:
Bank Power B Microsoft

R S

iv) Persons from IBM and Microsoft are immediate neighbors.

v) The person from Microsoft faces the person who is on the left of
the person from Google.
(so, case 3 gets eliminated here as it does not satisfy the condition).
Case 1:

Bank Power B Microsoft IBM

S R Google

Case 2:
IBM Microsoft Bank Power B

S Google R
vi) There is only one person sitting between the persons from
Google and TCS but that person is not P.
vii) The persons from Google and HUL are not sitting at the extreme
ends.
Case 1:

Bank Power B Microsoft IBM

S, TCS R Google

Case 2:
IBM Microsoft Bank Power B

S, TCS P,Google R

viii) R is neither from Google nor from HUL.

(so, case 1 gets eliminated here).

IBM Microsoft Bank Power B

S, TCS HUL P,Google R

ix) An immediate neighbor of A faces the person from Career Power.

IBM Microsoft A BankPower B

S, TCS HUL P,Google R Career Power

x) C does not sit at the extreme end.

IBM C Microsoft A Bank B

Power
S, TCS HUL
P,Google R Career Power

After filling the remaining data, we get:

ROW 2

D IBM C Microsoft A Bank B Adda 247

Power
S, TCS Q,HUL
P,Google R Career Power
ROW 1

16) Option a) is the correct answer as B belongs to Adda 247.

17) Option b) is the correct answer as Q sits to the immediate right
of one who belongs to TCS.
18) Option d) is the correct answer as one who belongs to HUL sits
in Row 1 whereas others (given in the options) sit in Row 2.
19) Option c) is the correct answer as A sits second to the left of one
who belongs to IBM.
20) Option b) is the correct answer. B is related to Career Power as B
