CROSS BELT MAGNETIC SEPARATORS:
The Cross-Belt Separator is a suspended magnet with a continuously running belt that strips off
captured tramp metal and discharges off the side or end of the conveyor. The permanent
magnetic forces provide continuous and effective removal of unwanted tramp metal. Permanent
magnet will retain tramp metal even during power outages and fluctuations.
Whether you are in the Plastic, Electronic, Tire, Paper, Metal, or Wood Recycling business,
Bunting Magnetics Co. Cross belts do a great job of separating ferrous metal contamination from
non-ferrous products. They are also an ideal means of cleaning the product stream for equipment
protection on shredded plastic being conveyed between Shredders and Granulators to protect
against costly knife damage and maximize product purification.
These units can also be designed into “custom systems” in combination with the Transfer or Pick
Conveyors with Stainless Steel bed sections or over Vibratory Trays for optimum separation.
Bunting Engineers will provide full 3D System CAD Models and 2D dimensional drawings for
system review analysis when orders are place
The Pipeline Magnetic Separator is ideal for the removal of ferrous and paramagnetic
particulates from a range of liquids and free flowing dry products, and is therefore suitable for
filtration of products within the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, ceramic, animal feed and gas
and oil industries. The Easy Clean Pipeline Separator is a fully bespoke product and can be
designed to fit any size of pipeline, with flanges and fittings to suit each customer’s
requirements. As product flows past the powerful magnetic bars, ferrous particles as small as 30
microns and tiny paramagnetic particles such as stainless-steel scrapings are filtered out.
These very fine ferrous and stainless-steel particles are smaller than can be detected with a metal
detector.Cleaning is simple and efficient. With product flow stopped, the extractor tube unit can
be removed from the pipeline. The magnetic bars can then be pulled out of the extractor tubes,
causing the contaminant particles to fall off. The images below show the unit in the closed and
open positions.Where required, this separator can also be designed with a water jacket to provide
an insulating layer to maintain product temperature.
By changing significant factors, for example, move speed and feed rate, it is conceivable to
enhance the creation of top notch glass items. In some writing has seemed comparative test, the
powder was seen in the partition of a liquid reactant breaking (FCC) in the belt to influence the
sort and thickness of the belt [12]. There is another investigation dependent on the division of
hematite from silicate-containing gangue minerals .
Offset configuration separates clusters and coordinates material into attractive field.
Select twofold or single protuberance lodgings measured and furnished to your specs.
Mild steel or hardened steel development.
Transitions for round, square, or rectangular rambling.
Hinged plate magnets swing open for snappy manual cleaning.
Self-cleaning models lessen cleaning time and work.
Magnetic Plates are important industrial iron separators that are used for the separation of fine
ferrous materials and tramp iron from many types of free-flowing and pneumatically conveyed
material like corn, sugar, flour, gravel, plastic, and others granular materials. The Plate Magnets
also go very well with powdery, moist, lumpy, and abrasive products and large debris that might
choke, bridge, or cause rapid wear in cartridge-based separators. Plate magnets are flexible
enough to be deployed above conveyors or below conveyor drive pulleys to capture
contaminants. They are available in both flat and curved shapes and can be installed either above
or at the discharge end of material flow.
For Iron Removal, Magnetic Plates are generally located above the material flow attracting the
iron particles. The Magnetic Separation Process involves the magnetic field penetrating the
product flow and grabbing tramp iron as it passes by the Plate. The concentrated field holds
tramp iron tightly to the magnet surface until removed during the cleaning process. For the
Separating of Ferromagnetic material like Tin/M.S. sheets and containers from conveyor belts,
multiple Magnetic Plates at various locations are used. This prevents the falling off of
sheets/containers back into the conveyor
