Story idea start:

A teenage boy’s curiosity gets the better of him and decides to explore and go through an abandoned
building, as he goes through the building, he starts to get a feeling of unease, after a while of exploration
he slowly starts to realize that he may not be alone. As sounds are made and objects are moved, the
villainous character starts to develop a personality the audience is able to latch onto without coming on
screen, adding a character, the villain will not be revealed in the opening, making the lack of group
members a non-issue for our project. The abandoned structure we find will also have some
characteristics and leftover writing/graffiti to be able to make it an extra character to the movie
opening. Low key lighting will be used throughout the opening as well as chiaroscuro to help extenuate
the mystery of the structure with our main character being of mystery himself. The movie will have no
dialogue whatsoever, only the panting and heavy breathing of our main character and the quick
footsteps of our villain off-screen.
Story Idea 2
Whilst investigating the death of his friend, a detective called Tayeb uncovers a legend about a
supernaturally-cursed mask in Qatar. As soon as anyone wears the mask, he or she would be cursed for
life causing them to have a painful death.
The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day-to-day life, but when photographed, they
look mirrored. A marked person feels cold like ice to touch.
Tayeb gets a hold of the mask, refusing to believe the superstition. When he holds the mask a whisper of
a person persuading him to wear it comes out of thin air. A collage of images flash into his mind when
he decides to wear: a black snake slithering on his body and into his mouth. Finally, an old human figure
with old tribal clothes, wearing the mask crawling towards him like a spider in an old house.
When Hemo notices that in all of his photos of himself his face is blurred and ruined not allowing him to
see himself even through mirrors, he realizes that the curse of the mask is true and calls in his friend, a
computer programmer called Eissa, to help.
Eissa examines the Mask and willingly submits himself to the curse. He finds that the same visions flash
before his eyes. He joins the queue for a supernatural death.
Tayeb and Eissa pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search about the
origin of the mask and the house that they both saw in their visions. Will they be able to stop the curse
before their time is up?

Story idea 3:
Friends are in the back of an SUV playing card games and talking about killer stories in the desert at
night, close by behind a rock/bush is a silhouette of a mysterious person, we then get a close up of the
person holding a knife, the lights of the car can be seen in the background, out of focus. The muffled
sound the conversation of the friends plays as background ambient sound is played as the figure slowly
approaches the vehicle. The pleonastic sound of the “shing” of the knife against the rock is heard as he
gets up to walk towards the group of friends. The sound of the footsteps and this sound is played as the
figure approaches:
Suspense Sound Effect - Scary Rising Horror
As the figure approaches the car the quick cuts between the knife and feet of the figure and the moving
hands of the friends playing cards. Once he gets close enough to seem inevitable, one of the friends gets
out of the car and turns to the left of the car where the figure was walking, where the suspense reaches
its highest with the song in the background, but the figure is nowhere to be seen. The false sense of
safety lures the friend behind the same bush/rock. Where we can see his silhouette from a low angle
with the killer behind who slashes his knife. A cut to the ground where we see blood splatter is shown,
this is followed by the name sequence of the movie, named “The Nomad”.
The Props
Homemade fake blood. By mixing Corn syrup with red and
blue food coloring.
People exposed to core disgusts (blood, guts, body products) showed higher
levels of attention the more disgusting the content grew even though they had
negative reactions to the content. We use blood to grab the audience’s attention
and to let them know that someone is killed or injured.
Mask
We will use a mask to hide the identity of the antagonist. (serial killer).
A Knife
The weapon that the antagonist will use to murder people. We will use a knife
because it kills the target slowly and makes them lose a lot of blood. Rather than
a gun that will kill the target easily.
A deck of cards
We will use a deck of cards as a prop to show what the characters are playing.
At the start of the scene and grab the viewers' attention.
A Tripod: A tripod keeps your camera absolutely still; you
won't have to worry about any movement that will cause
camera shake.
Location Desert: The desert is a vast, sterile landscape of death. All
this to say the desert is a terrible place to live, but a great place to set
a horror film
An Abaya: We used an Abaya to cover the gender of the

antagonist and their identity to give a sense of mystery and
make it hard for them to know who is the killer.
