Procedure
We are delighted that you are considering applying to the Higher Sports managed International Player
Development Programme. Before you submit your Application, please review all the steps below, as
the following section will provide step‐by‐step guidance through the Football Academy Application and
Admissions process.

Student Eligibility
The Higher Sports Academy welcomes football players from around the world, who meet our entry criteria.
To become a player on The International Development Programme, you must:

 Be prepared to re‐locate yourself to Spain


 Immerse yourself in football and Spanish and Gibrlatar culture
 Demonstrate good academic proficiency
 Demonstrate a desire to improve your football performance
 Meet visa entry requirements in Spain

Step By Step Guide To the Application and Admissions


Process
1. Complete the Application Form – Ensuring that you complete all sections and complete any
additional forms as required.
2. Return the Application Form to [email protected] ensuring you include any
additional forms as requested. Attach evidence of academic qualifications, a copy of the photograph
page of your passport and 2 character references.
3. You will then be sent an invoice for your non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total cost.
4. Pay invoice
5. The Higher Sports Academy Team will then invite you to a Skype interview with a member of the
academy staff
6. If you are accepted onto the programme, we will send you a conditional offer letter, a course
acceptance form and an invoice for your 2nd payment of a further 30%. By Email.
7. Pay 2nd payment and return your course acceptance form –
8. We will then send you an invoice for the balance of your fees to be paid in 10 monthly instalments
9. Continue to work with The Academy to ensure successful visa application
10. Complete and return your registration form
11. Make travel arrangements to arrive in Spain on the 1st August 2020
12. Also make travel arrangements for the Christmas Holiday period [The academy will be closed for two
weeks over Christmas]
13. Confirm your travel arrangements with the academy so we can ensure you are collected at the
airport on your arrival.
14. Enrolment at The Academy – presenting any original documents e.g. passport as requested
