I.Objectives: At the end of the lesson, pupils are expected to:


a. Describe animals in our surroundings.
b. Perform the animal movements in a particular habitat
c. Give the importance of animals and their particular habitat.

II.Subject Matter
Topic: Animal Movements in a particular Habitat
References: Science IV
Material: Pictures, masking tape, cartolina, and power point presentation.

an animals here. Each group will
be given two kinds of animal. All
you have to do is to read carefully the
clue and the instructions that will
be posted on the board.

Ok class, thinking back to our song
while ago, can you name the animals
in the song? Yes teacher!

What are they? Yes Barby? Teacher, duck, dog and chicken!

Did you see these animals in our


surroundings? Yes teacher!

Okay!!....This afternoon, we will


discuss about animal movements
in their particular habitat.

where they lived!

2. Discussion
Today I will present to you some
pictures in the board. Class, try
to name the different animals
here in the pictures.

The pictures are fish, cow, rat, frog, cat, dog.


Where can we find these animals?
Yes Lynette? In the farm ma’am!
Jennifer? Forest ma’am!
Marilyn! In the sea ma’am!

Aside from the animals in the


pictures, can you name other
animals that you can be found
in your surroundings? Yes teacher!
chicken, lizard, and pig!

Each animals class are in different
sizes, sounds, and also have their
different habitat.

Habitat is actually a place where


animals normally lived.

Can you give an example of an animals


and state to us where they lived?
Yes Aileen? Dog ma’am.

Why dog? We have dog in our house ma’am, dog need


Shelter so that they cannot get harm with
bad people and dog also need food in order
to survive.

How can you take good care of
the animals in your surroundings?
Yes angel? By giving them food.

of our friends.

animals lived? Teacher, some of them lived in water, and
other’s are in land.

Okay Mark? Habitat is a place of a particular animal
where they can sustained to live.

animal with their habitat? Fish in a river ma’am!

Do you think, fish can also live in

Correct! That’s why animals have


their own way of living and place
to live, in order to survive!

How can you compare animals


to human? Yes Juliet? Animals are just like human because they
have also life and feelings like us. God
created them for a reason!

purpose and obligations to live
and to survive….

two groups. We’re going to act like
an animals. The group who can
guess more exact names of an
animals, will be declared as a
winner!

who will act here in front. Joana teacher is our group 1 leader.

How about the group 2? Mark Stephen will be our group leader teacher!

Now I’m going to give the list of
animals to your leader and it’s all
up to him/her on how to give
actions to it. In 30 seconds countdown,
you must then stop guessing..

IV. Evaluation
List down at least five animals in each column. The column represents the places or
habitat where the animals lived.
