Daniel Lazăr – Violonist

Born in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, Daniel Lazar began studying violin at the Ciprian
Porumbescu Music School, under Viorica Andriuta at the age of six. At the age of eight, he went to
Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and studied five years under Valeriu Maior at the Sigismund Toduta Music
School. In present he is the pupil of Dorina Botu, and by now he managed to win National and
International Music Competitions like:
- International Piano and Violin Contest “Festival 4 Arts”, 2021
- International Music Competition “Lvivskii Virtuoz”, 2019
- “Lira de Aur” National competition of musical interpretation, 2019
- International Music Competition “G. Georgescu”, 2017
- Romanian National Olympiad of Musical Interpretation, 2017
- Sigismund Toduta International Festival, 2016 and others.
Now, he is preparing for some concerts in which he will play some ansambles like Passacaglia –
Halvorsen, Mendelssohn – Piano Octet in E flat major and Wieniawski – Caprice No.4 and No 8 for
two violins.
He was impressed by the Lviv and by the high level of the Contest “Lvivskii Virtuoz”, that’s why
he wanted to return at this wonderful city and competition.
